I loved the way the rooms are done, they are really clean and comfortable and you manage to forget about the world and the worries. I loved the breakfast and the supper.

I was thinking the spa treatment comes with the fee I paid, and the website should explain well that what are extras in detail as I didn't notice that for the Spa i must pay extra R600, for me that was a bit dissatisfying. There should be a combo that comes with the Spa treatment because i wanted it but due to extra cash i could not use it. Alcohol is overpriced as well. The road used to come to the place is really BAD, needs to be fixed because it's like a 30 minutes' drive from the tar road.

This can be such an amazing place to come to. Everyone was friendly and although they were only a few staff members everything seemed to work and everyone knew what they had to do. The room was very clean and luxurious and the food was delicious. Thank you for everyone 's hard work to run this lodge without any problems.

Everything was a little bit too pricey. You may not bring your own snacks or drinks but the prices for drinks are a bit steep. The game drive was not worth the money paid. If I knew that I couldn't self drive I wouldn't have gone there. Where are all the animals? This was really disappointing

Staying at Ditholo was a mixed bag, a start that had me nearly running and an end that makes me excited to go back and see how it has improved. Arriving there we were immediately greeted by friendly staff but facilities that did not match what was advertised. We arrived around 3pm and wanted to get a snack to tie us over till supper, but unfortunately due to the bread truck breaking down and the kitchen already preparing for supper we were not able to get anything to eat. Supper was served at 7 and quickly made up for missing lunch, it was truly amazing and set the stage for all meals at Ditholo. By 12 the next day, with stock shortages, facilities in need of maintenance and lack of entertainment (unfortunately DSTV was not available during our stay only OpenView but this is planned to change in the near future), I was ready to end our 3 nights' stay early and book elsewhere. Our whole experience was completely turned around by the staff and especially management. Chatting to the staff it became apparent that they are fully aware of their shortcomings and are actively working to get Ditholo back to the standard that is expected. Management was newly appointed, with only a short time between being appointed and the December rush not much could be done in the short space of time, but with the little knowledge we now had we were quick to notice that there were in fact progress made and I'm excited to see where this can go. Noticing that we, and other guests were not happy, they went above and beyond to provide us with the best experience possible. Their friendliness, willingness to assist in every way and providing us with some really memorable experiences, made this a getaway that I won't forget quickly.

Due to torrential rains the roads in and out of Ditholo was in really bad shape and it is not advisable for small vehicles, we were luckily in a Ford Ranger but it still required careful driving for navigate the 12km from the main road to the lodge. The facilities are in desperate need of maintenance and the lack of DSTV was problematic for those of use that don't sleep much.

Their food was delicious, hands off to che Chef. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Loved their Suprise cake more as I had hinted that it was my birthday,also loved the hot soaking tub under the stars so yeah Thank you, ditholo and staff

The gravel from the tar road and also directions sent gave me a shortcut, which was a very bad road,if only they can put another board showing the straight turn to ditholo would help.their pool wasn't working which was a lil bad since there are no other activities after all it's really a nice relaxing place

The staff are amazing! A special shout-out to OUPA who went out of his way with conversation, getting us bread to feed the ducks, looking for worms for us to fish. He is simply AMAZING! Big-ups to the Chef! His food is just simply delicious!! Steak and lamb chops were cooked to perfection! The breakfasts are yummy! The mushroom onion sauce adds that extra taste to your plate. Very delicious! Food portions are big. Wifi connection is really fast. Hennie made us feel right at home. The spa full body massage was just the cherry on the cake. Paulinah is great! The game-drive was educational, however the wildlife were shy and we didn’t get to see much.

The over 10km dirt road could do with some tar. It will add great value to all the businesses there.

The place was so welcoming and very peaceful. Fresh cup cakes on arrival. 😊 😀 Proper space to unwind and relax... everything is so natural. The view from the other side of the bar! Splendid! The staff @ Mr. Chris, a big hug🫂 - everyone was so friendly, and the massage ladies were amazing, too. The SPA, oh yes, the color of our ropes💚 for a change! LOL The Sunset Game Drive was my Highlight... Harmless animals (Impala) roaming around, I mean close range, how nice is that 😄 👌 And mostly *The food* , OMG 😲 😍 Big up to Chef, Mr. Shepherd 👨‍🍳 and Mr Hendricks 💪 Mega love for y'all!

The Gravel road to the place, it's a No No👎 Okay, it's nice to drive on an Off-Road but not for that distance. 😉 Dust Roads are most great for the game drive. Not more than that! Nah!!!

Room - we were moved to a private home at no extra charge as there was overbooking of the lodge that was not noted by the website. The fear is what would have happened if the private home was in use? The booking system needs to be corrected to ensure no overbooking occurs in the future

Dinner & Breakfast - there was not sufficient catering to match the number of guests so guests ran out of food on both occasions we were there. The untarred road to the lodge was very challenging for my sister in a small car especially given the rainy season.

The highlight of the stay, apart from the animals, has to be the staff! Oupa, the barman, and the Chef are so committed to customer service and making your stay amazing. The chef was outstanding by catering for me, when I was staying at beginning of the week and out of season, so it was quiet (just the way I like it). The food had very generous helpings and was delish! Oupa was always around to get me my G&T in the afternoons and red wine with dinner! I loved that I could walk around on the property at my free will, walking on the dirt roads and seeking out the animals. It was peaceful and I absorbed every bit of bush-magic there was to experience. I had a wonderful massage in the mini spa too. I loved that the Bushbuck ewe and her calf visited the lodge every day, walking right up to my chalet door! I felt very safe at all times, especially as I travelled alone! Very rejuvenating!

I understand the lodge may be revamped next year, and frankly you can see that a bit of attention and an upgrade is needed in parts of the lodge. However, it is spotlessly clean and tidy, which is appreciated. The staff are constantly attending to the grounds.
