My check in person was a credit to her profession. I was checked in immediately and in my room within 15 minutes The rooms were clean and well situated Parking is ample and the sitting area in the Lobby adds a nice affect I love coming here and will continue in the future

I could not figure out how to turn on the shower I spoke with the Maintenance men and they said several other guests had the same problem They said the new fixtures are made by Delta and the trick to turning on the shower was to pull the ring under the faucet in the tub

It's in a safe location, with ample free parking, and is a 25 minute drive from the Stanton Island Ferry. The hotel is immaculately clean overall and the room was very modern with a good TV and shower. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was absolutely superb with a great selection of food and a chef who cooked delicious omelettes and any type of egg you wanted, it really set us up for the day.

If I'm being really picky, a water bottle filling station, they only had a fountain which was tricky to fill water bottles up with.

I Had to wait for front desk to stop answering phones to get checked in. Suggest back up answering system so they can greet guest and check them in. Parking, many events going on the weekend we stayed hard to park. Suggest holding an area of parking for hotel guest only. Breakfast was expensive for what was offered and the coffee horrible. Hotel Managers need to be cautious of conversations and talking about their employees work ethics in front of guest.

We had the breakfast buffet, and it was delicious. Our servers were great. The exterior was decorated nicely for fall, and the lobby and restaurant were very nice. Our beds were comfortable. There was plenty of parking.

Our room was ok. There was a rip in the chair, a burn mark on table, and bathroom door had patchwork on it where someone busted a hole in it. We didnt complain because it didn't hurt us but might bother someone else. The walls seemed extra thin where you could hear everyone's conversations in rooms and hallway.

Staff was outstanding - the best part of our experience. Very helpful / accommodating.

Upper "Decision Makers": Time to upgrade your rooms! They're outdated... Signed documents at check-in about noise / "partying", but I guess it didn't apply to guests in room next to ours at 3:AM, having a fight, slamming things, and dropping "more than I could count" F*** Yous! Had to call security. Wedding celebration (I guess) one night, that had more fireworks than Times Square, occurred after 9PM, followed by a false fire alarm after 10PM that was probably set by a drunk attendee of the wedding party. Just a little disappointed in all that....

Bed was comfy. The room was nice and quiet. The restaurant food was good

When I made the reservation the site allowed me to put in a credit card (it was a business card because I was on a business trip) but when I checked in, the person behind the counter(who did not have the nicest personality) told me I have to have the physical card in order to use it. Which I can understand but then why allow me to input the information. Also when I checked out the person at counter didn’t want to give me a receipt because she said it would be on booking.com since the was where I did reservation.

had a junior suite very spacious room with very comfortable bedding we did have the breakfast buffet it was very good and a great value for the $16.95 nice selection

when we checked in we were given a room that was under repair we went up to the room and found it in a bit of a mess after a long day traveling I was not happy to have to go back to the front desk to be reassigned a new room . If a room is out of service the computer should block it and noyt allow the front desk to assign it

The location is in a safe area. There is a bus stop near the hotel that can take you to the ferry. The hotel is clean

Please note that you need a physical card for payment of both the accommodation cost and the deposit. I didn’t like this about this hotel. But every other thing was fine

this is out 5th time staying at this property so convenient to the highway we travel to NYC Brooklyn and New Jersey, and it is a quick shot to all of these locations / The staff is the friendliest from the front desk to bartenders to servers and cleaning people all have a smile and something kind to say. The rooms are immaculate

Hinton Garden Inns usually have a sparse gym and a similarly sparse bar and restaurant. Not this one, this one has a cabaret restaurant and very nice and large bar. The owners even visited our dining table on Saturday night. Not your usual HGI by any stretch.
