Location was amazing, the rooms were very nice and staff was very friendly.

We were a little disappointed that the jets in the hot tub were not working, but that is minor thing. We also tried to eat at a restaurant downstairs but we have a small child with us and we brought snacks for her because she won’t eat any of the food there and we were advised we cannot bring it. So we end up getting in the car to eat somewhere else. I understand the policy but for small children I think there should be exception. But that is nothing against the hotel that’s just restaurant policy that made us have to get ready and leave to eat somewhere else instead of trying the place within the hotel.

Everything was easily accessible. From the parking garage, it was only a short walk to the elevator and then directly to our floor. The room was very clean and spacious, and featured very nice amenities--easy charging of devices and a kitchenette.

I am always annoyed that the actual price of a stay--the one that includes all resort fees, taxes, etc. is not prominently featured in the advertising. The price I ended up paying was about $100 per night more than the advertised room rate.

The Westin Monache has been our family favorite since we discovered it. We visit often. It only gets better every time we visit. Our suite was beautiful, spacious, recently renovated and it brought the outdoors and beauty of the forest in. We had a commanding view of the mountains and a majestic pine just outside our room. The staff is genuinely friendly. I can tell that they take pride in what they do; from the outside staff to the reception. In addition, they go out of their way to help. I can’t say enough about the resort: it’s beautiful, clean and close to all that Mammoth has to offer. Best of all, it’s steps away from the village where you can grab a bite, listen to music or hang out and relax after a day of hiking. We love this place and plan to return soon!

We loved everything.

We had booked an one bedroom suite and we were upgraded to a two bedroom suite, which was really spacious and comfortable. As we arrived late and there are no late dinning options around we appreciated the kitchen amenities as we bought food from a nearby supermarket. There was free parking under the hotel. We enjoyed our morning swim at the heated outside pool. The bar seemed lively and nice at the time we arrived, although we hadn't the time to visit it.

There is a large construction site right next to the property, obviously replacing the preexisting forest at the space. This downgrades the surroundings. It also affects the pool area image. The room had a modern look but rather impersonal.

Room was great, spacious studio with king bed and sofa pull out, chair and coffee table, very clean upon arrival. Kitchen fully stocked with everything you need to prepare food and cook, bed was super comfortable. Spacious refrigerator, which was available for our use and not prefilled with refreshments they want you to purchase. Freezer section actually froze my blue ice packs for our return trip home. Front desk staff exceptional- so friendly and helpful. Restaurant was excellent, enjoyed several nice meals and complimentary Starbucks coffee in the lobby each morning. Elevator was close to room, a dog friendly hotel, appreciated the relief areas close to hotel entrance and parking, with poo bags and trash receptacle, very convenient for dog walking early and late. Parking was underground and secure. Enjoyed our stay!

Seems like the hotel is right across the street from the Village with restaurants/shopping areas, however it’s situated on a hillside and you must climb many steps to get from hotel to Village, or drive, or request a shuttle from the hotel.

Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Wireless and TV were great. Very quiet and on the shady side so didn't have to run the HVAC very much, didn't care about the lack of a view since we have been to Mammoth many times.

Not a dislike but the array of fees etc. is mind boggling.

Location close to the slopes

In the room, it’s only one king size bed with a sofa bed. If you’re traveling with a friend, it would be nice to have two queen size bed instead of a sofa bed, which is very hard to sleep. After you get up from that sofa bed your body it’s very sore Even if you are a member of Marriott, Bon boy, you still don’t get any privileges at your property

The area is absolutely gorgeous. Valet/Bellman were extremely welcoming and helpful even if we parked our own car. Check in was effortless, the glass of bubbly was a nice touch. We only stayed one night and had a beautiful room that was extremely comfortable. The kitchenette was clean and nicely stocked. Because we traveled with our pup we couldn't really dine there but we took a stroll down to the village and had a fabulous dinner.

Gorgeous hotel, very high class. Room was very nice with couch, fireplace, fully stocked kitchen, sitting window. Located perfectly across from The Village. Beds were very comfortable. Luxury hotel!

Cost of breakfast room service advertised on menu is not what you are charged. The cost was double what was advertised and signed for by me at time of delivery.
