The property is a gem! It’s a small property with only nine rooms. Everything is very well thought out and attention to detail is evident throughout. The cafe, outdoor sitting area and pool (all on the top floor) have stunning views of the water and islands. Our room on the first floor also had stunning views! The room was large with a beautiful bath and well appointed. The staff is impeccable and were very responsive. The hotel beach is small but a larger beach is a ten minute walk on a beautiful trail along the water. Central town and several good restaurants are a short walk away. Overall an excellent property, we enjoyed our stay very much! Highly recommend!

This boutique hotel is an absolute gem! The nine rooms are beautiful and comfortable, spacious with large windows opening up to the most beautiful sea views. The bed was extremely comfortable and we fell asleep every night to the sound of the waves outside. What truely makes this hotel special, is the staff. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The staff members are all excellent, friendly, welcoming and so kind. Special mention to Andrea at reception and Rodney at the bar who made the best Mojito's ever! Breakfast was served upstairs in the beautiful dining room. There was a lovely selection of fruit, yoghurt and pastries every day. Warm breakfast made to order was delicious and the coffee was superb! Frederika was exceptional - friendly and attentive, kind and generous. A place where one can truely exhale and recharge! Thank you to all, we hope to be back!

Nothing. The little town of Portoscuso is not the most beautiful place ever and rather small, but still extremely endearing. I highly recommend a day trip by ferry to Carloforte - it is stunning!

Great location, style, staff and cleanness.

One of the rooms is misleadingly advertised as having “side sea view”. Have this in mind when you are making your reservation. The room was great, but what you really see is an inch of water from the Marina area. So if sea view is important for you, be careful. The hotel will not move you to a different room because they will argue the room is displayed on the pictures shown in Booking - which is true. The misleading part is that all other rooms (also in the photos displayed) do have a proper “side sea view” and you cannot tell which window photos belong to which room.

Peaceful, Beautiful, and Perfect for a Solo Stay Relais La Ghinghetta is a true find. Tucked right up against the sea, it feels more like a serene coastal hideaway than a hotel. As a solo traveler, I was looking for somewhere peaceful, safe, and beautiful—and this place delivered on all fronts. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, with the sound of the waves in the background and stunning views from every angle. My room was bright, thoughtfully designed, and spotlessly clean. I especially appreciated the small touches—comfortable bedding, soft lighting, and windows that opened to fresh sea air. The staff were warm, respectful, and helpful without being intrusive. I never felt out of place traveling alone.. Breakfast was a highlight. It was generous and relaxed, with a mix of fresh fruit, pastries, eggs made to order, and great coffee. Sitting by the water with a good book and a quiet start to the day was exactly what I needed. Relais La Ghinghetta felt like a safe, welcoming escape—perfect for solo travel but also somewhere I’d gladly return with friends. I left feeling refreshed, and grounded.

Great location above a small secluded sandy beach. Nice room, beautiful bathroom. Great terrace with a view to the sea, a "rest" pool and a cosy lounge. Staff is also very kind and welcoming. Breakfast on the rooftop was excellent. Will definitely stay again. Parking is in the nearby street, had no issue to find a free slot. Restaurants are in a walking distance. Room service is also excellent.

The door of our room was not sound proof. Hopefully the hotel is small and not too many guest move at night. We had ants in our room but the staff treated it very fast.

The hotel was absolutely perfect. Right on the beach and a great location, close walk to town and lovely restaurants. The staff were so welcoming and friendly - grazie Federica & Rodney! The breakfast/aperitivo were delicious and we loved the rooms and all of the spaces.

The staff were truely amazing, nothing was too much trouble, thank you to Rodney and Andrea and the 2 lovely ladies who served us breakfast every day, you really did make our experience wonderful. The room facilities are fab, I would recommend upgrading your room to the sea view as it was worth it. The hotel room itself provided excellent facilities hot shower, fresh towels every day, beach towels plus the use of a beach bag, plus toiletries, tea/coffee mini bar etc Also, as the hotel only has 9 rooms it means the hotel is never crowded. We had the pool area most days to ourselves which was lovely. I noted one review mentioned that they struggled to communicate with the hotel staff but thats totally untrue as we only speak English and all staff at the hotel spoke English perfectly.

I didn't dislike anything about the hotel but the town of Portosuso is quite small and not an awful lot to do so definitely recommend getting a taxi to travel to see some beaches, go on a boat trip etc. I would also say it would have been nice to have had a bigger pool (we did swim in the sea but my partner got stung by a jelly fish so just be warned!) 🤣 But the small pool is fine but if I had to pick one thing to change at the hotel it would have been this.

We travelled through Sardinia to five stops at Inns and this magnificent and magnificently run B&B on the coast at Portoscuso was was best - A++ ! A small, intimately run, very personal staffed and ultra modern design place is located hanging over the cliffs in southwestern Sardinia, only one hour from the Cagliari airport. Even when our AC unit went bad, the staff was magnificent and as accommodating as possible with a full hotel ( nine rooms)on the roof top dining room was superb and very memorable for the chef-created omelets. We particularly wish to remember Anthony in the roof-top bar, Fabbio who kept us in fans the first night, Lisa, who made sure we had what we needed, and the lovely lady in the big chef hat who specialized in sweet baked goods and helped us put on pounds with a smile on our face……Relais is a tad hard to find without a GPS but worth the few wrong turns and tiny streets to get there.

Nothing could have been better!

Everything was perfect: the position? It cannot get better anywhere in the world, as your room window is overlooking one of the best little beaches in Sardinia. The staff is kind, discrete, and always happy to help. The white colour of the whole structure gives a touch of calmness and softness that make the atmosphere even more romantic and suspended in time.

This is a beautiful hotel. The town is quaint albeit you drive through an ugly industrial area to get here. Do not be put off. If you want a small boutique hotel this is it. The breakfast is amazing, staff wonderful and the view of the sea and sunset are breathtaking. We had a sea view room with balcony. It was very spacious and nice to be able to sit out and look over the sea and little beach. The rooftop pool is small but perfect for reading a book and watching out to sea.
