Perfect location. Great view. Modern and clean

The only issue we had was a lack of hot water in the bathroom. Had to forget about having a decent hot shower. A VERY quick warm’ish? one with almost no water pressure is what’s happening. When we raised it with the staff they simply said our room wouldn’t be different to anyone else’s, and no one else had complained. I let it go because everything else was great but I think they should really do something about it. Or at least could have come up to look themselves. I think they would have seen it really was a an issue. We were checking out the next day so didn’t bother asking for a different room.

Fantastic location with beautiful views of the bay of Callela. Rooms were small but well appointed. New shower, but the bed and funiture was a little dated. Restaurant was very good, good breakfasts, had a number of afternoon tapas meals and ate in the main restaurant. Excellent food. Parking was OK for us we managed to get spaces outside the hotel. Imagine it would be challenging in peak season.

Rooms need updating and were a little small

Great location. Quiet room with good shower, reasonable size. We knew about the location and room, but the hotel exceeded expectations in its service (everybody proactive and efficient, plus a smile, quite better than some comments). Great breakfast, quite complete, and the hotel was clean, with everything working to our entire satisfaction. We had dinner twice. Good service, food ok, the view is amazing!! We loved our stay, we will try to come back!

The location is fabulous: the terrace has amazing views and the hotel is close to little beaches, a coastal path, botanical gardens and the lovely town. We really appreciated being able to borrow a deck chair and parasol for our mother (in her 90s). Our meals were delicious and service friendly. The hotel is simply and very tastefully decorated. We valued the incredible attention to detail.

Nothing really. It was a little hard to park, but we didn’t mind having to walk a bit.

This was the second time in sant roc to celebrate our memories dated 15 years ago when we had a wonderful experience with this hotel. The hotel is still beautiful in particular the outdoor breakfast/dinner area has great views. The breakfast is pretty good, with a good variety of options. The location is perfect.

This time we felt more like a number, both at the reception, and at dinner/breakfast, which was a bit disappointing not only because this hotel has special memories for us, but also because we paid over 500 euro for 2 nights including 1 dinner. The room was not very comfortable and needs quite some renovation. The sea views were nice though we did not dare to sit on the small french balcony, having noticed the hotel is hardly investing in maintenance. The dinner was nothing special, though reasonably priced. Too bad the fin de estiu event was cancelled last minute (due to the incorrect weather forecast or street party?), next time we wont’t plan for this anymore.

We loved the location — just a short walk to both the town and the beautiful beaches. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and enjoying it with a sea view made it even more special.

It would have been a nice touch if hotel guests received a small discount when dining at the hotel’s restaurant in the evening

We had discovered and stayed in this hotel in 1989 and it was a pleasure to return. The location was fantastic, on a rocky cliff, with views of the cute town and harbor from the restaurant-bar-breakfast area (which has both indoor and outdoor seating). Rooms facing the water had cliff-top views of the beautiful ocean (but not of the town and beach). Most of these rooms had balconies (1 table 2 chairs) with separation walls to provide privacy. Unfortunately our room was VERY small (see critical comments below). The hotel was a 3-minute scenic walk from the town, with coastal walking trails going all the way to the next town of Llafranc, or toward the Cape Roig Botanic Garden. The restaurant-bar (again with nice views) had a simple but tasty buffet breakfast and tapas available in the afternoon. We ate dinner in town, so no comments on food served at supper. My wife drinks lots of sparkling water, and she loved the bar's free-use Soda Stream. Parking was available right in front, or at the adjacent park. The female owner was a delight, telling us how her grandfather had built the hotel and it had been in the family 3 generations. This made up for the grumpy male desk clerk who checked us in.

The only negative about our stay was our VERY small room (#201) which reduced my rating in the "value for money" category. While I loved the hotel location and common areas, the room was so small that my wife felt claustrophobic and spent ZERO time there except to sleep. There was a small balcony, but we were hemmed in on all sides so that also seemed very small. While I might stay there again, I would more carefully look at the room size when I booked.

The building itself is beautiful, the location is great and we had a corner room with a very nice sea view. Fresh water supply also great.

The strong smell of cleaning products, and the tiny corridors felt a bit claustrophobic, the stairs are not so safe - slippery and abrupt, the noise in the morning from the busy breakfast area.

The location, friendly atmosphere. We have been coming every year for 19 years and it never fails. Even if we are not lucky enough to get a room we always have drinks or dinner on the amazing terrace.

I would prefer a walk in shower rather than a bath with a shower. Its a bit small to move around. The rooms have had a nice renovation but still keep the feel of the original building. The price of rooms in general in the town have really increased over the years. I guess people will pay as it's a beautiful place. See you soon!

The location of this hotel is perfect. The views are difficult to top. We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed drinks during the day overlooking the sea. The staff assisted with arranging a car service for us to and from Barcelona. We will definitely return.
