The team at Kwafubesi were absolutely amazing. MJ, Nakita, Johannes, Margret, Elliot and Anna made our stay unforgettable. MJ spent endless hours answering all sorts of questions about the animals, Forna and flora. Nakita made sure we had everything we needed and booked all experiences. Johannes and Anna made exceptional meals even with are long lists or allergies and intolerances we have. Margret and Elliot kept everything spotless which is super hard in the bush. Our tents were a pleasure to be in. Always clean and tidy. Overall one of our best family holidays. Thank you 🙏

The baths and showers need some attention.

The Food was AMAZING Especially Johannes, he made the BEST food on Friday night!! 🤩🤩 it was so peaceful and seeing the whole pride of Lions was the Highlight of the Trip, thanks to Ethan for going above and beyond on our game drives!😁

The communication from the Staff could be improved a little, as we were unaware of the guided safari walks, but we were informed of other activities 😊 other than that the staff were very polite and wonderful 😁 Maybe also spray the rooms when closing the curtains with a bit of room spray to keep some bugs out, but the ambiance was amazing 🤩

The rooms are simultaneously rustic and romantic. The food was divine, particularly the oxtail. The game rangers were knowledgeable & friendly.

I would have appreciated staff asking me if I wanted the continental breakfast before it was served to me, especially since a hot breakfast is served after. A buffet for continental would be better. South Africans are known to enjoy a drink or two, and with it being all inclusive it would have been great to have access to a wider variety of drinks from the mini fridge. For the most part because staff were often not around to take orders. An ice machine wouldn’t go amiss either.

This was our second visit to Kwafubesi and it did not disappoint. The tent was comfortable, staff helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed all the game drives. Hope to make a return visit again one day.

There was little time between the final morning game drive and the required check out time so we were unable to shower and change, as we had hoped to, before leaving for our 2+ hour drive to Johannesburg.

We had the best couple of days at Kwafubesi. The location and tents were very luxurious and comfortable- loved the outdoor shower. We enjoyed lounging by the pool inbetween game drives. The food was outstanding and every staff member we interacted with was very friendly and professional. We had Vincent as our guide who really made our trip- he was so knowledgeable about the game and reserve and brought a great energy and humor to our rides. Loved the drinks stops on our game drives. Would highly recommend this intimate experience.

The campsite was lovely. The lodge area, the poolside and fire pit areas all looked lovely and inviting. The tents were spacious, comfortable and really sturdy! We had very strong electrical storms 2 nights we were there, but we woke safe and dry. All the staff at camp were kind and attentive. The food and drinks were top notch, you will not go hungry servings were generous! Vincent our guide was very knowledgeable and personable. He guided us to see wonderful wildlife and he knows a lot about plants too, which was very interesting to learn about. The camp is really in the bush, it is lovely and quiet, the night sky is spectacular. I loved the exclusive feel. There are only 5 tents. We only ever shared the camp with one other party.

Before my stay, when I had questions, it was very hard to get into contact with anyone. I had a request that was agreed upon before the stay, but it was not carried out on arrival. So I feel there is a disconnect in communication between those that answer the emails/messages from bookings and the camp manager. And a suggestion, I would have liked a board or something that tells us information, like the plans for the day, what time are the drives, what the food will be for the day, the other experiences we can book. Also perhaps a menu, drinks list for the down times.

The environment was very relaxing, and felt exclusive. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The rides with Vincent were a big highlight, The boma was a good touch to the experience, loved the spread of braai meat 😍🤭. The tent were luxurious if I might add , and the outside shower was something I wished we could take back home with us. We have stayed at the main lodge before and it tends to be so busy with many guests booked in , but Kwafubesi was different and intimate , we ended up getting to know the other guests from the other tents too through time spend during the game drives and meal times .

This is an amazing place!! If you're looking for somewhere that delivers an authentic safari without having to drive the 6hr minimum trip from Joberg to Kruger, Kwafubesi is the place. Only 2.5hrs north of OL Tambo airport & then a 20min transfer from the main Mabula lodge, you arrive at the camp which has only 5 All inclusive secluded luxury 'Tents'. (Elevated residencies with a bath, alfresco shower & the biggest bed you will ever have the pleasure of sleeping in out in the bush) Can't praise it high enough, we had the most wonderful time. The sound of the bush at night is amazing! Don't think you could recreate a better 'Out of Africa' experience - it's exactly the type of special birthday trip we were hoping for. Our guide Vincent took us on two brilliant game drives each day - early morning before breakfast & late afternoon before dinner. In between you simply enjoy the tranquility, superb food & drinks. Belissimo!

I loved the attention to detail and how the staff were constantly there for us, very friendly and incredibly helpful. The game drives were truly out of this world. I've traveled both near and far in the africa and have the pleasure of going on many game drives. Vincent is by far knowledgeable, well resources and is literally one with nature. Each game drive had a plan, a moment to learn about animals, plants and trees and how they work in the eco system such a humble soul with a love for the nature that literally springs out of him with every discussion we had with him. Definitely going back with friends and family

The spa at Mabula is outdated and needs refurbishment. Maybe Kwafubesi should consider doing a spa treatment service in the bush

Small & intimate. Personal and attention to detail. Felt really looked after by the fab team- Jerry, Vincent, Johannes, Jack, Catherine & Nicole. Nothing was too much trouble...went the extra mile to make my son's birthday special with yummy chocolate cake. Big thank you to you all.

Tents were fun but bed was very squeaky and the wooden posts at end of bed not tall-person friendly. Some bug spray in tent would have been appreciated as we were bombarded with bugs all night. The safe was not working.
