We liked everything about this very pleasant hotel. Check-in takes place inside the American Diner that the hotel is linked to. The staff were friendly and ever so helpful throughout, answering all our queries and gave us so much local information too. The room was large and spotlessly clean. The one minor negative was that the room did feel quite warm when we got in (something we noticed in other hotels in Sweden) but you could also open the window, so it really wasn't an issue at all. The facilities throughout the room were fine, nice bathroom and shower area, plenty of towels, plus usual selection of teas and coffees. Breakfast was included in our very reasonably priced two night stay, plenty to choose from with options for vegetarians and also non-dairy alternatives for those who don't do milk. Decaffeinated coffee is almost non-existent in Sweden, so that's one to note, should that be an issue for you. The hotel is 250 yards from the small train station, but you don't notice the trains that much (our room overlooked that side of the hotel). Plenty of little eatieries close by, plus the diner downstairs (the food was excellent here). One lovely touch the hotel provided for concert goers to Dalhalla ~ food and drink for hotel guests who'd been to the gig at Dalhalla had some post-show sandwiches and drink (non-alcoholic) when we arrived back. Never seen that before anywhere ~ so thoughtful. Highly recommend a stay at the Hotel Rättvik.

As above, one very minor thing was the room being too warm when we got in. Fan and window open helped that situation.

Great location, comfortable bed, helpful staff. Very good breakfast, minus juice. Tasty American pancakes and a chocolate fountain as a special treat. Siljan at Rättvik has a nice sandy beach, shallow waters and a long dock for good walk and view and a proper dip.

Marquis curtains on windows covered half of the lake view that we've paid for. And the hotel didn't open it just for one room. Not so clean - messy glasses and cups both in the room and in the restaurant, dirty shower cabin doors. Minibar in a wardrobe - funny and inconvenient. Though the room had plenty of space for it.

Proximity to the train station and basically anything you need in Rättvik is very close to the hotel. 1950s style American Diner which is the actual hotel restaurant where buffet breakfast is served.

Curtains in the room are not blackout curtains, so if you come during late spring or summer time, you’ll get woken up by sunlight as early as 03:30 in the morning.

Very nice location. At the ground level there is a very nice american retro restaurant. Breakfast is in the same restaurant, as the check-in - check-out. Breakfast was ok-ish...it could be more diverse. Employees from the restaurant were very helpful with surroundings info.

The room was not very well soundproofed, one could hear everything in the nearby rooms. The bed had some kind of thick top-up which was very very soft...not very comfortable for sleeping, especially for those with back problems.

Great location in centre of Rattvik. Comfy bed, clean room. Great facilities. We loved the American diner. Yummy breakfast. Friendly staff. Would recommend.

Comfy bed, good TV, mini fridge stocked with drinks for purchase, 90mbps Wi-Fi, great breakfast, restaurant downstairs is really cool, easy parking, really nice town and location.

The diner that is attached to the hotel makes your stay worth it. What a great place. Skip all the mainstream fast food restaurants and have great American 50s dinner at this place. We arrived in the dark and left, so the surroundings (which is not that great) did not bother us. In terms of location the hotel is well located.

The staff were so kind natured, friendly, good-willed and helpful that it makes guests feel comfortable and happy. They go out of their way to ensure guests have a wonderful time in Rattvik. In addition, the 1950s American theme is unique, nostalgic and fun. Additional perks such as generous after-hours complimentary snacks. Wonderful atmosphere. Proximity to railway station and beautiful lake is perfect.

Nice warm welcome after a long trip. Good food in the Diner and a full Minibar. That’s a long time ago.Free parking on own property. Almost direct access to Lake Siljan. Feels like Switzerland
