We had the breakfast buffet, and it was delicious. Our servers were great. The exterior was decorated nicely for fall, and the lobby and restaurant were very nice. Our beds were comfortable. There was plenty of parking.

Our room was ok. There was a rip in the chair, a burn mark on table, and bathroom door had patchwork on it where someone busted a hole in it. We didnt complain because it didn't hurt us but might bother someone else. The walls seemed extra thin where you could hear everyone's conversations in rooms and hallway.

Staff was outstanding - the best part of our experience. Very helpful / accommodating.

Upper "Decision Makers": Time to upgrade your rooms! They're outdated... Signed documents at check-in about noise / "partying", but I guess it didn't apply to guests in room next to ours at 3:AM, having a fight, slamming things, and dropping "more than I could count" F*** Yous! Had to call security. Wedding celebration (I guess) one night, that had more fireworks than Times Square, occurred after 9PM, followed by a false fire alarm after 10PM that was probably set by a drunk attendee of the wedding party. Just a little disappointed in all that....

Bed was comfy. The room was nice and quiet. The restaurant food was good

When I made the reservation the site allowed me to put in a credit card (it was a business card because I was on a business trip) but when I checked in, the person behind the counter(who did not have the nicest personality) told me I have to have the physical card in order to use it. Which I can understand but then why allow me to input the information. Also when I checked out the person at counter didn’t want to give me a receipt because she said it would be on booking.com since the was where I did reservation.

had a junior suite very spacious room with very comfortable bedding we did have the breakfast buffet it was very good and a great value for the $16.95 nice selection

when we checked in we were given a room that was under repair we went up to the room and found it in a bit of a mess after a long day traveling I was not happy to have to go back to the front desk to be reassigned a new room . If a room is out of service the computer should block it and noyt allow the front desk to assign it

Hinton Garden Inns usually have a sparse gym and a similarly sparse bar and restaurant. Not this one, this one has a cabaret restaurant and very nice and large bar. The owners even visited our dining table on Saturday night. Not your usual HGI by any stretch.

No issues until my breakfast incident. Everything else was fine during my stay.

Breakfast. Chef didn’t clean off grill when making my eggs. Found bits of bacon and other pieces I didn’t recognize in my eggs. I do not eat pork so this was very disappointing. The eggs was also super oily. The server took the charge off for the eggs but I still had to pay $9 for 2 small pieces of French toast.

Our room had no vent in the bathroom had no bathtub, the furniture looked old and scratchy, also there was no papers to write on you know usually they leave little things on the desk for you to look at like telling you what time breakfast is and everything but I will say the bed was very very comfortable

The staff was very knowledgeable about location of attractions and the best places to eat

That the phone in the room did not work… I had to walk by the elevator to use the phone

The hotel was an absolute great! The service from the moment we arrived until we departed was exceptional. Located very conveniently close to the Cruise Port. My husband and I were leaving on a cruise and needed a one night stop-over. Unfortunately our flight was delayed and we did not get enough time to enjoy the beautiful gardens that evening. However, we certainly did during our next morning walk. I would also like to point out that the on-location restaurant Lorenzo"s Restaurant and Cabaret is a gem! They were nice enough to accommodate us for dinner, though we were one hour past our reservation time. Lovely piano music and delish food and excellent service. Hilton Garden Inn NY in Staten Island is a great stop prior to cruising!

Walls were paper thin. Either that or we just consistently had extremely noisy neighbors. This hotel is a venue for lots of parties, weddings, etc, so likely why it was very loud at night
