The lady up front (Rebecca) was so nice and friendly. Very informative and helpful with accomodations as well as advice on some local things to eat and do. Sweet as can be, down to earth and an overall awesome greeting. The room was perfect for me. It's nothing fancy and yes being by the beach it had some maintenance issues but that's as to be expected for being in its location. And speaking of location.. perfect walking distance to the ocean of maybe 1.5 blocks (very small blocks) a small wooden bridge leading the way to a beautiful beach that was clean and amazing. Police made many passes of the area so .... Good and bad. I thought it was excessive but it's a small town so he prob didn't have much to do. This place is not for the snooty or snotty nit picker mainly because Karen should just stay home but also because this place is real and not cooperate square by the book every step of the way ticky tocky all the same type of place. Plus I want to keep my hole in the wall small but also would love to see Rebecca thrive from her awesomeness so... Anyway. It's a great place, I loved it and will be back. Karen's stay away, the curtains will fall on your head. Bhahah seriously though

I didn't care for .... Nothing it was all great! I have zero complaints here. Even the 3 am tweaker that had car trouble in the parking lot was nice as can be and did his best to minimize his shenanigans and keep the noise down until daylight. Very respectful people.

We have been big fans of surfside and love going but always want a cheap efficient way to stay close to the beach and this was it!! Love how it’s around so much and so close to the beach!

The hotel itself isn’t a Holiday Inn or something you would find on the Galveston seawall but it was perfect in every way we needed it to be and expected it to be!

We needed something quick, easy and cheap last minute just to be able to just stay the night after we were done with our beach day, but didn't want to pay for an expensive room that we were going to be hanging out in or anything like that - and this little gem was perfect. This wasn't some luxury hotel or anything, but was clean enough for what we expected and needed, convenient, affordable and perfect location. We are planning on going back in a couple of weeks. The manager that booked us in and out was awesome, friendly, and straight to the point - we were in and out!

Maybe add a easy clean-up rug to the floor in between the beds - my little one fell off and smacked his head behind his ear on the end table corner, but then also fell onto the tile floor with nothing to cushion any of that fall. We will come prepared for that next time - and it made sense why the whole room was tile considering how close it was too the beach so we didn't complain about it or anything, just more of a suggestion.

the front desk lady, i believe her name was rebecca, was so kind and helpful. we weren’t having an awesome time because we had forgotten some things at home (pots and pans) but she was able to get it to us, she even brought it to us in the rain because it was nearing a storm. i also wanted to add that although the weather wasnt great, their beach area was so cool!! my husband and i walked it together every day of our trip!!

Location to the beach was fantastic. Just a short walk away. We love staying here and hope to be able to come back soon. The view from the hotel is great as well. Very friendly and attentive staff.

So it’s not the Ritz but the value for the location is unbeatable. Nice peekaboo ocean view from our room and wide open views from the second floor landing. Property employees were always friendly and on point. With a vehicle beach entrance and surf/snack shop right next door, this is a great lil beach getaway with a relaxed vibe.

Having stayed here in the past we knew what to expect. Very basic, but for the price and location it is prefect. It is literally just steps to the beach.

So we stayed just a couple of weeks after a hurricane, and the cleanup was in full swing. We were put in a room recently renovated, but it was still musty, and the door was sticking enough to make it hard to lock with a key, but we were able to lock the doorknob when we were out of the room.

The A/C was cold, the staff were very friendly as well as the guests next door, LOL. Had a 4Runner conversation in the morning with the neighbor. The bedding was surprisingly very comfortable.

The shower was a little tight, but nothing anyone can really do about that. I got clean, that's all it needs to do.

I loved d staff.. dey go out of their way 2make ur stay pleasant.. at 1st stayed 2weeks then extended another 2weeks didn't want2leave.. I loved it their.. 1st everyone must realize that this is not a brand new motel Ben around 4a spell.. d owner has ben doing a great job upgrading d motel.. sure at times wer noisy but because I chose2b in dat area.. Doug in d front office understood I wanted 2b on d back side closer 2d Beach. 4d condition I'm in .. I perfered d back knowing dst side at d moment was a noisy area.. adapted quickly as wel realizing spring break.. morning kids running around .. ok wit dat as wel.. freebirds as I saw them.. they're just kids finally having a break from school all happy n jolly. Adapted quickly cuz I laughed at d noise at times.. imagined d fun they wer havin laughing loudly at times which drew me 2laughing wit'em.. d staff working hard real hard some as late in2d night.. ms B.B my maid which was going 2hav a bite at a sports bar type wit grill.. a local favorite place as wel4d visitors, asked if I'd lik 2try it being dat I was without a vehicle.. my daughter had dropped me off at d motel. Anyway Jason d everything doers as I saw it.. he's everything there.. up 2security as wel.. awesom fella great in fact once u know him.. I could not measure these hard working people.. Rachel as wel.. always making sure I was wit everything or needing something.. omg.. so so so sweet as wel her husband.. I think is her husband whom as wel works there another sweet n kind man eager2help if needed.. lik omg everyone there is so awesome.. a paradise 4a fisherman or.. many places around 2fish but I was lik 100yards from my door 2d water.. say 4houses down.. I fished artificial not expecting much since I'm just getting back 2fishing.. time not perfect but d start of d year but must consider d damage done2d fish wit d freez 2yrs ago n why I sat out last year..

There was nothing I can even think of.. I know lik I said it's not a 10star but 2me it is a 10star motel.. met beautiful people which became neighbors I called them as far as canada.Canada.. what else can I say.. I'm speechless can't measure d great staff dey R.. 2wonderful .. no ruler can measure dis great group of people

It was in walking distance to the beach no car nessary, just a nice wagon did the job just fine. The hotel has been around a long time so it's not a new resort style. We have been there several times so we know to take our own cooking stuff for the very adequate kitchenette. Full size stove 4 burners, microwave, and fridge with a full size freezer. We brought our own ice no ice machine on site. We also brought extra towels and blankets and pillows for our preference. The hotel is older but we come for the beach and you really can't find a better price with no extra charges added on beside the taxes. Friendly staff quiet at night with a nice seating area to look at the beach. Close to stores to buy stuff

Bring your own cooking stuff and extra towels but it was just fine for a few days 🙂
