Stylish hotel in Soho, amazing location and really nice bar. Huge beds, very comfortable and decent size rooms for NYC!

Some of the rooms can be loud, depending on how close you are to the bar area. Quite an expesive hotel for what you get but that’s NYC for ya. Some of us thought the cleaners may have looked in/opened our suitcases while we were out, but we did not pursue this as nothing went missing.

The hotel is super cool, and located really well right at the edge of SoHo, as a bonus this is a hot spot for the locals where the bar and the club become quite the spot over the weekends. The staff is friendly, the design is cool and the location is great. Also, the bars and restaurants are great, albeit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for, which is great.

It is located next to a busy intersection, and the rooms are not isolated to the outside sound, which makes the rooms quite noisy, especially considering that new yorkers love to toot their horns!

The Soho Grand Hotel is truly excellent — easily one of the best options in New York. It’s perfect for both adults and younger travelers, located in one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods, right next to amazing shops and restaurants. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful — I especially loved the concierge service. The hotel has a great selection of spots to enjoy, including stylish restaurants, bars, and a very popular diner. Our room was super comfortable, with a cozy bed, a large TV, and a wonderful shower stocked with C.O. Bigelow amenities. We also really appreciated the housekeeping team, especially Nelli and Virginia, who were both warm and attentive. If you enjoy a lively atmosphere, this is the place to be — the hotel hosts parties and live music on the weekends, which adds to the charm. That said, none of this takes away from the comfort and quiet of the rooms. All in all, a fantastic stay — can’t wait to return!

A few small things could be improved: reaching reception by phone isn’t always easy, and it would be great to have the concierge desk on the ground floor staffed more frequently. The minibar could also offer a wider selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Some rooms may experience noise from nearby construction, but the hotel team is helpful and can usually assist with this.

Room was superb! Comfortable. Staff friendly. Great place.

At the suggestion of your staff while we had a beverage before going out for dinner, we were VERY much looking forward to listening to live jazz after. HOWEVER, even as a hotel guest, we were denied entrance by not so friendly doormen to the the venue .. What? Not cool. It's their loss.

Very comfortable, easy to move around, nice bar and excellent diner. We loved the location as we wanted to be close to Chinatown and Greenwich Village. Staff were, without exception, exceptionally friendly and polite, getting just the right tone. The concierge was happy to help us with guidance about travel and restaurants, staff were really friendly and chatty. When we discovered that we’d lost a phone in an Uber just as we were leaving for the airport, the hotel staff were very helpful and told us when the Uber driver had dropped it off and sorted out a way to get it back to us.

Just a little more light in the communal areas, as we get older our eyesight isn’t what it was!

The hotel is nice with charm and rooms are comfortable. Localization is very good if you want to stay in lower manhattan. Marcus at the reception is the best!

Be prepared for music events at the lobby.

We have stayed here many times. It is comfortable, chic, and well-located to transit and places of interest. The rooms are attractive and comfortable, and most important, quiet -- we never hear noise from other rooms. Staff were very kind and delivered us a complimentary bottle of wine (perhaps due to our long stay, perhaps because it was my birthday -- in any case, we felt special and appreciated the wine). One of our favorite things is the breakfast room (in the bar), which is elegant and beautiful; breakfast there is a wonderful way to start the day.

Room 726 needs a hook in the bathroom to hang the robe -- other rooms have had a hook but this room mysteriously is lacking it!

Staff are always delightful and a special mention goes to Jose and team at the front door. The SG is in a wonderful location with all of SoHo, Little Italy, Chinatown, Nolita and the West Village within easy walking distance. I love the beds and was grateful that we were able to change room to a North facing location (my preference). Interestingly, the bathroom amenities varied in the two rooms despite them being the same category (e.g. no vanity set in first room). Rooms are lacking an additional clothes hook in the hallway. If it's wet weather or a longer stay there just isn't enough hanging space.

Breakfast at the bistro is terrible. They just don't seem to be able to get it right. Service is generally slow and inconsistent (I had to ask 4 times for my croissant, by which time the coffee was finished), checks seem to take an age to be delivered, bacon was cremated and then replaced after the rest of the meal was finished. I would strongly recommend using the hotel bar (on the reception level) for breakfast. I've been staying at SG since it opened and what used to be a cool evening vibe has now turned into a scrum of mostly 'Just 21'ers' sipping on a cocktail to a very loud DJ. Yes I'm getting old but I'm still having fun...be aware that Thursday onwards there is no place for a quiet drink, it's essentially a club. And there is a club too! Double trouble.

My wife and I stayed at the Soho Grand when we travelled to New York for 2 nights (a total of 36 hours) in May. The Hotel is unbelievably well located and this is the main reason we chose to stay here. Rooms are very slick with all amenities included yet they are pretty small - I guess don't expect a huge room in NYC. I used the coffee bar which was perfect to grab a hot cup, some snacks and do some work. Make sure to check out the super cool diner on the street level - its AWESOME!!!

The hotel was quite pricy for the size of room but location is top class...

First of all I was warmly welcomed by the staff in the lobby, special thanks to Marcus which was super patient and lovely. The hotel is very clean and organized, the staff keep their space and work quietly without disturbing the guests. The room was super comfortable, big wardrobe, super big comfy bed. There is a desk for people who has laptobs, and awesome filled bar. Bathroom very spacious and clean, specially the lighting was perfect. Location is close to everything in Soho, also to metro station. Loved everything about this hotel. Would come back!

AC is a bit noisy, but I believe all NYC hotels has this issue. luckily I did not have to turn it on most of the time. Also, the hotel is a bit expensive in my opinion.
