Our stay at Maison Carree in Andilana, Nosy Be, was fantastic and truly great value for money! The location is ideal, with easy access to stunning sites like Lokobe Reserve and Mount Passot. The spacious, comfortable rooms with private bathrooms and thoughtful amenities made us feel right at home. One of the highlights was the live international music performances, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. The hotel hosts these music nights with songs in multiple languages like French, English, Spanish, Malagasy, and Italian. So there’s something for everyone. Guests can even get up and dance, adding to the lively, fun experience that makes the evenings extra special. The restaurant was also amazing, serving a delicious variety of foods at reasonable prices. We especially enjoyed the pizzas and hamburgers with crispy frites, along with options like fresh fish and tender meats. The daily breakfast was a great start to our mornings. The owner, Eric, is an incredible host who speaks fluent French and English, making it easy for guests from various backgrounds to communicate. He is always willing to help and offer advice on the best places to visit. He even assisted with our car rental, adding extra convenience to our stay. The hotel’s generator ensures essential amenities like Wi-Fi, lights, and fans stay on during power outages. Maison Carree offers a wonderful mix of comfort, service, and value, with the bonus of vibrant, multilingual live music and delicious food options. Highly recommended for an affordable yet unforgettable stay in Nosy Be!

One minor downside during our stay was the presence of mosquitoes, especially in the evenings. Mosquitoes are everywhere on the island, so it’s something travelers should be prepared for. The hotel provides nets and repellents to help, but given the tropical setting, it’s unavoidable. It’s a small thing to keep in mind, though it didn’t take away from the overall experience.

sometimes there was a water shortage in the shower in the room, the menu could have included more dishes, the breakfast could have had more fruit... but nothing major... we were satisfied;)

A very cosy place with a nice pool and restaurant. The owner Eric and staff were super friendly and helpful, with recommendations and excursions (helping out with booking tuk-tuks, etc.). Great and safe location within walking distance to Andilana beach.

The room had an AC and a mosquito net but bring all other essentials not included in the room description. The room could have been more equipped (shower gel, shampoo, hair dryer, etc.).

The breakfast was great, the « Mokarabia coffee »smelt good and the taste was amazing . If you are looking for a tasty and garnished pizza I would recommend Maison Carré in Andilana. That was really delicious …Most of the meals in the menu are just incredibly thoughtful and tasty.

I would not recommend the « plain rice »as an accompaniment for the meal. Low quality of rice.

Beautifully designed place with a gorgeous pool and generous dining area. The most delicious food in Madagascar! Big and spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Great owner. 10 mins walking to the beach. Fantastic price.

The breakfast was very good. The owner Erik, very professional. Within the apartment there are nice swimming pool. It is maximum 10 minutes by walk to wonderful beach Andilan.

Everything was ok, we had a great time at Maison Caree. The food was amazing!
