The resort is beautifully presented and overlooks the beach, it is built to match the outback nature of Exmouth and I think would be considered the best place to stay in Exmouth. We used the restaurant a couple of times and the food was excellent, with a choice between a full al la carte menu and a more tapas style menu, each were great. The pool area also exceeded expectations and was wonderful to cool down after a day out exploring.

I mistakenly thought I had booked a room overlooking the pool/beach area but in fact had booked a one bedroom apartment which was only available in one of the rear blocks. Sadly we were unable to move rooms so we did not wake up to the stunning overwater sunrise each day. Be sure of which room type you are booking. Also it is probably best to hire a car to collect at the airport as there is only 1 taxi in town and the airport bus is expensive, so you may as well just hire a car from the start, I wish we had been advised prior.

Beautiful big rooms that were comfortable and clean with high quality linen/towels & plentiful bathroom shampoo/body wash etc. the 1 bed apartment was really well equipped with all the items you require to enable self catering. The house keeping team did a great job keeping everywhere sand free!

There were 2 small bottles of water in the fridge when we arrived and when it wasn’t replaced on the 2nd day i rang reception to ask if we could have some more & was politely informed that if I’d like more i could purchase it from the bar. When paying over $500 a night we found this very petty (particularly having worked for a soft drink company for 10 years knowing ‘expensive’ branded water costs less than $1 a bottle).

We really liked this resort - a lovely pool area and views out to the beach. Easy access to the beach allowed for walks along it. We had one dinner and one buffet breakfast at the resort and both were excellent. A little pricey but to be expected due to remoteness of the area. The resort is about 5 kms from the town centre which we walked one way once and then caught the complimentary shuttle back to the resort. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Only downside was the very noisy air conditioning unit in our room. There was no ceiling fan so it was a choice of the aircon or leaving the doors open. It was nicer listening to the waves on the beach 😉

The resort was lovely. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. Felt fancy but had a lovely relaxed vibe. The pool was warm and the kids loved it. We went to the restaurant for dinner one night and had the degustation which was delicious. Staff were very friendly. Everything was very clean and access to the laundry was very useful.

Ran out of a few tap beers while we were there/before we arrived and stayed they weren’t getting any in as they were about to change ownership (which we weren’t advised on). Very difficult to get pool side orders (had to go to the bar to order rather than initiate order at pool side). Timing for the food poolside finished too early (would have been nice to order the kids some chips in the late afternoon but closed at 3pm). Parking wasn’t designated to your specific apartment so we had to park far away from our room on multiple occasions due to other cars being in our allocated area.

Upgraded on arrival from marina view 1 bed apartment to beach view 2 bedroom apartment... which was great as we were there to celebrate my birthday! When they found that out, they put a bottle of sparkling in our fridge on my birthday and 2 free drink vouchers at the bar. The meal we had in the restaurant on my birthday was superb. All the staff we experienced were super lovely and helpful, and very professional and efficient. The enormous, well-equipped room was made up to a high standard both at the start of our trip and upon each day's service.

The beds are a little hard, but I'm being picky. The pool temperature is definitely too high, and I don't think that is from the ambient temperature... I think it is over-heated?

The location overlooking the beach is very nice. The bungalow was very big and clean, with a nice terrace for breakfast. There is water, tea and coffe complimentary and the restaurant was nice. Big parking also in front of the bungalow. Comfy bed and air conditioning.

The room was very bright in the morning as the curtains do let quite some light in. The towels had some stains although clean. We did not like the bathroom layout as it is quite open and not very private so you can hear every sound.

The location was great, right on the beach and with a great outlook over the ocean. The spa bath in the room was perfect for winding down after the day’s activities.

The bed was a little firm for our liking and it would have been great if there had been a range of pillow types. All the pillows were firm and high.

Free guest laundry was a bonus Room very comfy

Sheer loungeroom curtain hadnt been cleaned for some time. Water was shutoff to the room and entire block without the being advised in advance which showed the Management and maintenance dont really understand how the building is built and management and maintenance workers need retraining. Reception staff when contacted on the water isssue were not aware of the issue and after an hour were none the wiser. I draw attention to poor communication and planning including Reception training and awareness. Gym needs improvement as its mainly a first aid room.

The room we were in was spacious and well equipped. It was on the ground floor and had a porch area that was very comfortable to sit at for meals. The restaurant food was very good although we only ate there once, preferring to cook our own meals in the well-equipped kitchen. Cocktails by the pool in the evening were relaxing and well made, and the beach was at our doorstep. The pool is large with comfortable and well maintained lounges and pods to spend time on/in. We were around the pool which made everything very accessible and the staff were all great.

A couple of minor annoyances for such a well equipped and premium place. (1) when we arrived, there was a loud hum from the pool pump shed which was sufficiently annoying that we would have asked to be moved (if possible) - it was fixed the next day (guessing a pump had lost its prime), but it was not a good start and perhaps we should have been told at check in that there was a problem and it will be fixed (2) these days, having power points or USB charging points beside the bed (on both sides) is almost a requirement - there was a sort of extension cord/power board on my side and a digital clock with a wireless charging pad on my wife's side, but they really felt like an afterthought.

+ comfortable beds + great AC + gym and pool facilities were very good + staff were phenomenal + shuttle bus was super handy (though recommend hiring a car, we had to do this last minute as we realised flexibility was limited for dinner options as bus stops at 3.30. We also wanted to explore beaches - which is a MUST in this area) Other recommendations for February trip: * see baby turtles hatching, park at Five Mile Beach Access. Enter beach from 5.30pm, walk to the right and wait patiently for the magic to happen! Keep an eye out for seagulls swooping. * snorkel hire from the hire shop next to bamboo - $15 for 24hr hire * hit up oyster stacks and osprey bay (turtles) for snorkelling, and turquoise bay for gorgeous beach views.

- food was lovely but portion sizes were so big, for us it would be better to have smaller portions for lower price
