The lodge is situated beautifully on the banks of the Orange river. The room and bathroom was spacious. There is a shower and bath. The linen and towels are good quality and the bed is comfortable. The room is old, but clean and neat. There is a TV with DSTV channels, fridge, kettle, coffe/tea and a airconditioner. There is free wi-fi available. There is a cement table and benches under a zinc patio - but no view. We highly recommend the lodge if you can overnight in the rooms at the front with a view over the Orange river. The host was very friendly and helpful.

The room (7) is dark and cold without any view. There is no table with work space in the room. The only plug with a multiplug, is near the fridge. The shower did not work properly. The interior and furniture in this room is a bit old fashioned.

The friendliness of all the cleaning, gardening and host was absolutely fantastic. Felt like home away from home. The beautiful gardens were relaxing with an amazing view of the beautiful river. Stunning barbecue facilities and we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast in a relaxed dining room.

Maybe have a look at upgrading the taps in the shower. If you open the Coldwater only a wee bit, all the hot water dissappear.

Upon arrival, Gabby - the staff member who helped us check-in - was incredibly helpful and accommodating, briefing us on the facilities and nearby fast-food spots. The rooms were excellent, being clean, comfortable and spacious. A notable addition in the room being a microwave (perfect for heating up left-overs before setting out early). The lodge's location also offers a spectacular view of the river.

I have very little to complain about. The barn-style doors in the bathroom may offer a bit of a privacy problem (as there are significant gaps in the doorway through which the main bed can be seen), but otherwise the stay was excellent!

Although breakfast was offered on Booking.com we discovered that we were supposed to have advised them in advance of arrivingand consequently one was not provided.

I loved the whole experience. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Gabby the manager went out of her way to make our stay even more pleasant. Maria, the owner, has also done everything to make us feel welcome. It was like visiting old friends. Sitting next to the river under beautiful trees and admiring the might of the Orange River is something to behold. I loved every moment

Too much furniture in the bedrooms, a dressing table and mirror would be nice The beds are way too hard, like rocks!!

Breakfast was great and staff were very friendly. We love the facility and enjoyed a very memorable stay. We will definitely visit this facility again en recommend it to our friends. We felt very safe.

The was nothing that we did not like. Great place to stay.

Location was great, though no fence at river bank.

We were left in complete darkness on the night of 17th June. No backup for loadshedding. No rechargeable lights. There's no fence at the river bank. Breakfast only served over a 1hour period. 07:30 - 08:45.

Beautiful, quiet location with great views of the river. Loved the pool outside our unit. Located near amazing restaurants.

The bathroom was a bit small.

The lodge is right on the banks of the Orange River and has lovely views. My room faced onto the charming garden and was very peaceful.
