We had a wonderful one night stay at Hotel Les Esclargies - it was an ideal stopover during our road trip down the South of France. We had a great and welcoming check-in, and were given lots of information. The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, and the air conditioning was a big relief after the near 40 degree heat outside! The location is perfect - just a 2 minute walk to an amazing view point of Rocamadour, then a short 10-15 minute walk into the town (just be prepared for the walk back up!) The pool was lovely and quiet too. Breakfast was tasty with plenty on offer. Would certainly recommend it!

The location is unbeatable, and the grounds are like a private park. Staff is on site only during check-in and check-out periods, at other times access is by key code. The downstairs rear corner room is handicap accessible and seems to be a bit larger than the others, with nice views out two sides and a private patio.

The room had a wheelchair-friendly bathroom, so the toilet was mounted uncomfortably high off the floor and the shower was built into the corner of the room, so the water went everywhere. The door connecting the adjacent room lets you hear everything the neighbors are saying and doing.

I don't really want to say anything good about this place because then everyone will want to stay here and when we come to book again (which we will) they will be too booked up - However, I am going to have to be honest. This was the nicest, cleanest, most spacious, best located hotel I've ever stayed in. So we are travelling round France, it's really hot and, after two busy locations I know I need a place with is peaceful with a pool. Rocamadour is one of my favourite places so I start my search. Wow, I stumbled across this fantastic gem of a place. Tucked away, surrounded by trees yet walking distance to the lift that takes you down to picturesque Rocamadour with its restaurants, shops and history. The hotel was quiet, spotless, spacious, air conditioned and had a pool - bliss! Thank you we will be back for more than just one night next time!

Nothing really, if I had to dig deep for anything I'd say maybe some pictures on the walls in the bedroom, bathroom, toilet might brighten the walls up but such an insignificant grumble I'm ashamed to even have made it.....

This is a really nice place to stay and feels very homely. Room was very spacious overlooking the large grounds at the rear. There was plenty of parking and the staff/owner were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really nice and plentiful and the location of the hotel is ideally placed to go and explore Rocamadour which is a short walk away where you can either make your own way down or get the lifts. No restaurant (which we knew when we booked) but there are some a very short walk away. You can buy wine by the bottle from the reception as well. The garden is well kept and really nice, there is also a pool but we didn't use that. It was really nice to fall asleep in the double hammock at the bottom of the garden.

Lovely Hotel at the top of the village - parking was easy for us in our vw van - we were given a good welcome by the girl at reception who was chatty and showed us to our room- our room was on the ground floor with a large shower toilet room, we had a door in room that gave direct access to outside and there was a garden table and chairs for better weather. We could see the pool from our room not uncovered but I’d imagine it’s lovely in the summer - We had a great nights sleep and shower was good - there was a kettle in the room.

I think we had been given the disability room - The toilet was too high we couldn’t actually touch the floor when sitting - Didn’t like the carpet rough on bare feet - room had a smell of cat wee which wasn’t from bathroom but might have been from plants near the window. In comparison to lovely girl that greeted us on arrival the lady we gave key to as we left seemed disinterested on our appreciation of our stay she just nodded and didn’t say was everything ok or have a safe journey! We were speaking French and not complaining just happy tourists.

I do not usually leave reviews here, but for this hotel I have to make an exception because it is faultless! The ideal place to hole up for a few days, with its lovely garden and pool and a spacious, really comfortable room. Service was perfect - friendly, attentive and unobtrusive all at the same time. The location is ideal for a stay in Rocamadour is as it's very close to sights/attractions & to restaurants - also with a fantastic viewpoint right at the bottom of the garden. And yet you feel nicely hidden away in a quiet spot once you're through the garden gate.

There is nothing I didn't like. Only facility i'd have liked to have but didn't have would have been a little fridge in the room because we like our picnics.

The hotel is situated in a park like setting yet only 15 minute walk to Rocamadour. Spacious rooms, nice garden to sit in and a great pool area. Staff extremely friendly. Breakfast was excellent too. Would definitely go back there as it’s very relaxing.

No problem for us but there’s no elevator. However the rooms are only 1 floor up.

The location in Rocamadour is fantastic, within walking distance from the Medieval Town and Castle. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were accommodating. I have already started recommending Hotel Les Esclargies to all my friends

The bath/shower could do with a glass partition, to avoid wetting the bathroom floor, otherwise, everything else was perfect.

Located right in Rocamadour with a garden back door directly connected to the town and a stunning view where we can access the path leading to the town and the Sanctuary. The large garden is peaceful with its beautiful trees and the swimming pool is a bonus. The entire hotel is serene with a focus on nature. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Constructive feedback only as I love this place! The breakfast is lovely with homemade cakes and local products, just a little note on the range of gluten free/vegan options that can be improved. The little kettles in the room are not the most practical as they are not wireless and some limescale remains inside.

The setting of the hotel within the trees is lovely. Very modern inside with very friendly knowledge staff. Walk out the back garden straight onto a viewing platform for the valley with magnificent views of the castle. Easy to find a restaurant in town with a nice walk back. Then a comfy bed for a sound sleep.

Wish we could have left later to experience breakfast and the amazing garden!
