The location is excellent. It's not in the centre of town but it is just a few steps to the Jianye Rd. Metro station. You can walk to restaurants and bars in the district. It's a residential district so there are local groceries, bakeries, cafes. If you want to walk or run for exercise or have children the entrance to Huweishan park is just 300 meters away. The ferry station to go to Gulangyu island is about 10 minutes walk. It's also a 10 minute walk to the Yundang Wai lakefront. The hotel lobby is very open and inviting. The room we got is at a higher floor so we got views to the park and ocean and lake. It is just the perfect size to move and lounge around. It was clean, the bed and pillows very comfortable, they had coffee and tea and a mini fridge, there is an actual walk-in closet so our luggages were in a separate area of the room. The toilet and shower was clean with all the toiletries needed. There is a bathtub that is well-positioned within the bathroom so that it didn't feel claustrophobic. Service was excellent all around. The buffet breakfast was the best in our entire trip among 4 cities/hotels. The selection may lean towards Chinese but there was English breakfast and the bread selection was very good and varied. It was such a pleasure to start the day at the breakfast restaurant. We are already planning our next trip to Xiamen and we hope to be able to stay here again. Highly recommended.

We were a group of 7 members in a family and we booked 4 rooms. We enjoyed our stay in Pan Pacific Xiamen very much. The hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of rooms , and we need to particularly mention, especially in terms of service. The rooms were huge with lots of space, twin beds, a desk and a walk in closet area where we could place our luggage and clothes. The bathrooms were well designed with space for shower as well as a separate bathtub. And lots of glass and mirrors. The breakfast was a very scrumptious spread of different kinds of food. But the best experience was with the hotel staff. They were very polite and very helpful. From the managers to the young bellhops, to the uncles who opened our car doors, we had excellent service from everyone. A couple of people warrant special mention. I sincerely do hope the hotel takes note of these excellent staff. First is Ray, the concierge captain. He was the person who gave us the most assistance, with important information on transport and sightseeing advice, and provided us with lots of assistance and various details and made our stay there extremely pleasant. Without him, we would most likely not have enjoyed ourselves so much. Maximum points to Ray. Thank you. We will stay again if only to have your special attention. It is always the human touch that we remember for a long time. Another person we would like to thank is Gary, the front desk captain. He was always very cheerful and patient, answering our many questions, and assisting us in calling restaurants for enquires. His was a pleasant face to have around the hotel. A bathroom weighing machine in the room would have been very helpful.

Had stayed different independent owner hotels or chain hotels around China but the stay with Pan pacific Xiamen this time might be the best experience of all. Not only the hardware and facilities but also the software , the crew with the hotel itself are all impressive.It’s been nice to recognize Mr. Bryant Tseng who is the front desk manager, he tries his best to figure out my question and solve smoothly , of course he is doing nice to upgrade me even I never mentioned in advance or implied anything. The hostility of hotel staff, the cleanliness of hotel room , the convenience of hotel location , it’s really a warm and pleasant visit this time and I think Pan Pacific Xiamen may rank the top one hotel where I would like to stay next time.

I stayed in a 2BR suite. I would like to commend Ludy from housekeeping for showing outstanding service level after I gave feedback on the lapses in the cleaning of the suite. She went out of way to make sure that I was comfortable in the suite and provided all amenities and cleaning services that I needed. She also fedback to her supervisor on my comments so that the housekeeper from another shift would attend to my requests. Sam Wu from concierge was also very helpful and attentive to our queries and needs. He made sure that our transport requests to various tourist attractions were met. In particular, he also advised on top attractions and details of moving around Gulang Island ourselves. Location and facilities in hotel were quite good.

The downside of property is getting a little dated especially the bathrooms which had a moldy smell.

We had the most amazing stay here primarily because the service of the staff was excellent. When we asked for help to book tickets to Gulangyu Island, Melet handled the whole process by going the extra mile to buy the ticket for us. She noticed it was my birthday and send a cake up to my room later that day. I couldn’t have asked for better service at the Pan Pacific. 😊 Anyone like me, without the ability to speak Chinese, do look for Melet, the polite and pretty front desk officer.

Location is excellent! 2 mins walk from.Jianye Road Metro Station, Line 2. You can watch the details on youtube video. Just type "Holikl Tv Pan Pacific Xiamen Hotel Review". A lot of nearby shops for eating. Wifi is strong. Bathroom is clean and spacious. They provide bath salt! Room is comfortable. The staff is friendly. Value for money overall.

Bring swimming cap if you want to use the pool, even for the guy with very short hair. But we can understand, this is to keep the cleanliness of the pool.

We had a comfortable stopover here between Australia and Europe. Might be a bit challenging to get there from the airport by cab without some Chinese, but we (with decent Mandarin) waited in the line for cabs to Xiamen city area outside the terminal and paid 35 CNY (the fare was the same on the way back -- the concierge called us a cab. Both ways cab drivers were happy to use their meter and to take cash). Front desk staff spoke pretty decent English and check in was easy -- there was a brief quibble about whether or one or two breakfasts were included in the rate but this was solved quickly and appropriately. The room was quite comfortable although the bathroom, though well fitted out was starting to show a bit of age. A really nice buffet breakfast, too. All in all a very good stay and great value compared to Australia.

Communication about airport transport after booking was rather too minimal.

Great place to explore Xiamen. Super comfy rooms and luxurious facilities. Excellent service and especially the concierge Sam was very professional, spoke good English, gave us helpful tips and helped us many times with communication and taxi apps etc. Definitely recommend!

Hotel was top class, absolutely amazing value as it was a 5 star hotel. Room was amazing and bed so comfortable. I was only on a stopover but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was one of the best I have had in Asia. Great location, but unfortunately I had quite an early flight so couldn't fully explore. The check in was so easy, and the receptionist spoke excellent English, and the concierge arranged a taxi for me in the morning to the airport and told the driver exactly where to take me.

this hotel deserves the 5 stars by all mean, spacious room with huge bathroom, very friendly and helpful stuff, prices in the Bar and restaurant are very affordable, (cheep),nice breakfast, jym and swimming pool, location was good, taxi to Airport from the hotel was less then $5.

internet abit slow, but surly they are working to get it fixed.
