Nice room, friendly staff, although there weren't always staff there, very communicative via email before our stay, comfy bed, warm room, handy location, quiet. The restaurant downstairs was very good.

The large number of steps to our room and the fact that there is no elevator! This was not emphasised in the copious communications we had received. This made it very difficult for us as we are not as young and strong as we once were - it would have been nice to be warned. Staff were helpful but they were not always available. There was a hand truck there but the wheels fell off when I tried to use it. In the end we had to re-pack our stuff into several smaller bags so that we could safely get it downstairs. The system for storing luggage on our last day was not very secure - just a cupboard with a locking cable - that another guest had failed to lock up properly! The free breakfast was not very appealing but we could easily self-cater in our room.

Location. Staff very attentive and friendly. Food selection was great. The room was clean. Very comfortable bed.

Very noisy. We could hear other guests and staff from our room. We were awakened both mornings by loud conversations and people walking around above us and in the main room. Navigating the breakfast area was hard. Small space for the number of guests trying to get and prepare their breakfast.

This was the cutest place! I feel like it was 1/2 hotel and 1/2 Air BNB. Staff was extremely friendly but not overbearing, well stocked guest lounge complete with fresh cookies. The room was small but very clean, the bed was so comfortable! I traveled with a group and we all stayed at different places, everyone was jealous of my choice, I had no complaints over morning coffee! Would definitely stay again!

From even before we arrived, we received all the useful information on the entire inn as well as tips for around Juneau. The staff at the inn went out of their way to print a “happy birthday” sign on our room door for my sister which made it so very special! We stayed in the penthouse suite which was so spacious, clean, and warming with a lovely view, quick heating fireplace, espresso machine in a fully stocked kitchenette, amazing shower and a hot tub steps from our door. The inn itself was so cute and the breakfast included everything you needed to start the day in a heathy way. We will always stay at Silverbow inn when we visit Juneau!

It is a charming place and fun to meet the other guests and hear about their adventures without the B&B pressure of a meal together. We are a couple in our 50’s and we like to choose more unusual places to stay. We were with my parents, in their 80’s, who thought it was pretty funky - not quite their style, but soon they made friends in the lobby and got into the spirit. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to everything but off the main road. It’s between two fantastic restaurants. The staff was very helpful and friendly, they really want you to have everything you need. Breakfast was not fancy but there were nice self-serve options for hot and cold food, a microwave, and toaster. The coffee was excellent and the rooftop hot tub is outstanding. Juneau is a darling town. I’d definitely stay again when traveling without my elderly parents, due only to the lack of accessibility for someone with mobility issues. Next time I’ll book direct as there were some issues with charges and the cost of the rooms here vs the inn’s own website. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Silverbow Inn.

Couple things could have been better. First, booking.com’s prices somehow ended up being way higher than booking directly would have been, and the King Suite does not have a hot tub as advertised here. Not the hotel’s fault. The main issue is the one slightly accessible suite is not truly accessible. The bed is way too high for someone with mobility issues. They had to lend us a stepladder for my mom to climb to get in and out of bed. It was a bit treacherous, but she was a trooper. There’s also a big post in the middle of the room. I don’t think the hotel claims to be be ADA compliant so I’m just putting that out there to be helpful. Had I known I’d have booked elsewhere for my mom’s comfort and safety. Very quaint property in a very prime location. They really pay attention to the details that make your stay comfortable. The bed was really comfortable and the shower had the most amazing full body spa shower system. The place was kept clean and the kitchen where you can make yourself something to eat was fabulous. We were lucky to be in one of the larger rooms while we met a couple that their room was very small. We would absolutely go back again.

There is no elevator so that is the downside for anyone with bad knees.

The breakfast and snacks were not really anything we eat and there was not much choice. We knew there would be steps but wow. It is a nice place and I love that each room has a keypad lock. The hot tubs on the roof are great and the rooms were comfortable.

Better selection of food and snacks if you want to say you have breakfast included.

PERFECT. I have to say, this is probably the best hotel/Inn I’ve stayed in not only in Alaska, but all over the US. First, everything and all the process can be self-service, even i got there late, they have all the access code and a letter at the front desk to let you do the self-check in. What’s more, they have incredibly adequate facilities in the kitchen. you can have your coffee/tea/hot chocolate anytime with all the milk/creamer/marshmallows prepared. There are also baked cookies, egg bites, muffins, yogurt, granola, popcorn and fruits you can get in kitchen. You can have that if you feel hungry or thirsty, it’s very considerate. Also, the decoration and the whole interior design is so beautiful, I love how they put various artworks from local artists. And the interior design of the room is aesthetic, is kinda modern with Nordic style. By the way, the Italian restaurant they have (just near the hotel) is super good. I ordered the Funghi pizza and is super delicious and worthy. Last but not least, I want to share how sweet and considerate the people here are. I accidentally stained the sheets because of my period, I feel sorry and left a memo to contact me. Then I got the housekeeper left me a heart-warming letter saying it’s okay. The message is warm and considerate, I never have this kind of experience and I am wondering how they can be so nice and caring. I really love this place so much and it makes me want to visit here in the future!! sending my love!

We just had a short stay. Hope to stay longer in the future. Staff was so sweet! We had to leave at 3am for a flight. They recognized we would miss breakfast and offered to pack us a breakfast to go ahead of time. With how tight our flights were, it ended up being the only food we had all day! Thank you so much!
