Perfect setting, Our 3rd time back at this lodge, Staff really friendly and the gamedrives were spectacular.Perfect location.

Food was not up to standard initially. Cold food was served (although it was in the middle of the winter, but not nice getting served cold soup and vegetables. Also no hot /warm desert was on offer as an option ...only fruits and sorbets(it's winter so come-on). We addressed the issue with management and the new managers of the lodge, Steven and Gilda, who only took over a week before, really took our complaints to heart and henceforth the food was served on warm plates, with delicious options. The lodge will do well with them as managers, as their commitment and passion shone through.

Property was close to the gate where we parked. Usually takes 40 minutes in the game viewing vehicle to get to the other lodges. It took around 10 minutes and roads are in better condition. Lodge was not overcrowded. Lots of privacy to appreciate the natural surroundings in your own time. The rooms were better than expected. Staff were courteous and eager to make our stay better. Food was excellent and we could not have asked for more. Got to see the big 5 thanks to our guide Janelle. Hot water bottles and ponchos for the morning game drives was a nice touch.

We were so warmly welcomed by The managers Gilda & Steve, pampered from the moment we entered. Private dedicated butlers morning/ afternoon/ evening. Gorgeous fine dining. Private picnics. Drinks flowing. It’s such an exclusive place filled with love and inclusivity. We had 2 private lodges to soak in the ambience at our own pace. Everything was bespoke and tailored. A real happy place. A must visit. Our Game Tour guide, @jaundre_wildphotography was the best, taking us on 5 game drives during our stay, always going above and beyond for us to see the Big 5. A real gem. Touching distance from the animals. This is by the far best place to see wild Africa in its most natural and unspoilt state. A bonus astronomy microteach on the helipad by Steven was superb. 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦

From the moment you arrive, the service is just exceptional. Steve and Gilda are absolute gems and gave us a lovely warm welcome. Chantal was absolutely amazing and made sure we were well taken care of the entire weekend. The rooms are very spacious with so many seating places to relax and enjoy the beautiful views. From flowing drinks the entire weekend from our butlers to delicious meals prepared throughout the day and thanks to Tyrone for the lovely game drives where we got to see Lions ,lots of Rhino’s and other game, he is really passionate about his work and very entertaining. Clifftop is definitely a must visit, I cannot wait to go back again. Thank you to everyone at Clifftop for making our weekend so memorable.

Absolutely every detail is taken care of. Luxury in a breath taking environment. Delicious food prepared with love by a dedicated chef. Wonderful selection of South African wines included. The rooms even have the special coffee maker with pods..such an unexpected detail. The staff are exceptionally friendly and highly trained..from the game guide to the personal butler. We would highly recommend this venue and hope to return for a visit in the very near future.

We had the most friendly and efficient butler, Sello, went the extra mile to ensure we had a memorable stay. The place is beautiful. However, they need to do touch ups to the property, repainting is needed on the walls... so a bit of maintenance work is a MUST. The food didn't meet up to the 5 star level, very disappointing.

The friendly staff for welcoming us and making our stay easy. The restaurant stuff, Lucia for making our room romantic as we were celebrating wedding anniversary. Our guide Mr Mojela for driving us with passion and ensuring us that we have the best safari experience. The passion and knowledge he has with animals made us look forward to all the game drives.

Beautiful location and magical serenity. Elegant but at the same time casual and friendly. Wonderful staff. And then there is the wildlife!

Cold due to an extra cold winter front. The lodge does the best to keep you warm in those circumstances but a place like this is clearly built for warm weather.

The location and views are simply fantastic and service from Patric was just exceptional. Btw book unit 1 if you want the swing chair!!

I think the food at lodge could do with some improvement, very fancy named soups but it all seemed like was just "trying too hard", also not sure a mince and coleslaw between a bun made a great sloppy joe. I think the water system is from a septic tank so shower was fine but bath would not be as clear.

An absolutely beautiful lodge set, as the name suggests, on a clifftop with the most beautiful view, and overlooking a river. The food was delicious, our game ranger knowledgeable and friendly. The other staff, from the cleaners to the waiters to the chef, were exceptional, friendly, and so welcoming. The lodge arranged a special dinner for us on the night of our wedding anniversary, which was wonderful and so appreciated.

Everything was exceptional. No complaints at all.
