I have stayed at Ventura Grand prior and knew there would be a mini-fridge and microwave, which are essential to our plans. The room was spacious, sufficient towels, and a good floor plan to accommodate privacy. There are some breakfast items in the lobby in the morning, and there's usually a kettle to prepare hot water for their provided coffee and hot chocolate. It's centrally located, and we were able to easily walk to the Lakes Basin Trolley in order to get to the trailhead.

Perhaps more shampoo and conditioner, please.

Room was very quiet, not sure if we even had neighbours. Motel offered breakfast of a sort despite not mentioning that on their listing. It was a mixed bag of offerings (sweets, bagels, ramen, coffee..) but most welcome. Friendly staff, excellent location.

Ice machine broken, whole place a little run down and needing TLC but clearly being improved by current owners. Prices were best value in Mammoth but that still doesn't mean cheap.

A terrible rain storm drove backpackers and hikers off the trails, including me and one other in my backpacking party. I started looking for a room and found almost none available. I luckily got 2 rooms, a king for me and a queen for my hiking partner. The beds were *awesome*, there was a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. This is a family-run property, and the staff was absolutely outstanding! The lobby was full of people hoping to get, or share, a room, and the clerk was so kind and patient with each guest. No breakfast was advertised, but there were hard-boiled eggs, Ramen, hot chocolate, oatmeal packets, bread, and some granola bars, along with a toaster, hot water pot, and utensils - all available in the lobby. This property has "family rooms" with 2 queen beds and a bunk bed in one room - perfect for sharing!

I had a lovely stay here. Lodging in Mammoth could be super expensive and terrible and this motel was right at the good spot! The room was big and clean, nice view, and even a desk to do a bit a work after skiing. It's 10 min away from the Mill so it's easy to go skiing in the morning. The breakfast was minimal and to go but does the work for me (eggs, cereals, coffee and other things). Since I stayed in June I can't speak for the coldness in winter but it was perfect for now. I will definitively come back.

Only minor thing, the hot tub/pool are in maintenance and not functional. That would have been a plus!

Yes, this is an older motel, but the rooms are huge, the bed and pillows were comfortable, everything was clean, they accepted pets, and the staff was super friendly and helpful--we will definitely plan to stay here again!

Convenient and friendly staff. Stayed with my senior Labrador for a weekend of fly fishing and even accommodated to change my room from the second floor to the first due to my dog not being able to walk up the stairs. My fault should of request a first floor room. Will stay again and planning on it for the filling month also.

We had a very late arrival and the staff was in touch with me to let me know where they would leave the room key. The bed was comfortable but the room was dated. Noticed they were doing updates but well done. The AC was extremely noisy. But again I noticed they were replacing some. Very nice staff and they are trying very hard to make it work.

Nice , quiet and spacious room, very friendly staff. Even though breakfast was not listed as an offer, there was excellent coffee, tea, bread, jams, eggs at the office in the morning. The room has a fridge and microwave, coffee maker in the room. I know where I am going to stay when I am in Mammoth next time. Look no further than Ventura Grand Hotel. It is also very conveniently located in the downtown, next to the shops and restaurants.

There look not new, but clean. We stayed in two queen beds room, one bed is harder than another. Good location, near shuttle bus stop. Staff very nice and friendly. I think good value compare others. We will come back .

Great location ten mins walk from the village gondola to the canyon lodge. Close to the bus stops to go everywhere else. Lovely friendly staff - nice that they had breakfast included and mountain snacks.

Our first room was a bit cold - had to ask for extra blankets. The second room we had was much warmer.
