This is the perfect spot to enjoy all that Whidbey Island offers. It is just minutes from the Clinton-Mukilteo ferry and in the heart of downtown Langley. This was my second stay at Saratoga Inn, and it was just as amazing as the first time. The hosts are so welcoming that you feel like instant friends. The full breakfast each morning is spectacular. It starts with a slice of coffee cake (one day, it had huckleberries, amazing!) and then an egg dish with potatoes and fruit. All of it was delicious and perfectly portioned. I ate every bite. They also provide water, coffee, tea, fresh fruit, and sweets, available around the clock. My room faced the back of the property, but I enjoyed its spaciousness. It has A/C and a gas fireplace, so you can't go wrong no matter what weather rolls in. The bed was comfy. I usually do not sleep well in hotels; this place is the exception. It is within walking distance of all the restaurants and shops in downtown Langley. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe walking back each night. There is also plenty of parking and an EV hook-up. It was so nice to have such a welcoming and comfortable place to relax after a day of exploring the island.

October 2023

My wife and I stayed at the Saratoga Inn for 3 nights last week (October 9-12, 2023) on our first visit to Whidbey Island. We were so happy with our stay here -- we liked everything about it. The staff is very nice and helpful. We arrived before check-in time but they got our room ready early for us and we were given a personal tour of the room and facilities. We stayed in room #5 which is on the first floor and at the end of the hall with windows on two sides. The room is very comfortable with extra chairs for sitting, an amazing gas fireplace, and a nice-sized bathroom. The bed was very comfortable with power plugs and lights on both sides. The well-thought-out window blinds were closed by pulling up from the bottom to give us some privacy without blocking all the light. All this was good but the breakfast was amazing. Not a huge selection but it was all homemade (including pastries) and the selection was different every morning. They also offered some pastries and wine at 4 pm 'tea' time which was a special time for us. The eating area was in the front room which has views towards Puget Sound across the street. The location is just at the end of the Langley business district so we enjoyed walking through town in the mornings and evenings. Parking was plentiful and they have e-car charging for Teslas and other models (but we had a gas car so didn't use it).

It's hard to say what we didn't like. We visited in off season (October), so many of the shops and restaurants had reduced hours or were only open on certain days of the week. It didn't bother us and it gave us more opportunities to walk through town again to visit places we had missed.

This hotel is exceptional! Our room had a beautiful view of Saratoga Passage and is just steps from Langley grocery and restaurants.wonderful staff, kind and helpful.they even had a plug in for our car! One more item, the breakfast is outstanding. No little cereal packets and cup of yogurt…a full meal which was served to us at a table with a tablecloth. Fantastic coffee!

Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked and tasty. The room was very spacious and had a great view. We loved the location just a block from the town and across the street from the water. The staff was very nice.

The shower was a bit old and the tile grout was somewhat molded, but otherwise the room was excellent.

We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of the breakfasts. They were worth delaying the start of our day. Normally we would be on the road before 8 o'clock but we were more than happy to wait for the delicious fare and friendly banter. Also, the room was exceptionally quiet and comfortable which is very important to us.

First, an excellent location close to the "city" center. Lot's of food and shopping options. The street it's on has a low speed limit so no traffic noise. A major surprise was the quality of the breakfast buffet. Definitely not what you typically get at traditional buffets. Quality and selection was outstanding, with something different every day. Saratoga deserves a multi-day stay if you can swing it.

Love the location and cozy feel of the Saratoga Inn! Now that fall has arrived, the fireplace in each room as well as the big fireplace in the living room is such a welcoming comfort! Staff is wonderful!

The bold coffee was delicious! The breakfast, however, was disappointing. Very little in the way of fruit, and the entree was unappealing to me. We did stop at Sea Biscuit Bakery near Langley for fresh pastries! We will return to the Saratoga Inn!

Delicious breakfast Due to a complication with the ferry system we were unable to make it to the hotel for the first night of our stay. The host at the hotel graciously removed the entire charge for that night from our bill-much appreciated!

The team there was amazing! I loved chatting with them and they were never intrusive or asked for anything at all - what a great team! I was solo and never made to feel unwelcome - they were so considerate and beyond kind.

This is a gem of an inn. Staff were wonderful! We enjoyed a delicious breakfast, happy hour treats, and a comfortable spacious room with a bit of a view of the water. The location is excellent.

We weren't able to extend our stay because they were booked out.
