This place is amazing! Everything from staff to slippers exceeded expectations. We parked our car in the hotel lot in town and the hotel sent a little 3 wheeled car to come and get us. It was pure magic from then on! We zipped through the narrow, winding, streets breathing in all the beauty. The young woman at the front desk greeted us in English and made us immediately feel welcome. She had a fun sense of humor and was helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast included with the room is FANTASTIC. We felt like Queens. My sister and I giggled at how fancy it looked but it tasted even better! The hotel restaurant over the water is beautiful and the food was good. The staff is like a family. They work well together and they're hard workers. Always busy, always bustling about. They were attentive, friendly, professional, and kind. We absolutely loved our stay here and have already recommended it to friends!

Our room was very spacious and the view was amazing. We opened the balcony doors and the sound of the waves was mesmerizing. The bathroom also had a window that could be opened with more amazing views. We had fresh towels everyday and our room was cleaned. We left our car in the private parking lot most days but when we needed it Giovanni would happily drive us. The restaurant was delicious and the service was outstanding. Breakfast was plentiful with meat selections and fresh pastries, fruit yogurt and they will make you eggs if you like. Great stay!!! Highly recommend.

Everything was perfect. The location and views are stunning. Unspoilt authentic Italy. Spotlessly clean boutique hotel with a fabulous breakfast, restaurant and really friendly staff who make you welcome. Would highly recommend to anyone. The trains and buses are really easy to navigate (bus driver was waiting outside the airport and directed us on how to use tickets) and the Trenitalia app for the trains is a breeze to use. Wished we had longer in Calabria as would have opted to travel further up the coast. Will definitely return to the area.

Nothing - it’s perfect!

Scilla is one of those magical places where no matter where you look, everything is stunning. The hotel was amazing, and the view from our balcony honestly took our breath away. Listening to the waves crashing against the rocks felt like the sea was singing to us the whole time — it was pure poetry. I completely fell in love with this place. Breakfast was out of this world, and we savored every single moment of our stay. The staff were kind and helpful, always making us feel welcome and cared for.

This place is amazing! We had a balcony room that looked out over the ocean and the waves crashing right below you! It was so peaceful and absolutely gorgeous! The restaurant in the hotel is very good and the staff is amazing! Gina our breakfast hostess and room maid was so friendly and helpful! She made our stay very welcoming and comfortable! We definitely will be back!

The only draw back is if you come by car, there's no parking near by. Otherwise this place is perfect!

We stayed one night on our journey from Lamezia to Sicily. A perfect location to stop if this is your itinerary. The hotel is located right in the middle of a quaint street. We parked at the lot assigned and someone came to pick us up and drive us - great service. Breakfast was amazing and served true Calabrese treats. Room was comfortable with a beautiful window looking out to the sea. Staff was friendly - would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a great stay in Scilla old town at il Casate. The room was just as described and right at the water's edge with incomparable sea views. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, I think this was the most comfortable bed I've slept in for a while. Breakfast was also great, very generous. We used their parking facilities which cost 15 Euro per day and included the trip by shuttle as the parking is a bit far off from the accommodation which is in a limited traffic area. Will be very happy to stay here again

Absolutely lovely. Getting to the hotel is a bit of a challenge but our stay there couldn’t have been any more wonderful. We really enjoyed our time in Scilla!

The stairs to the upper floors (1st to 2nd) don’t have a hand railing that goes the length of the stairs and the stairs become angled at the top, which makes things challenging to climb until you get used to it. Go slowly and take care.

Everything, it’s just amazing The clean rooms, location in scilla’s mainstreet close to everything. Private parking space with hassle free shuttlebus to the location for 15 euro a day. Nice staff and good breakfast, not overwhelming but just good and if you have special wishes you can ask for it and the staff is ready to fulfill your needs. Thank you so much , I think you can’t get a more luxurious B&B in Scilla

It is my second time in Il Casato and I am as delighted as I was the first time. I just love this place - the location is beyond anything, personnel is friendly, rooms are comfy and food in the hotel restaurant is divine. There is nothing I would change about this place. Hopefully, I will be back there for a 3rd time!
