The property is beautifully maintained, an oasis of calm amidst the countryside. Our room was beautiful, the pool was superb, and the excursions were unique. The staff in particular were so friendly and polite! Especially the manager, Rinkesh. The food was also of a much higher quality than we have found anywhere else in India. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who is anywhere near Udaipur or Jodhpur - it’s worth the trip. Make sure you experience the candlelit stepwell dinner, and the snacks by the lake as the sun sets. Both were unforgettable.

Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like. It was the best hotel we have ever stayed in.

Beautifully appointed rooms with luxury beds and linen. Each room has an outside sitting area which is mostly private. The staff were almost too kind! The menu was a welcome relief for us as we had overdosed on Indian fare and our stomachs needed a touch of international food in order to recover. The safaris were meticulously organised with experienced guides who were experts in all wildlife as well as Leopards.

It felt very military in its precision planning although to be fair I think it probably needed to be. We didn’t attend the step well dinner but hear that it is amazing. Being gluten free it was a day or two before I realised they had gluten free pizza bases , cake and bread for snack lunches.

A truly special, magical stay at this remarkable heritage property. Such a wonderful calm ambience throughout from the moment we arrived. Everything from the stunning exterior & lush gardens to the beautiful rooms, refreshing pool & the breathtaking mountain view. The food, safari and step- well dinner were all amazing. The friendly service from everyone especially Raju, LaLa & Madhu was outstanding. Thank you to Rinkesh who went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable 🙏

This Haveli is a real gem in Narlai, the Leopard Country. We had a great experience from the warm welcome to the check out. They upgraded us to a superior room with a beautiful view in the renovated wing of the haveli. The furniture is a shabby chic version of a French style that blends very well with the Haveli. The garden is manicured and the swimming pool is absolutely great. The staff provides a massage while you are waiting for your dinner or just after it making you relaxing before going to bed and sleep like a King! We had our dinner on the terrace overlooking an amazing granite hill rock. The food was not the highlight of the evening but the level of attention from the waiter was absolutely great. The same waiter was managing the bar with great experience. Rawla Narlai deserves more than 1 night as we missed the safari that we believe is a must!

Very warm welcome, interested in us, service exceptional and some of the staff charming, lovely room. Bar menu for pool area was great, evening food very tasty and breakfast extensive. We did sunrise trip to top of hill (recommended). Best place we stayed in during our 3 weeks in India.

Nothing but we were put off various extras by the cost. For example we did leopard safari for less than half the price at another place.

Loved every minute! Very warm welcome, beautiful rooms and building and a lovely pool! Walk up to the elephant statue was well worth the climb. What a view!! Dinner at the stepwell must not be missed. We thought it seemed a bit pricey for India but it was totally worth it. The setting is like nothing we’ve ever seen! Headed off early on the Leopard Safari with low expectations but we’re lucky enough to see three beautiful leapords. What luck! Reluctantly left after a beautiful breakfast. Highly recommended. Wish we could have stayed longer!

A wonderful combination of comfort, space and great service. Our room proved to be a fantastic space to relax, take baths, sit on the balcony with a book, sipping tea and watching the sunset. We cannot fault the team and the service on offer - the staff were well versed in making the guests' stay a comfortable and enjoyable one. We had great dinners on the rooftop, and equally enjoyable breakfasts. The leopard safari was another unforgettable experience: getting out into the wilderness at 7am and driving through the bush, surrounded by birdsong, looking for the elusive leopard. The guide was amazing in his determination to ensure we got a sighting of the leopard and what a sighting this was! The leopard playfully rolling in the grass at the top of a high hill was a sight not to be forgotten. The hotel was the perfect base to visit Ranakpur Jain Temples, an hour's drive away, and Kumbalgarh Fort, situated high in the mountains - both places worth a visit. Altogether, we had a fantastic short stay at Rawla Narlai and I would highly recommend this hotel for a break away from the hustle and bustle of the great cities.

There really isn't anything much that I could suggest in terms of improving the quality of the hotel facilities or services on offer. A small comment: we found the cocktails somewhat disappointing. It is also probably useful to be aware that the hotel is situated in an eponymous Mewari village with high levels of poverty and deprivation, and it offers some support and employment opportunities to the local community.

The food in general was very good. The stepwell dinner experience is very special and highly recommended. We stayed in the newer part of the palace in a suite and were very pleased with our room. It had a balcony overlooking the gardens and swimming pool. The massage I had was excellent. There are plenty of activities to choose from including the village walk and leopard safari. We enjoyed both of those too.

Wonderful hotel with extremely helpful nice and welcoming staff. Definitely worth the trip to the otherwise remote Narlai. From the leopard’s safari to the candlelit dinner and the walk to the temple through the village everything was perfect. Thanks again to the amazing team for the great and unforgettable memories. We will be back for sure and recommend definitively.

Amazing facilities and a beautiful property. Lovely helpful staff. Great food and a wonderful array of activities to choose from (we did the step-well dinner & it was incredible). Lovely heritage room and amazing marble bathroom.

Everything was wonderful but the activities were quite expensive, particularly the step-well dinner, however we thought it was worth it as you can’t do this anywhere else!
