The staff were amazing when my mother slipped and fell in the bathroom after a shower. Special thanks to Monique who upgraded us to a Jamaican breakfast, arranged for a doctor to come to to the hotel to assess my mothers injury's and even contacted me a few weeks after my trip to check on my mother.

The glass shower screen needs to be larger, water from the shower goes everywhere and there was no bath matt, so very slippery. There needs to be a caution sticker by the shower and or larger shower screens. We were there for one night and came to reception on two occasions but it was quite late in the evening, and didn't see anyone at reception to ask for a matt.

The hotel was lovely, the staff were adorable, very friendly. The room was clean the cot was there on arrival, sheets were clean we were able to just shower and get into bed after a long travel there were no delays which we appreciated so much. Would stay here again! Thanks for having us.

Only slightly negative is the parking lot area or to get in and out of the parking lot is very narrow with very steep drops and we were in a 7 seater so had to be extremely cautious and it was a rental but plenty spaces in the parking lot and easy access to the reception area.

If I was to come back to Kingston I would definitely stay here and recommend to others as well, we had a room with a large comfortable king-size bed and kitchenette with a washing machine and dryer which came in super handy especially since you'll want clean clothes from a sweaty day out. It's a great location walkable to Devon House and the Bob Marley museum as well as good supermarkets but if you don't feel like walking you can easily catch route or private taxis. My favourite part about the hotel is the rooftop restaurant where you can have all your meals and the bar which was playing great music and made strong drinks. It does close by 10.30pm but you can't hear it from the rooms. If you're catching the Knutsford express onwards you can also walk 10 mins or so to the bus station. The hotel also has a gym with decent amount of equipment and the rooms have strong air con which is well needed. Breakfast was also good with Jamaican and continental options

The shower water pressure was good enough but as a girl who likes to wash my hair every other day it could be better lol but honestly it's not a big deal, it was fine

The staff members provided us good customer service, and were very professional and friendly. The hotel itself is modern and chic. I loved the display of art and the overall ambiance. The rooftop is a cool spot to brag a bite and vibe with friends and family. The room was clean, there was always hot water, and good working AC of course ! The location of the R Hotel is also a very central area to just about everything in uptown Kingston! Great, great, great, location near everything! I would definitely stay here again!

The breakfast is complimentary which is wonderful, but the breakfast was just ok. I have had better breakfast else where, especially the Jamaican breakfast offered there. Also, the safe for our room was out of commission, so we used my moms safe in another room. This was a inconvenience. Apart from the breakfast and the safe in our room not working, it was a great stay!

Stop over after a long flight from the UK. Excellent location not too far from airport. This has been several stay and would recommend. There are ample parking spaces. Breakfast was superb unfortunately the restaurant was not open because of renovations works but this was sent before hand In a notification.

After a long flight with the restaurant out of action we were disappointed not to be able to purchase something to eat, not even something light.

I stayed at this hotel for a week and here's my review: Breakfast was amazing - wide variety of options, tasty food and great portions (one wouldn't need to eat lunch as the breakfast portions would sustain you until dinner)! The front desk, restaurant and cleaning staff were all really friendly, helpful and accommodating - I'm especially grateful to the cleaning staff who made sure my room was clean, tidy and had a fresh set of towels and toiletries everyday. I loved the location of this hotel, close to Devon House, Bob Marley museum etc - we were there for carnival and were able to join the road march along Trafalgar road in less than 2 minutes :) I also appreciated that this hotel had secure parking - the parking bays were a little tight, but manageable if you take your time. There's also a gym in the basement, which was really useful for me (I woke up earlier than my friends and would keep myself occupied by working out whilst they were asleep).

There were a couple of mornings where the breakfast service was a little bit slow, mostly due to food options/coffee running out - otherwise, no major issues.

The room was big and comfortable. Really nice and relaxing place to be and it's surrounded by a number of fast food places/restaurants of walking distance. Breakfast was great and tasted good. Really good vibes

For dinner I ordered both Shrimp and chicken alfredo. Worst choice for dinner - it was just bland and didn't taste good. It's the worst shrimp and chicken alfredo that I have ever had.. Tasted so bad we couldn't even continue after three bites~I just wasted money on that meal.. When the waitress asked if I wanted to package it I told her No!!! The pool was not what I had expected

You come to the hotel not expecting much. But boy did this unassuming hotel exceed our expectations. Firstly it is in a very good location and especially if you need to take the bus to Montego Bay it is right around the corner. The Bob Marley museum and Devon House are a very short 5 min drive away. The rooms are very nice clean and spacious. Our room came with a fridge and microwave which was an absolute plus. The rooftop Bar 'District 5' served exceedingly delicious meals - our best in Kingston(!). For breakfast you have the option of traditional American breakfast or you can have the Chef's special which consists of a traditional Jamaican breakfast. Dinner was absolutely amazing. Dinning comes with immaculate panoramic views of the city and mountains. This hotel was not terribly expensive at all and thus it was so surprising all the amenities which came with it. Definitely a hidden gem.

This is my favorite hotel in kingston.I stay at this hotel like three times a year. it’s very clean and the staff is excellent.A big shout out to Miss Christie.❤️

The new breakfast system wasn’t working for me. The complementary breakfast doesn’t work for me because i don’t eat eggs.im accustom to my ackee and salt fish or calaloo breakfast.please look into it.

great location, easy to drive to for someone not used to Kingston traffic. clean, great breakfast with lovely views of the mountains and city, helpful staff. comfortable room. upgraded from room with balcony to room with kitchenette as it’s much more spacious and has clothes washing facilities which turned out to be useful. very close to Devon house and used Uber to do some sightseeing. secure key system to move around hotel with access to common areas and own floor.

views directly outside just a car park but it’s an inner city hotel so no problem there really
