Lovely olde world hotel built in the 1870s with a lot of the original floors and features retained . I booked a single room and was pleasantly surprised to be given a choice of double rooms :)

An extension plug that allows for the fridge, microwave and kettle to be plugged in at once - even if they can't be used at once.

The warm and kind welcome. The staff so friendly and helpful. The owner is was so accommodating (my daughter had to join us on our first night unexpectedly and she assisted hassle-free) The meals are to die for, fresh warm served with a smile. Sitting on the porch watching the sun dissappear behind the mountains is an experience you cannot explain. Indeed... Viewing the mountains at mountain view ⛰️

A guest was a bit rude/difficult with a staff member... But he did admit that he is a difficult person - "even my wife says I'm difficult" he said.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Mountain View Country Inn. Clean comfortable rooms. Breakfast and dinner was very good. The perfect stopover on our way home and to do some exploring of the area.

If you’ve been to Clarens before, and like an antique setup, this is one place you must add to your bucket list. Viewing that mountain first thing in the morning was priceless.

I so much wish that the investors could turn Lady Grey into a tourist town that will come alive every weekend. Lady Grey has got potential.

A lovely nostalgic Inn. A majestic rich history well kept and clean. From the creaking floor boards to high pressed ceilings this Inn is quant, quite and welcoming.

luvly old building, with period furniture and stunning views across to the mountains. I had a beautiful comfy room (downstairs facing the garden)

add-on en-suite bathrooms/showers on some of the rooms are a little crude and don’t fit with the period elegance of the rest of the building

The staff were super friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and the food at the restaurant was also good.

The fact that you can get access to go out at night and get back anytime you want to as you're given a key to the entrance. The food is very nice and affordable. The staff are very friendly.

Absolutely fantastic, Lovely and fresh. The diner for breakfast was fabulous aa was the Dinning room where we had a lovely homely meal.
