quiet area of town. no loud noise from the highway.

noise from other rooms. could hear people moving furniture and showering and Snoring! the "included breakfast ". was low quality, only included cheese for a protein source. It was a croissant, two pieces of bread, quick oats, three slices of cheese, apple juice, cucumber and an apple. There was no option for eggs, even though they have a kitchen. i would negotiate a better room price and get breakfast somewhere else.

We had a very pleasant stay in this accomodation. We had two single beds in one room and a private bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. Staff was super friendly and we got our key within a minute of our arrival. We also received breakfast in the morning, which was a pre-prepared meal (croissant, apple, juice, 2x toasts, cucumber, jam, egg + optional ham). You can also ask for a vegan option for which I was very grateful. If you are up for it, you can hike to a beautiful waterfall behind the reception within a few minutes.

Room was a bit small but it was no real problem for us.

Great location, there is a hike to a waterfall that begins just outside the hotel. The room was really nice, comfortable beds and a big bathroom.

The breakfast was fixed: two slices of bread, three slices of cheese, four slices of cucumber, one croissant, one portion (10gr) of jam and one of butter, 200ml apple juice and one apple. Coffee/tea was available with no limit. The guy at the counter would ask you if you wanted some ham as well and, in case you said yes, would then proceed to take with pliers one slice of ham, being extremely careful to take no more than one slice. Breakfast was overall fulfilling and quite good (except the apple that was clearly old and wrinkly) but you are not allowed to pick what you would prefer to eat and in what portions. Not sure if they would make exceptions in case of food allergies.

Great little place, yes it is rustic and a bit worm down in some spots but im not sure why there is so many negative reviews. It’s in a great place and the room was comfortable. The waterfall is a short walk and offered awesome views and a picnic spot

Staff was okay, its clear that its just a job for them and not necessarily a passionate job either which is fine just cant expect them to go above and beyond. They give you lots of food for breakfast but i felt a buffet style would have been better and likely reduce food waste as there was lots of people leaving food behind.

Staff: They were very nice and helpful. Room: The beds were comfortable. It was cozy and nice. Location: It was nice that it was so quiet and it was close to a waterfall. Also it is close to the main road. Bathroom: There was always hot water available and the toilet flushed properly. The shower cabin was big enough. Breakfast: It was a plate with a fixed amount of things. See the other section.

Breakfast: I would prefer to have a Swedish buffet option rather than receiving a fixed amount of things on a plate

A very well situated hotel on the way from Reykjavik to Höfn. The room was spacious and had some nice amenities. Private bathroom and good Wi-Fi. The staff were very nice and the breakfast the next morning was a nice tough. I also enjoyed the waterfall nearby.

No kitchen services, only a restaurant and given we like to prep our own meals to save money this was not ideal. But at least the website makes that clear so we didn’t feel cheated. Also it was a very pricey stay here, although it was the cheapest in the area.

The room was absolutely stifflingly hot and it took 2 hours of open window and door to cool down to a liveable temperature Nobody on duty to ask for help and no phone number to call

Location was great, nice and quiet village. Room stayed warm at night. Breakfast included was good for travellers, plenty to eat!

Very basic ameneties. Shower didn’t work on the morning of our departure. Only had cold water, no hot water. No fridge in the room so couldn’t store any milk for tea. We stayed 2nights and were in a cabin block of 4 rooms and it seemed a bit odd that of all the available rooms across the property, on the first night they put people in the two rooms right next to us. The walls were very thin.

The room was large enough, the private bathroom were comfortable, overall the facilities were quite good.

The floor in the room was covered with sand so we had to wear our flip-flops. We're not entirely sure we didn't bring the sand in, but we do believe we didn't. One side of the bed was next to the wall with no outlet near it which was a bit uncomfortable. Breakfast was a fixed box with a rather small variety, with no protein. They did offer filtered coffee with oat milk which was nice.

Very clean and cozy. Kettle for shared use with complimentary tea and coffee, nice breakfast included. Shared bathroom and toilet, but also a small sink inside the room. Friendly staff. Great location for south-east sightseeing.

When we arrived at night our neighbours had used up all the hot water so we had to shower the morning after. Also, we asked for gluten free breakfast in advance and they forgot to tell the staff - although they quickly fixed us with some gluten free bread.
