Hotel has a great location overlooking the Rhine on top of a hill in the older part of town - easy to walk down to the area with shops, restaurants etc but much harder to walk back up. If you do walk back up there's a lovely bar overlooking the Rhine about halfway up the hill. Parked directly outside hotel and also has underground parking Our room was huge and had a view of the Rhine. Just across from the hotel is a garden run by volunteers which is full of herbs etc and has great views over the surrounding areas. We had dinner in the restaurant - good menu / reasonably priced. Unfortunately the small bar was closed during our stay so we had a drink after dinner in the lobby. Excellent breakfast and lovely to sit outside afterwards and enjoy the view

Some staff are helpful but some could be more customer focused.

Friendly staff, room was clean and has a nice view. Didn't have much time to explore the hotel facilities but I like the layout with half floors and the lobby is nice and spacious.

Room door was a bit too heavy for me, it was tricky to hold the door and push the heavy luggage through it. Also the furniture would need a bit of renovation but everything was functional and clean.

Very clean and very pleasant personnel. Fantastic breakfast. Cosy bar. The rooms were well heated.

Pity it wasn’t possible to have an evening meal one day, as we weren’t half-board guests. Which was confusing as there wasn’t a lot of guests staying in the hotel.

We ve been here 3 times, we love the place, the atmosphere, the terrace, the wellness, the friendly staff, the service, everything !

One can tell it is an old hotel, and that it needs a few new things. Like new carpet in the restaurant, or no carpet at all. Or new chairs for the terrace. The fan in our room didn't work.

Beautiful hotel in upper town overlooking the Rhine. Easy free parking outside. We ate dinner in the hotel and it was excellent as was the service. There is a lovely bar in the hotel where we had drinks after dinner rather than go down into the lower town. Room very spacious with view of the church to one side and Rhine on the other. Excellent breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay. The area around the hotel is lovely, opposite the church with fantastic views over the river, town and surrounding country side

Nothing but be aware hotel in upper town, basically on top of a small hill - walking down to where shops, restaurants etc are is easy but very steep coming back up which might be an issue for those with mobility issues. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived (we were early) and we went down into town for lunch - Receptionist said to leave our bags outside reception desk - would have preferred if a luggage room available or taken in behind Reception desk.

The restaurant was exceptional. The wait staff was attentive. The food was phenomenal! Both dinner and breakfast were delicious! - The hotel location was perfect! I would definitely stay there again!!!

Awesome location. Beautiful view of the Rhine river from the room we booked. In the heart of the alt-stadt and close to shops and restaurants. Will definitely return for a longer stay.

Fantastic location on the cliff top overlooking the river. Nice 70ies architecture with a certain The Shining vibe, in a good sense. Restaurant with the same great view as the room.

The dinner staff at the restaurant seemed inexperienced and made a few mistakes (all other staff were great). Dinner menu could be better. No air-conditioning.
