We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Villas Mercedes. Situated on a quaint local street, the location offers convenient access to La Madera Beach. While not in the center, the street is bustling with restaurants and bars, providing a perfect escape from the daily crowds. The pool area is charming, and the yard offers a peaceful retreat. Whether unwinding by the pool or exploring nearby attractions, there's plenty to enjoy. The staff were exceptional—warm, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel's proximity to a taxi station and minibusses made transportation effortless. Throughout our six-day stay, we encountered nothing but positive experiences and good vibes. Highly recommended!

On afternoon I was sitting on my balcony over the street, watching all the happy families straggling back and forth to the beach, almost no cars, the flags fluttering up and down the street, the warmth and light and life of old Mexico, and I thought "this may be as close to Heaven as I ever get". Everything was perfect, small, unpretentious, cheap, warm, friendly, lovely street scene, many good restaurants within a few steps, the lovely beach around the corner, I could smoke my Mexican cigar and just be. And if I got a little warm walking around town, jump in the beautiful cool clear pool. I was so happy there!

The location is in one of the best locations while not being on the beach . Excellent restaurants along the quiet one lane street. 3 minute walk to one of the 4 beaches in ZIH Taxi stand next to the hotel. Pharmacy on the corner. 8 minute walk to downtown 10 minute walk to major grocery store. 3 minute walk to the central open air market which also has a wide variety of inexpensive clothing stores…Medical Clinics.

The location was excellent, it was so close to the markets and beaches and an Oxxo for supplies. Taxi station is just around the corner with is very convenient. The room was lovely and clean, simple. Everything was clean, check in was easy. SUCH a delightful stay and would recommend - excellent value!

There is some vehicles that rumble through in the evening but it's to be expected for the location. Couldn't work out how to get the air con to the perfect setting but we were grateful to have it!

Location is excellent on a lovely street with great restaurants. Property is very nice, clean and the friendly guests we met were mostly repeat long term guests which says a lot. Nicely appointed kitchenette. Would stay here again and would recommend to friends.

We stayed for two nights in room 9 which is on street side. The first night was very noisy and difficult to sleep however 2nd night, a Sunday, was perfectly quiet. Consider bringing ear plugs just in case and eye mask if you prefer a dark room.

The location was excellent, close to everything, both town & beach, and in a great neighborhood. I loved the kichenette & balcony and felt secure with barred patio doors and front door of Hotel.

The lady who checked us in didn't speak much English, and that's not a negative at all, but check-in instructions provided all together in English would have been great, such as wifi password, pool hours or food & drink rules around pool, frequency of housekeeping, etc.. Also, not sure if the fridge stayed on whenever we left because the room's power went out when the key card was removed but defeats the purpose of having the fridge.

Loved the location and the staff. The pool was perfect and the grounds immaculate.

Our room was small. We had #1 and it was tight quarters. We had to purchase 2 small plates, 2 forks and a knife to cut out fruit that we purchased. We left these in the room for the next guest.

Excellent location, close to many restaurants, bars, shops of all kind. Madera and Principal Beaches are both a short walk away. La Ropa Beach is a 3 or 4 minute drive by taxi or collectivo. Room 6 is the best location within the hotel (I think) overlooking the pool and on the quiet side of the building. There is a major construction project going on about 4 blocks away so the rooms facing Calle Adelita are pretty noisy during the day as dump trucks and excavating equipment pass by. But evenings are generally pretty quiet. Staff were very attentive. The kitchen has everything one needs to cook a simple meal.

WiFi was spotty in the evenings, not sure if it was because there was more use in the evenings over the Christmas and New Years period or an issue with the provider ??

The location was great 200m from the beach, the room was large and well laid out. Loved the balcony!!

It could be a bit noisy due to people in various stages of inebriation walking by, and dogs barking - but that didn't bother me. Part of the experience.

Everything was perfect. Close to the beach, restaurants, taxis and stores. Personal at the hotel great! Very clean.

The room can use a bigger TV
