The guesthouse is very close to Dambulla Cave Temples which was the reason I chose it. It has decent rooms and very friendly hosts. Run by a sweet family who are always willing to help out. I always got response within a min if I needed anything. I found their rates for tuk tuk to Polannaruwah and Sigiriya so I opted for a private one and they didn't mind. Had breakfast one day and it was a big spread and pretty good. The room is very clean and the bathroom too.

The common area was always deserted even though it was fully booked. Not a bad point for the owner but probably the other residents during my stay. Also the main door was kept open all day and traffic sound was always there since it's a very active road.

I've been traveling to many places, including Nepal, India, and Sri Lanka, and it's always tough to find a good, affordable, and clean hotel. This place is perfect. It's very central, allowing you to walk to the various temples and museums in the area, and find some restaurants. It's spotless and looks brand new. The manager and his family also provide excellent service. In the mornings, you can enjoy a delicious and huge breakfast and be transported to any destination of your interest, in my case, elephant trekking and some treks.

The owner is very nice. He picked us up in the rain and helped us with the luggage. The guest house is with a big living room then 6 rooms. The place is very clean and facilities are easy to use. Bed comfortable. We spent one night here ans slept well. The pick up was 300, local price, we didn't need to pay extra.

The family room we had was equipped with air-conditioning so the window can't open and the room was well insulated. This means when the air-conditioning is not on, the room has no fresh air in. It needed an additional cost to use the Aircon (1500rpb) but it was actually cool over the night. We decided to sleep with the room door open. If it's a normal hot night then won't be an issue with the air-conditioning on.

If you are looking for a place with a good price, easy assess and a nice host, this is the place! It is close to the cave temple. What's more, the young and gentle host Dileep offers tours to Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa. Just ask when you arrive. I woke up at 5 am and took Dileep's car for the sunrise at Pidurangala. I also realized it was more convenient to sit in his car to travel around in Polonnaruwa since the weather was hot and there were many places scattered around the ancient city. The property exceeded our expectations! It was spacious and clean with all amenities we required. The host, Dileep and his family were exceptionally accommodating and very friendly making us feel very at home. They also provided an exceptional breakfast and evening meal for us (at a small added cost) and were on hand to assist with any queries we had about our stay including taking us on a sunrise hike and also to Sigiriya itself. The property is located just a short walk away from Dambulla town and close to the Golden and Cave temples. We will definitely be returning to Dambulla again and staying at this property. Highly, highly recommend

that we couldn't stay longer!

All members of the family running the resort were incredibly friendly and helpful! Dileep picked us up from the coach station when it was torrential rain which was kind of him. They helped us get on both of our buses to Anuradhapura and Kandy which was really helpful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and very filling. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a mosquito net and fan in the room. It was a very good price for the room, at $20 for 3 nights for two people. It was very quiet and peaceful too. There was hot water for showers too which was great.

We would have liked a little more transparency about the cost of things. We got charged for our pick up and drop off to and from the bus station which was not a lot of money but we thought it had been a goodwill gesture. It would also be nice for future guests if they had a filter water station instead of plastic bottles! The breakfasts were a little more expensive that we’d have liked but it was very yummy fresh food so can’t really complain too much :)

Proximity to town centre. Owners were very helpful. A car and a tuk tuk are available to visit sites in the areas. I went to Sigiriya Rock and Polonnawara in the car, and have to say Dileep is a very safe and good driver. As always, check and agree on the price beforehand. Breakfast was good, if you choose to have it.

The lobby is just outside the rooms, so it's noisy when a group of people hang around in the lobby. I suggested to the owners that a large sign requesting guests to keep the noise down between 8pm and 8am be placed in the lobby. It's quite a flight of stairs to get to the rooms which are on the first storey. If you have mobility problem, this is not the accommodation for you.

I enjoyed my one night stay at this property in Dambulla. I easily reached the property from the bus stand by a Tuk Tuk in only a few hundred rupees. It is a family run property. The landlady and her daughter speak good English and they are very helpful and cooperative. There is no good restaurants nearby, however, at about 10-15 minutes walk I found "Manj Restaurant and Bar" with good food at reasonable price. I found The Sigriya Rock and The Golden Temple worth visiting in Dambulla. And yes, another plus is the availability of AC bus to Kandy just in front of the property.

The road in front of the property, several kilometers on both sides was under construction that causes inconvenience. There is no good restaurant nearby and my experience with nearby restaurants is quite bad.

The location of the homestay was quite close to the Dambulla cave temple, walkable distance. The host, a young boy called Dileep was super nice and very courteous. Though I was the only guest in the place during my stay, he was always present by the lobby and enquired about my needs all the time. He also personally took me in his car to Sigirya, waited there for me for over 3 hrs got me back to my room. He also dropped me to the bus stand in his car after my check out. This is a highly recommended place if you are planning to stay in Dambulla.

Although the accommodation is on a very busy noisy main road, it was peaceful inside and my room quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was filling and tasty. Dileep and his mother were both very helpful.

The area is just down from the wholesale market and was quite dirty and difficult to walk along the road in order to get to the Golden Buddha temple. Difficult to find anywhere to eat.
