We spent one week at the Masseria and really didn’t want to leave. It’s a true gem! The location is beautiful and the whole location is renovated thought through and with great design choices. Every staff member is just a lovely person and you can feel that they enjoy their job! Our stay was a 10/10 and we will definitely come back sometime. As a person who checks these comments a lot before booking something just some notes that may be worth it: - a car is definitely helpful If you want to go to the beach or elsewhere, the location is standalone which makes it super calm and relaxing but also a bit far from everything - yes, the roads around are wild, but that’s Sicily, you will find that anywhere here. Just drive a bit more carefully - Breakfast is served at the table, an unconventional method but it really helps to keep you relaxed! The staff will try to make every breakfast wish come true. Maybe it could be helpful to set up a menu with all the possible options to order or something like a check list where guest could choose their breakfast wishes of the day - Wasps and mosquitoes are a frequent guest, which is a good sign for great nature and there is not a lot to do about. The stuff tries their best! - The pool area is beautiful! It can be “crowded” some days but i guess that’s just the way it goes in most hotels - Kids are allowed which I appreciate as a becoming parent, even though some parents should just teach their kids a bit more “respect” for other guest who want to relax at the pool - Rooms are beautifully but semi sound proof, really depending on the person next door. If you are sensitive just pack some earplugs - Dinner in the Racina in the evening charms though again lovely staff and nice design choices. For our experience the prices where a bit too high

The peace, surrounded by nature, beautiful decor and landscape, wonderful pool area with dedicated toilet and shower, restaurant that serves good food and wine, the confortable room incl. aircon and minifridge, the kindness of the staff and especially Marco, Lauren and Giuglia. It is also well located in Menfi if you're looking to do some wine tourism, as there are many vineyards offering tastings nearby. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Masseria del Carboj, it is definitely a place to return!

To make this extraordinary place even better (if that's even possible :)) I would just make it adults-only. Nothing against children but a place like this deserves more appreciation of silence and nature to offer a truly relaxing gettaway (and very romantic one too).

Although I spend over 100 nights annually in hotels around the world, I rarely write reviews because mediocrity isn't worth the time it takes to write them. And honestly, who really cares if a hotel gets 6, 7, or 8 points? Therefore, this review is exceptional for me and written for an exceptional place, which fully deserves a 10 point rating. The hotel itself is designed with an eye for detail and maintained in absolutely perfect condition. It has a clean pool, stunning views of the sea and surrounding vineyards, and a charming park-style garden that features hammocks, lanterns, a fig tree, and much more. During the day, it is wonderfully peaceful given the hotel has only 15 rooms, and when night falls, the outside seating area of the restaurant becomes magical with its candles and lanterns. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the quality of its staff. The manager, Marco, being fantastic himself, has brought together an excellent team that speaks very good English and is unfailingly courteous, making everything possible for their guests. I would like to illustrate their consistently outstanding service with three examples: - Upon arrival, we were approached and welcomed already at the parking lot, then brought to a comfortable lounge area and treated to a welcome drink (a glass of wine made from grapes grown in their own vineyard), while check-in procedures were smoothly handled in the background. Afterwards, we were guided to our room, where our luggage was already waiting. - A couple next to us asked for a parasol for the beach one morning at breakfast, so we asked as well. Unfortunately, the one handed to the couple was the last available. However, within an hour, the staff had organised an additional parasol from a shop in the village for us. - One night, we returned very late at 22:30 from the Stairs of the Turks, with the restaurant due to close in about 30 minutes.

Beautiful getaway to spend a few relaxing days in the most beautiful environment with food of the highest quality and standard. Marco, Roxana and their team made us feel like we are family. Their personalities add this extra something that you will not get a in any 5-star hotel. Marco even tried to arrange a short notice wine tasting on a Sunday - and then offered to do it themselves as none of the official ones were available which was absolutely top! Grazie mille Marco, Roxana and team for making our stay unforgettable and instantly make us fall in love with Sicily, the local cuisine and of course the fantastic wine from the vineyards around the premises. We had the best time staying here. The rooms were beautifully decorated, spotless and had excellent air conditioning. The grounds and the pool was perfect - we spent a few days just dipping in and out! But most of all the hospitality was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and we felt so well looked after, everything we asked for was never any trouble and we felt so welcome. The food at the restaurant was amazing, and the breakfasts were just brilliant.

There really wasn't anything!

The staff were extremely welcoming and breakfast was lovely. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the pool was nice.

Didn't enjoy the restaurant for dinner. The staff was nice and their wine is delicious but the food just doesn't really go with the setting - tries to be too fancy but doesn't quite suceed. I'd recommend simplying their menu and I think it would be more successful. There's really no where else to eat in the area within 30 minutes so it would have improved our stay if we could have enjoyed the food more.

First of all, a huge thank you to you, Marco, and your team. You made our stay unforgettable. You welcomed us in the car park, then invited us for an aperitif and advised us throughout our stay. I have travelled a lot around the world, but I have rarely experienced such a warm and generous host. You put your heart and soul into looking after your guests and your team is also very motivated and gives its best. It was simply the most beautiful hotel and also the best experience with you: The location is beautiful, idyllic in the countryside and the atmosphere is fantastic. I am still blown away, even though our stay was a month ago. I would advise anyone visiting Sicily to spend at least one - or even better, several - nights at Marco's and have dinner there too - it's unbelievably good! You will never forget your stay.

The hotel is situated on a hill and offers a wonderful view of the countryside and the sea. We stayed in the suite and were able to enjoy the characterful and beautiful historic rooms. There is a highly recommended restaurant in the hotel with Sicilian cuisine. The atmosphere (in October) was very quiet and relaxing, and the staff's friendliness was particularly pleasant.

The immediate area was a bit off-putting outside the tourist season due to the predominance of closed shops and empty places. However, if you are prepared for this in advance, you can simply spend a good time at the pool in the hotel or go on longer excursions

The property, swimmingpool, room, restaurant, food and drinks were all amazing! But what made our stay unforgettable was the great service of Marco and his team, who paid attention to every detail to make our stay amazing. We will Definitely come back!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at the Masseria. The facility is beautiful, very well maintained and laid out with great attention to detail and with lots of little cozy corners to sit in. The surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful and the view of the sea is amazing. The food in the restaurant and the wine and olive oil from the Masseria were excellent, as well as the breakfast and the drinks by the pool. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly and we felt very comfortable and very well looked after at all times. I can only recommend a stay here and would come back at any time!
