Our stay in Casa Bodega del Marquez has been very cozy, chill and comfortable. Despite the hot weather during our stay, the place is fully airconditioned and the overall vibe felt like a cozy old Spanish bodega vibe. And Lorena has been very accommodating since the time we arrived. She's like a mother to us, serving us breakfast and making sure our needs are attended to, including our need for a taxi on our last day. She arranged it so well and on time. We couldn't ask for more for the price we have paid. We highly recommend Casa Bodega del Marquez.

Tucked away down a side street, within easy walking distance of central Jerez, staying here was like travelling back in time to mid 1800s Spain. The antithesis of a bland, corporate, modern, minimalist hotel: think eccentricity, stuffed bulls' heads, sherry barrels, beams, lots of objects of interest, and a warm family welcome. The family make their own sherry, which tasted delicious, and I think are involved in other tourist-related activities. We were offered a home-cooked paella-centred Spanish feast of many courses, with sherry/wine for €75 per head, which I'm sure would have been an evening to remember. Lovely freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast. We also enjoyed sitting out on the terrace just outside our room.

There was a leak in our bathroom, but they didn't know about that until we left, so they didn't have a chance to fix it until after that.

Very authentic hotel where one feels very welcomed, nearly like staying with family! The lovely lady who runs the hotel speaks little English but with the help of Google translate we made it work. We stayed in the blue room which was exactly like in the photos. We were very happy that there was a proper light weight down duvet and not just the standard sheet. For breakfast there was everything that one might need, the lady made us an omelette and brought fresh orange juice. The location is good only a short walk to the town centre. With a little luck one might be able to park right in front of the hotel. We wish we could have stayed longer!

What an amazing property and host. Upon arriving driving through some backstreets we were a little dubious, don’t let that put you off. From the moment we stepped through the door to the moment we left we were greeted with the most beautiful property and the most welcoming and warming host. The hotel is just a couple of minutes walk from the main pedestrian walking straight in Jerez. The property itself is very clean, comfortable and quiet and is an amazing building.

Nothing, everything was perfect

Great host. Showed us around this magnificent historic property which included a cellar, small chapel and other special rooms. She also gave up her parking space to us, so we could park in front of the property!

OK for us, but the property is not very central, though in town.

The unique style of the place was complimented by Leonor, the hostess who is friendly, chatty, and provides a wholesome breakfast. She was very helpful with our Spanish! The house is very quiet, so you have a wonderful sleep, and it has a great location for visiting Jerez, 10 - 15 minutes walk to most things. A parking space was provided outside the main door.

Not much really.

Very different from your normal hotel, we felt like we were guest in someone's home. We had a huge patio off our room, breakfast great, coffee was available any time of the day. We took a paella cooking class at the hotel along with a great tasting of three different sherry's. Short 10 min. walk to downtown.

Location was difficult to find and parking was in a parking garage.

Totally unique experience. The hotel is like an 18/19th century hall,the rooms are very decorative but tasteful and comfortable. We had the terrace, which was a lovely, relaxing space. As for our hostess, she treated us like her relatives, so friendly and welcoming. We shall be going back!

The Palacio has an old-world charm - every piece of furniture, every decoration and piece of crockery is picked to create and enhance this most individualistic effect. The proprietress Leonora and her daughter Maria made us feel most welcome. We took part in her cooking workshop, which was a truly wonderful experience. I can highly recommend this place.

We loved the welcome we received on arrival at the hotel. In the heart of Jerez. Absolutely fascinating building with great history and their own well. Breakfast included brilliant and you can use the hot drinks facilities 24/7 in the main dining room. The room was great with large bed and huge en suite. Definitely go back again. They have a car parking space but we had a motorcycle so it fitted in with the car.

I can honestly say that there's nothing I didn't like which is unusual for me.
