It is a charming, beautifully-located and very stylish hotel, with very interesting decor incorporating first - rate works of art; tapestries reminiscent of the work of Jean Lurcat, and original sculptures, all beautifully presented. It is in a quiet location, has an excellent swimming pool and good restaurants. The staff are charming and helpful. The Informel restaurant near the pool is a very good place for a simple, high-quality meal.

It is a pity that no tea- making facilities in bedrooms, or complimentary bottled water. The toiletries are also a bit basic - body/hair wash soap dispenser rather than separate shampoo and conditioner, as the quality of shower room and towels might lead one to expect.

Lovely location in extensive gardens. Pool was a short walk away but private and above average size (20-25m) Complementary pool towels. Friendly service. Although the restaurant is Michelin rated, we chose to visit the town to dine. We asked to change rooms as there were a lot of bees on the foliage climbing up one side of the building & also on our balcony, and this was accommodated without fuss.

It was great to see so many healthy bees, but not so close-up. A room change solved the issue for us. Overall, the building internals could do with updating, but everything was clean.

Wonderful setting and grounds, beautifully spacious, tastefully-furnished and decorated, comfortable well-resourced bedroom with lovely balcony from which to relax to enjoy the view. The swimming pool was lovely too.

It would have been lovely to have tea-making facilities in the room. Also, in a hotel of this quality, it was a bit lacking in generosity not to supply at least one bottle of mineral water free daily, in addition to those supplied in the mini bar.

Everything about the property was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very good, including a very comfortable bed. The food in the Informel restaurant was of a very high standard with wine at sensible prices. The breakfast was also very good. The grounds are beautiful and very well tended. We shall be definately returning again

Having to leave

The location was very good for accessibility to St Cere, Beaulieu and Rocamadour. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are comfortable and modern. The staff particularly the lady on reception were lovely and very helpful and friendly. I will stay here agian.

The pool is quite far from the hotel building, but this didn't affect us. I would have liked some snacks to be provided as part of the mini-bar.

lovely place with wonderful tapestry and art pieces and top rated restaurants. comfortable beds and sweet balcony looking out into the garden/green. The cork flooring in the room is very unique and nice.

I would like a kettle in the room for my hot water. they were very nice when I asked for hot water at the bar. But it's not convenient and I drank less water.

From the moment we stepped in, we felt right at home. The warmth and kindness of the staff were unparalleled. Nestled in a serene and picturesque setting, the surroundings boasted castles, charming villages, and pastoral fields dotted with grazing cows. The on-site restaurant was a highlight – serving the best dishes we've ever tasted in a truly delightful atmosphere. Our day here was unforgettable, and we can't wait to return. A gem of a hotel. Lovely rooms and a fabulous pool. However, it is the joy of Frédérik BIZAT’s superb Michelin 1 star cuisine that brings us back here when we travel through France. His wife is also wonderful at running the hotel and restaurant. Great staff too! Our fourth visit over 7 years and always a holiday highlight.

Hotel is set in a beautiful rural setting. Room had a lovely balcony and peaceful views. Has a magnificent restaurant that was exceptionally. All of the staff were helpful made us feel welcome

Pool is a bit of a walk to get to

The owners of the hotel were extremely helpful, quick to respond to our needs and full of interesting and useful information about the surrounding area. The hotel was lovely, set in a wooded area. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the gardens. It was tranquil, laid back but with excellent service
