I had such a great stay at Living Roof Shillong! The location is perfect, close to all the main spots, but still really quiet and relaxing. The staff were super friendly and most importantly the owner Mr. Ankit and Mrs. Tamanna they were so good that they even went out to get some local wines for us, out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I could ask for, like a comfy bed, nice toiletries, and a coffee maker and even made sure for our safety and travelling, while returning.

Nothing it was perfect.

It is located at the top and the view from the room was superb more so at Sunset! Mr Ashok the Manager was very helpful and took special care of us during the duration of our stay got us Packed Breakfast at early morning hours which made it very easy for us to be on our way early!

Early morning Traffic jams due to the proximity of Schools and Colleges!

The hotel was lovely, and the staff offered help whenever I needed it. In fact, they went above and beyond. When a cab I needed to take to the airport at 1:30 AM didn't show up, the owner took me on the three-hour drive in his own car.

The hotel can be a bit hard to find (but the staff will assist you).

Overall living roof was an awesome experience..the food was good, rooms were clean and staff were really good..However the night before we left , there were group of people who stayed opposite to us were poorly behaved...they were probably drinking and talking loudly, and since we were just staying opposite to them, it was clearly audible..i waited till 1 a.m thinking they might stop it by then, but no, guess they were planning to stay whole night..i confronted them and asked them politely if they could lower their voice ..but it went on till 3 a.m and i couldn't , infact i didnot get to sleep the whole night..moreover they had a fight and someone broke someone's nose, they had to rush to a hospital.. If you could look into all this and maybe not allow late night partying and stuff according to situation, it will be really helpful..Thank you

Had the most pleasant experience at this tastefully done hotel. The food was amazing especially the cutlet and the pizza . The property is small with just seven rooms and that adds to the charm of the place. The owners and staff are very helpful and friendly. The cherry on top is that the property is pet friendly with a resident dog - such a loveable girl, Lassi! She made our stay EXTRA warm and fun. Would love to visit and stay again!

Really nice rooms, super clean, comfortable bed and a working clean warm shower. You get two mugs with a free water bottle and a boiler + tea to make some if you’d like. The staff is really welcoming and listening to your needs, I strongly recommend it.

If you eat there, the food price is quite high, you will be getting charged way too much compared to any other restaurant.

Location of the hotel is very nice. It is a bit away from the market, which makes it quiet but still comfortably accessible if you have a vehicle. The staff is very cooperative. The owner herself came to help about our questions regarding the travel. They are very helpful. Food is excellent. I would stay at the same hotel if I visit Shillong again.

They are not early risers if you want to start your day early.

The manager was very helpful. He arranged cabs and helped us with itenary . Very lively environment and amazing sunset view . Burgers sizzlers and shakes are superb. Loved the stay.
