Very clean and crisp linen and towels. Room layout worked for me with the suitcase stand and the valet piece with hangers in lieu of a closet — kept my things organized and didn’t lose anything.

I remember a reviewer mentioning the same issue I had. I didn’t think it was such a big deal until I experienced it myself: the heat was either on or off. There was no thermostat setting. Never got to sleep through a night because of turning the heat off when it got too hot, then getting up to turn it back on when it got cold. It’s a deal breaker in sub freezing temperatures. I won’t be back.

The employees were really nice, as I head a injury I needed to cool my leg regularly so they changed the room to a closer one to the ice machine. The room was clean and spacious and had everything you need. Just down to the street is a Trolley station and over street is the Laundromat, some nice restaurants and a bakery. For PCT Hikers there is also a hiker box in the office.

The room and location exceeded my expectations for that of a budget-friendly motel. We will definitely stay again.

The only issue I had was that booking.com did not seem to communicate with the Motel correctly. I booked a two-night stay through booking.com and then the motel only showed one. Thankfully, they had an available room to acomomdate us for two nights.

Transactions are easy and staff are accommodating

Our first night was weird, the electric shut off twice for hours then it went back in the middle of the night then of again for less than an hour. We didn’t complain about it thought.

Clean and comfortable, friendly staff. Teeny tiny rooms did have some extra storage built in under beds.

What’s up with the air-temp hot water? Its not fun to come out of the shower shivering. The thermostat was ancient and didn’t really work. Rooms were tiny and there was no fridge (there was no microwave or coffee maker either, but these were provided in the office). The price for these rooms didn’t really make sense considering all of this, even though the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Mammoth Lakes Motel 6 manager Dennis was fantastic. When we arrived, the motel was having a bad day because one of the cable TV lines to an entire block of rooms had stopped working (not Motel 6's fault, just one of those fluke things); and on top of that their digital check-in system was not working correctly (again just a technical fluke, not the accommodation's fault). This affected my reservation in that I couldn't be checked into a premium room that I had booked (premium rooms come with kitchen facilities that are invaluable when travelling with children). Dennis tried to get the digital system to work, then he called booking.com twice to see if they could find me alternative accommodation of a similar standard. (The first time the call was cut off, the second time booking.com reached the conclusion that they were unable to help me.) After that, Dennis got creative and worked with his team to convert one of the standard rooms into a premium room by adding the kitchen facilities I needed. He then also gave me a voucher for a future complimentary night's stay. So not only did Dennis manage to fulfill my original booking, he then gave me something awesome on top of it! I couldn't be happier with how he resolved the situation. The room itself was great: spotlessly clean, warm, piping hot water, everything worked, and very comfortable beds with super soft pillows.

floor was a bit gritty and sandy (not the housekeeper's issue; the property needs to provide the housekeeper with properly functioning vacuum cleaner to do the job) hair dryer was broken Airconditioning control didn't seem to be working

Location is great , access to many restaurants, tackle and snow places, bike rental off 395. Great TV channels, good coffee in lobby.

The beds are extremely uncomfortable, as if they do not check them. No drawers for clothes. They can’t always clean your room because they may be short staffed .

Friendly and helpful reception staff, rooms are small but exceptionally well designed and appointed, clean room and comfortable beds, good location between downtown and recreational activities

Price is steep for a Motel 6, but still the best deal in Mammoth. No shampoo or moisturizer, but they have to cut somewhere. Cooling & heating was a guessing game with the thermostat that didn't have specific temperatures. Walls are thin.

Due to circumstances no breakfast however the coffee was excellent & available every morning.

The newly renovated room was so perfect for us including our pet. The location has grass for the pets & pet poop bags are included. During the time we were there the ladies in the front were more than helpful & always pleasant. Special recognition to; Tania, Mim & Mayra. These ladies ALWAYS went above & beyond EVERY DAY
