In the first place, we received a friendly welcome from Taylor and she went out of her way to make sure we are settled in and happy. In the second place, we received a surprise upgrade due to some problems at the place we originally booked. Thirdly, the place is very beautiful with the Orange River closeby with a deck to view the river, as well as some springboks grazing quietly in the garden. Fourthly, we had a nice stay. The accommodation was very nice and comfortable. The aircons in each room was a bonus during this hot time. Would definitely go back there. Recommend it as an excellent place to stay.

There was not enough cutlery in the kitchen for the 3 of us. Luckily, we had some of our own cutlery with us, so we could manage without it.

The lodge is situated on the banks of the Orange River. There is a deck where you can relax. Springboks are wandering on the grounds. The room is comfortable.

Breakfast was included in the price, but if you were not there early, we found it cold and not worth the R150 we paid per person. We also expected a bit more for the price we paid - an electric blanket would be a nice touch. The parking was quite a distance from the room, so we had to carry a lot of heavy things to our room and back, because there is a problem with theft in Upington, and we did not want to take our camping equipment out of the secure parking area into the town.

we arrived very tired after a long hot journey with our two dogs, as when I booked, this was one of the places, that said it was pet friendly, but that had recently been changed because they now had springbok. The lady on reception was extremely helpful, and organised a room with a fenced garden for our dogs. so we were really grateful.

I didn't like the fact that we were miss led, by Booking.com saying the place was pet friendly when it wasn't.

The location was absolutely stunning. The decks on the river are a great spot for a cafe or a beer at sunrise or sunset. The rooms were lovely and clean. The staff were friendly and approachable. Fully recommend.

The breakfast was the only thing I took issue with, it was not up to the standards of the rest of the facilities and the environment. I think it can easily be improved by having more varied options in terms of what to serve.

The owners and staff were exceptionally helpful, the room was beautiful and the view's over the Orange river were magnificent the location was good for local attractions

We thought the pools were closed because they had tape around them, then saw other guests using the pool, not the owners fault we should have asked

Wow, this place really blew us away. If you happen to be travelling close to Upington then stay a night or more here. In the banks of the orange river with wildlife and buck right on your doorstep. We made a very last minute booking and despite this the hosts did everything that they could to make our stay special.

very good along what is fresh food at the buffet,the stafe very nice and will cook other plates from the kichen , at the front disk the lady in charge is very frindly along with young man jacop as i remember who receave us with pure smile .they all were very frindly thanks to you all

even the weather littl cold but the water in the pool is cloudy

The place has a beautiful view from the balcony... Friendly Receptionist and waiters. We were very well taken care of, Linda Philander such an amazing and friendly human being, she made sure we enjoy the place.

I liked everything I was satisfied with the place and expectations

We enjoyed the calmness of this lodge with an olde-worlde feel to it. It is in a great location and we were lucky to get a room with lovely views to the Orange River and a resident small springbok family in the large gardens.

What a peaceful and tranquil little place right on the Orange River! Close to everything we needed and the airport. Very good breakfast and love Linda's big smile and service.
