Location, location is excellent. It's walking distance from city center, shopping and restaurants. I enjoyed the hotel, it was relaxing and the beach in La Madera was clean and not crowded. The personnel was phenomenal, Abel the bartender was great.

Fabulous location and wonderful staff who give great service. The beauty and ambience (aura!) of the property. The beach is terrific. We loved staying here, but it needs some work to maintain its high ratings.

It needs maintenance and upgrading. There’s a lot of things beginning to fall apart. Outlets that are loose and only work sometimes ( actually got a shock from one), loose faucets, no hot water when everyone else in the hotel has already showered at the end of the day. Very uncomfortable pillows.

Wow ! This hotel is really something special! Absolutely everyone goes out of their way to give you the best experience! The rooms are massive, the bed is like sleeping in a cloud, the pillows too… the property is beautiful and so so well kept ! Everything is spotlessly clean and comfortable, the Wi-Fi is fast and even when there is bad weather or a storm the Wi-Fi was perfect! There are turtles and parrots there too and the parrot actually waved goodbye to us on our last day !! The location is the best in zihaut , it was our first time in zihaut didn’t know really where is the best area to stay in but I can tell you now it’s right here ! Directly on the beach, 7 min walk into town where you can find really authentic and quality restaurants! There are lots of English channels on the tv, fresh bottled water every day, excellent aircon, amazing views The ladies that do the housekeeping, they don’t leave a stone unturned and the room was always pristine every day for us ! I can’t speak highly enough about this hotel and the staff that work there ! Thank ye all for working so hard to make our time there so perfect and enjoyable! We will definitely be back

Nothing not to love!! This place is amazing

I booked a trip to Zihuatanejo with my two daughters (5 and 8 years old) at the very last minute (5 days prior) after learning their school-run spring break camp was already full (duh), so I really knew very little going in and had no expectations - but I could not have been happier with where we landed. This was SUCH a wonderful hotel in such a fantastic location, it crossed all the boxes for what we were looking for in a trip and then some! The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful, right on the beach with an awesome pool (built-in slide, over-the-water hammocks, in-pool lounge chairs, etc)- the staff were all incredibly lovely and accommodating, helping us with everything from booking excursions (turtle hatching is highly encouraged!), recommending family-friendly dinner spots, finding us another similar (arguably even better?) room to move into so we could extend our stay several days, and even allowing us a place to store our luggage and have a last-minute shower on our final day there, we honestly couldn't have asked for more. My kids were especially enamored with the talking parrots (we, too, have a parrot) as well as discovering the adorable little animal/nature scenes the housekeeping staff created on the beds using flower petals and towels whenever they tidied -it was just the sweetest! I've already encouraged friends to book with them and look forward to returning, myself, again, and again, and again....thank you aura del mar!

liked the beauty and charm. Properly kept up. Sweet service from all. Connected restaurant, the beautiful Bistro del Mar, was not inexpensive nut a value for us and we often choose it during our week; great food/fine service/view. We did not purchase the breakfast package, as we preferred to order from the full breakfast menu, which had amazing choices. Hotel has an extremely pleasant area on the beach. We sat under lapa lapas, and had lunch/drinks with our feet in the sand, walking a few steps to take a dip in the ocean. Beach; dreamy. No competition for nice seats at beach or the sweet/smallish pool area, with separate shaded area. Servers all professionals. Sweet touches at every meal. Plenty of steps and handsome handrails. Taxi situation easy and fee's inexpensive/clear.

At dinner, I really really enjoyed the background music in the Bistro del Mar restaurant as it was often jazz. The live music was less enjoyable, as the view was the star. as well as the food..and live music seemed a distraction rather than a plus. Hubby liked both. There is so little not to like...

Beautiful property in the heart of Zihuatanejo, with exuberant gardens, nice pool and access to beach. Our room with lovely terrace (views to the beach, sun beds and an hamaca!!). Wonderful vibes of a small and quaint hotel, but with walking access to the community and many dining options. Restaurant delicious, both for breakfast and dinner. Service phenomenal, friendly and helpful. Reserved tour to see whales and snorkeling, and relaxing massages in spa.

Everything was great!

The view from our room was my favorite! All the balconies are covered so you can enjoy the outside without being on the sun. A surprise was a large private jacuzzi on the balcony, I didn’t need to go to pool which was 3 floors down the stairs. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I felt safe and secure. The rooms were very clean, no bugs. Overall it was a good experience.

Like most properties, there are no elevators so it is difficult to navigate the property when you use a cane.

Loved the pool, and the ocean beach at the hotel. Great view of the ocean! Picturesque! Loved that they had drinking water available, both in the room and as well, to fill up your water bottles. Very comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again!

Minor things, that could be improved upon, was, small amount of ants the first day in the bathroom. As well, there could be a make up mirror in the bathroom. Overall though, great amenities!

This beautiful property is set above a gorgeous beach within a short walk of downtown. The grounds and pool are well maintained, the rooms are comfortable, the staff is friendly and hard-working, and the on-site restaurant was fantastic for both breakfast and dinner.

To explore the property and access the beach/restaurant, you must be able to navigate a lot of stairs. This wasn't an issue for me, but it could be for an elderly person or someone with mobility issues.

I like the style of this hotel. Well laid out and very authentic Mexico without the pretension. And good facilities that were clean, kept up and functioning

The lack of communication with cleaning staff. I left a few objects in the room after I left. I was in town, so I contacted next day and the items were not found. Which would be impossible as the 3 items were clothing items and was definitely left in the room. It is too bad, but it makes me question the integrity of the cleaning staff. Be aware and make sure you use the safe as I don't think the cleaning people can be trusted. It is too bad as the hotel and its location is very nice overall.
