Cozy rooms, nice location, the spa was nice, family friendly, fantastic breakfast.

The staff was friendly except of one lady at the breakfast hall who she was making so much noise on purpose while she was agresively cleaning the tables and she was friendly with visitors who were speaking italian but not whit the foreigners. Specifically the first morning we had breakfast there we did not know that we shoukd wait for the waitress to come and ask us if we want coffee, so at some point i asked her if i can order a cappucino and she told me that i should wait and she will come. You could see that she was not so happy that i ordered and from that moment on she was not friendly or polite at all in comparison to the other staff that they were smiling and greeting us.

What's there not to like? From our welcoming check-in at the reception, great selection for breakfast, the thermal waters experience and so much more, this hotel offers such an unforgettable sojourn. Jessica, Emanuela and Elena were very attentive to guests throughout breakfast. But the stars of this wonderful stay in the Valpolicella region are the wines made by Family Tommasi. Complementing the unforgettable wine tasting experiences is the amazing Cesare, who lives and breathes wine. Paolo also. They're great assets to this hotel. And last but not least, our compliments to Executive Chef Stefano and his team at Borgo Antico restaurant within the hotel, who executed a Michelin star dinner and experience. We'll definitely be returning!

Villa Quaranta Tommasi Wine Hotel and SPA takes its name from the Verona noble family “Quaranta” and is a complex of buildings ranging from the core 1667 renovated baroque Venetian Villa (with its renowned “Zar Lobby”, “Angels Loggia” and “Arts Lobby” with a plaque recalling Emperor Alexander I of Russia who stayed in the palace when he was in Verona in 1822 for the Congress of the Holy Alliance) now home to the Wine Spectator awarded “Borgo Antico Restaurant”, to the 1218 Romanesque medieval church of S. Maria dell’Ospedale (already mentioned as “hospicium” in 1141) and again to a brand-new modern 4-star hotel with 79 rooms, a Thermal Wellness Centre with 2500 sqm of Thermal Swimming Pools, Sauna Thermarium Area, Fitness Area, Beauty Centre offering Wine therapy and a Business Convention Centre. Tommasi historic winemakers Veronese family owns this jewel located in front of a 1700s horse stable in the heart of “Valpolicella”, the most famous red wine district in northeastern Italy's Veneto wine region (7,844 hectares; 152,140 hectolitres of wine produced with “Corvina”, “Corvinone”, “Rondinella”, “Molinara” grape varieties), strategically located between the wonderful romantic city of Verona and the charming warm Like Garda. I come from Verona but living abroad I usually ended up to Villa Quaranta for celebrations like Christmas lunch but never had the opportunity to stay overnight. Eventually bringing along my girlfriend I decided to have a 3 nights, 4 days stay at the Villa. We chose an artisanal furniture Deluxe Double 546.25€ room which we then changed for a more modern Double Superior at the same price. The personnel was extremely kind and caring about providing the best relax experience to the guests. Every room comes with bathrobe and bracelets for Spa treatments. 10/10 loved it!

While eating at Borgo Antico Restaurant you could hear loudly the wedding party at the nearby villa gardens. I personally did not find it a problem but I expect some guests might prefer a romantic quiet dinner there.

I would say that I liked many things starting from the staff courtesy at the reception through the indoor swimming pool open to all ages, and the silent and clean room, finishing at the staff courtesy of the restaurant.

Because of an event in the cellar, although we were villa's guests we could not eat either at the "winery" or have a wine tasting. It was a pity! However we eat at the restaurant that was a good experience as well.

Great pool area, pool is huge, numerous sunbeds, available staff Great staff, helpful, professional and friendly Perfect for us. 3 days walking around in intense Verona summer heat, relaxing in the pool end of afternoon, having a nice dinner at the hotel restaurant, sleeping well in a very calm room.

Generally we were very pleased with the hotel. The restaurant is exceptional and the atmosphere is high class.

We were very disappointed to discover that for such a noble establishment the hotel swimming pool had the atmosphere of a public swimming baths. The pool is available to the general public at a fee, meaning on warm days it is very full and there are plenty of children. We went to breakfast at 10am, just following a coach party of American guests. The staff were clearly struggling to both tidy up and keep the buffet in order.

The hotel was beautiful, the staff very helpful and had great English. Always willing to help. The facilities were first class and food and the Bodegas with the wine tasting and degustation menu delicious. the location between Verona and Lake Garda was also perfect for discovering the area.

Nothing except our room looked out onto a building site, however we weren't in the room, except for sleeping, so not really an issue.

Great location for those with a car - fantastic proximity to Lake Garda, Verona and plentitude of wineries. Excellent place for wine lovers with 1000+ labels in their menu

Mandatory swimming cap for pool. Some non-functional Items in the room (a/c and tv). Repaired later based on customer activity.

Staff was amazing and very helpful. Thanks a lot for receptionists who were very welcoming and helped with the wine tasting and tours. They made a trip much more easy!
