Port Albert in April is very quiet and exceptionally beautiful without the summer tourists, and the Port Albert Motel is on the site of the historic hotel, opposite the jetty. I can recommend a detour to this charming historic port, for the beauty of the lake and the wildlife. IThe motel rooms are simple, but perfectly good for a stay of a day or two. There are no staff at the motel, but you can reach Denise by phone, and she will open the door for you. The room was spotless, with everything you might want - tea, coffee, wine and other drinks from the mini-bar. The beds were large and comfortable, designed for a family. Only the shower room was a bit old, but perfectly functional. The Fish and Chips restaurant on the jetty is not to be missed, though it is only open until ~3pm during the off-season. We would certainly stay again when we have the opportunity.

This was an easy stay. You book you pay and details are sent to you or ring the nice lady on the number provided. We will be back no hesitations. Rooms are clean and comfortable heater worked well when it got a bit nippy one night. Not many rooms as i heard some burnt when the pub burnt. Also a mini bar is provided if required. There is also a BBQ area for use. I didnt give top marks for everything as there is always room for improvement. Walking distance to everything in Port Albert.. Give it a go i dont think you will be disappointed.

The motel was just across from the jetty which was very picturesque. Port Albert is very quiet and really good for solitude and quietness. The manager Denise is worth her weight in gold and was very helpful and responsive to requests. The area is close to Wilson Prom and to other towns of interest like Welshpool and Toora. We had a most enjoyable 4 days. The fish and chips at port Albert is really good too!

The remote check-in worked at treat. Room was clean, well appointed, had everything I needed & more. Shower was hot and good pressure, parking right at the door & bed super comfy. Heater worked great, utensils etc were more than adequate and a very nice little mini bar was well stocked and priced. Location is fantastic, always a pleasure to visit Port Albert. Fabulous sunrises, great food places and friendly people.

Nothing really. Not a criticism but is roughly a 1980s motel originally, so shower was older style but very clean and functional. As I said, not a criticism.

Quiet location, comfortable bed, good facilities with microwave, toaster, even butter, vegemite and jam! This was helpful given there is not much open in little Port Albert!

Could easily hear people talking in room next door. Good thing I brought my own food as not much on offer on a Monday night. Even Fish and Chips only open on weekend nights and during the day some week days.

A great location, right opposite the wharf and in the middle of town. Room was very spacious and well appointed with a coffee machine, lots of tea and coffee facilities and even some butter and vegemite :). Staff, even though offsite, were super helpful and welcoming.

The shower gel canister was empty. The bathroom is a bit old, but was clean.

Beds were very comfortable Shower head and water pressure was also awesome!

We got in late and only 1 food joint open for dinner. And nothing open early for breakfast. Room had tea coffee etc , toaster sandwich press, also some jams, vegemites but would of been nice if their was a loaf of bread to go with it, for being in a remote location and lack of stores. Shower floor needs to be re-tiled as it looked old and dirty and worn.

There is bbq facilities and fish n chips available very close. Great for a quick getaway for a weekend 😃 or a week. Down the road is Yarram which has a supermarket and plenty of op shops and cafes, With paintings in the town. Port Albert has a maratime museum which unfortunately this time around we didn't get to go to. There is some great walks in town to check out the great little fishing town it'self. Probably some great fishing too off the little piers(has five). Motel itself is small and adequate for how many people come through. Great wifi and DVD TVs and DVDs available if you just want to chill in the rooms. Not so sure about local taxi/s as I didn't use but heard a few stories. Can catch vline bus from Melbourne to Alberton and then either walk to port Albert for about 2 hours or find a local taxi service (no uber available). Great coffee at post office service station.

Maybe some extra shampoo and conditioner for the family rooms and sheets for bunks just incase a bunk bed is needed.

Very small town. While the motel is old it was very clean and good value for money. Very close to the water. Very quiet town. Very peaceful and only a step away from the water.

The shower floor was old but it was clean.

Several excellent qualities - the beds were firm and comfortable, the towels were lush and the water pressure excellent.

Being a motel, other visitors smoked outside their rooms, which then blew directly into our room. The manager kindly moved us down the other end, where fortunately no one else smoked.
