The accommodation was excellent. Spacious room. Excellent bath and shower. Close to town to get things from the shops and eat out as plenty of pubs near by. Our bicycles were safely stowed away securely. The host was very nice. Lovely market town; very traditional. Nice River Wye with kids playing in the water.
The breakfast was nice but seemed regimented. No frills, as in no self service for orange juice, yoghurt, fruit, tea or coffee. You had everything as issued by the host. Extra toast you had to pay extra for which seemed a bit mean. All the other B&B's you could have as much as you want regarding the frills. The fried breakfast was minimal and of good quality.

Met Sian and she was very friendly. The room was large, clean and quiet.
Came here with our 2 teenagers. it would have been nice if there was a family sitting room where we could all have been together to watch tv or chat. The king size bed was in the kitchen area, with the tv on the wall next to the bed and 2 chairs. It didn't give off much of a family atmosphere. Instead it was myself and my husband in the kitchen / bed area, and our teenagers down the corridor and in their bedroom away from us. The sofa was in their bedroom, that could have been made into a comfy tv area where we could have sat together at night before sleeping. Also there was no dishes, we took our own breakfast but had to use alternative provisions to eat.

Our twin room with en-suite shower and wc was excellent. Tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and tv. Free private parking a great bonus in this location. Plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance.
Breakfast could have been better - guests were limited to only 1 included cup of coffee, and no cereals, yoghurts or fresh fruits were provided. Breakfast was £10 per person and credit card payment is only accepted for an amount more than £30. Also, please be aware you have to walk outside the accomodation in order to enter the breakfast room.

Loved the room , it was so comfy and cosy looking xx Bed was so comfortable, and we had coffee, sugar, tea etc , which is always a must for us . Everything we needed for our stay. Towels also provided, although they were a little small for us, but not a major problem as we usually take our own too x Hairdryer provided which is always a must for me , and I usually would bring my own, so that's one less thing you beed to pack ! Mirrors provided in bathroom and on bureau desk in the main room , so that's a plus , as I always use a mirror for when I'm doing my hair or putting cream/ makeup on. Pretty much thought of everything , so we'll done to all the Sraff at the Bear xxx
Nothing at all to dislike x

The room was lovely and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Good shower facilities. The room was nicely tucked away - so no noise from the street. The owner was really lovely and friendly, very helpful. I booked a breakfast which was really good and just what I needed before heading off on a busy day!
Only downside was being the first room as you walked into the B&B entrance, anyone coming in late at night, would inevitably wake you up. The owners had put up signs to ask guests to be considerate and make no noise between 11pm and 7am, however, not everyone is considerate unfortunately.

The room was large, clean and tidy. The bed, although a double was two singles together which is unfortunately more common in b&b's which means it is uncomfortable when moving around due to the joint. The mattress was also a little too firm for my liking but that is all down to preference as I know others would say it was too soft.
The hallway to the room needed a refresh as it was dark, flooring lifting and just needed a general tidy up

Fantastic location right in the center of Rhayader minutes walk to great local pub, cafe, coop and fish & chip shop, leisure center and bus station. Great location for exploring the mountain trails. Also reachable entirely by public transport from Manchester airport. Comfortable and clean with plenty of space.
The only two things I would recommend and one is a must the other just a suggestion; 1) please please paint some gripper paint on the decking. It was warm and wet when I stayed (not icy) and the decking was so slippery that I went flying onto my back in super grippy trail shoes! If this was an older person they could really do an injury and you don’t want to deal with that. 2) only other suggestion would be a microwave for early morning / late evening snacks - esp if heading up Into the hills very early.

Sian greeted us the minute we got there, told us everything we needed to know for the duration of our stay! My boots and socks were soaking from the days mountain climbing, but not an issue as Sian offered to have them dry for the morning! Which I felt was above and beyond, the beds are very comfortable as to was the feel to the whole place! and breakfast was spot on and a reasonable price!
Nothing!

Sian was welcoming and friendly. The property was easy ish to find, but parking was good. Sian met us at the car as we parked and handed us the key whilst telling us about the property and asking about breakfast. The room was spotless and very well-appointed, much better than some .ore expensive hotels. It was a good size and very comfortable. If I were pushed to find fault, it would be that the towels were too small. However, that is very much a personal choice, and the towels did what they were supposed to do. I would definitely stay here again.. I was very pleasantly surprised.
