The property is located in a spot with a breathtaking, idyllic view of the endless blue sea and the castle — a view you simply can’t get enough of! The atmosphere is peaceful and serene, making it an ideal choice if you’re looking to relax and unwind. The staff is incredibly friendly and polite — from the service team, to the kitchen, to housekeeping. The owner Spiros is also very welcoming and always ready to assist with anything you might need. Breakfast here is a unique experience: absolutely delicious with plenty of variety, and served in the area above the pool with an unforgettable view. The rooms are spotless and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. This was our second time staying at this boutique hotel, and we noticed that some guests were returning as well — a clear sign of the place’s success and charm. I wholeheartedly recommend it. My Wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and we were absolutely blown away by this place ! It was tucked away in this beautifully secluded area located between Apollonia and Kastro. The views were beyond incredible and the staff was so unbelievably kind and accommodating! You really felt at home at this place. The vibes were just off the charts. They even were able to help us do a small amount of laundry we needed done ! I have to mention the complimentary breakfast was probably our favorite out of the whole 4-island trip, so so so good. I would recommend this place to literally anyone who visits sifnos it really is that great ! Thank you guys so much !

Our stay at Gerofinikas was one of those unique experiences where, believing or not, everything was perfect. and when you thought things can't go better, they went better! They helped us get from the port city to the hotel. We were greeted with refreshing lime/mint/cucumber water. The room was spotless and very welcoming. The views were incredible. The food was great and the serving personnel was friendly and warm. There are only few rooms and no children (nothing against children, but when I plan a resting vacation, I want quiet and serene. This place was perfect. about 200 meters there is a supermarket for everything you want. it is located half way b/w downtown Apollonia (20 min easy walk) and Kastro (20 min walk). 10 min walk to Kato Petali, and also 20 min walk to Artemonas.

I usually find a thing or 2 to recommend for improvement, but not here.

Spyros and his mother were warm and welcoming. They provided suggestions for restaurants, towns, and beaches to visit. The chef was wonderful, and the woman who was serving all day was lovely. Apollonia was around a 20-minute walk from the hotel. I had a car and, after a day driving around, I got used to all the twists and turns and maneuvering by trucks and buses (which wasn’t often). The road around the island is paved, which made it more enjoyable to drive around and see different parts of the island. Coming back to the hotel in late afternoon gave me a chance to sit by the pool with a book and let my mind wander across the endless blue of the Aegean. This is a serenely quiet location and a real escape from.daily life.

While I do enjoy a good storm, the last two days of my stay were met with ferocious winds, cold, and some rain. Although it wasn’t unpleasant to experience the change in weather, it did limit what I was able to do. However, staying in my room or hanging out in the indoor dining room/kitchen with other guests was also an experience that was enjoyable and relaxing.

The staff were superb - always available and nothing was too much trouble. The small number of rooms added to the atmosphere. Food - both at breakfast and on the three occasions that we availed of the option to have dinner was of the highest quality. The location made accessing the highlights of the island very easy.

Very hard to criticise any aspect of our stay - if there was one thing that did not match the gold star quality it was just the bathroom in one of the rooms we had.

Gorgeous stay end to end!! Cannot recommend Gerofinikas enough!! Spyros, his mom, Vasiliki & the entire team were exceptional. Very Generous with their time and spirit. They went out of their way to make us comfortable & cared for. The truest example of impeccable hospitality. Gorgeous views, amazing restaurant, incredible breakfast each morning. In awe of this place. Hang out by the pool with beers and wine overlooking the sea, easy walk to town, trails & surrounding areas. Will return again and again!! Brava!!!

Great staff - helpful, attentive. Great rooms, pool and restaurant (breakfast and lunch was good - although didn’t have meat / fish others said it was good. Location is very quiet, which is amazing, but also close enough (15-30m) to Apollonia and Kastro respectively. If You don’t mind a walk every evening it’s perfect.

We didn’t ask for much advice on the island / transport etc. I’m sure they’d have helped if asked, but perhaps could be provided during check-in (probably missing out on some commission too!). Otherwise everything was great.

Amazing 5-star boutique hotel experience. Family-run accommodation, Nasia and her son, Spiros were the perfect hosts. Fresh local produce cooked to perfection at the restaurant. Breakfast was magnificent - fresh and sumptuous. Immaculate, spacious room. Fantastic swimming pool. Great location for walking into Apollonia town and the surrounding fishing villages. We loved our exploration of Syfonos, made perfect by our stay at Gerofinikas Boutique Hotel.

The hotel was wonderful, and the view was breathtaking. The man at reception was incredibly kind and always smiling. The room was small, but perfect for the two of us – and the bathroom was spacious! While we didn’t have a chance to try the lunch or dinner options, the breakfast was excellent. The chef had fantastic energy, and the lady serving breakfast had a wonderfully gentle presence. One unexpected highlight was a sweet little cat that visited us on the balcony. So trusting and affectionate, it really stole our hearts. I’m not usually a “cat person,” but it sparked so much warmth in me that I even looked into adopting it! If possible, I hope someone cares for this lovely creature or perhaps moves it to a place where it can find regular food and safety. It truly deserves kindness.

We liked everything. It’s a shame it was a bit windy so water in this amazing pool was a bit chilly. Would love to swim in it one day:)

Absolutely beautiful family run hotel. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts, coffees and cocktails in the evening were incredible looking out at the amazing sea views. All the rooms terraces looked like they have just as spectacular views as ours. Location is spot on walkable to Appollonia for dinner and Kastro too. Everything else on the Island just a short drive away. Couldn't fault it and will definitely be coming back. 10/10
