We booked the family suite although we were 4 friends, it was well laid out with the large bedroom having a double bed, single bed and plenty of room to move about and storage. The suite also has a small living room with comfy sofas and TV. From we booked in all the staff were very welcoming and helpful, the bar food is very nice with a good variety on the menu however if you're looking breakfast you have to go around the corner to Ty Morgans which is within the same chain. While the suite was attached to the bar building we heard very little noise even on a busy Saturday night..

1 of the rooms was a little small for twin beds

Slap bang dead centre of town. It's a lively little place on a weekend. Pack earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Book into one for the restaurants as it gets busy. Great coffee shop, cafe and Spar in walking distance.

Shower hose in room 2 needs replacing/ repairing, most of the water flows down the hose rather than out of the head. Other than that no issues or complaints at all and will continue to book again each time I visit as it is exceptional value.

I had a large 2 bed back facing room which was quiet. It was clean, functional, everything worked and great value for the money. A separate external door meant that I could come and go as I pleased even when the pub was closed. The central location was great with shops and cafe a minute away. The Coop opened at 0700, great if you forget something.

A minor point but I like total darkness at night. Unfortunately there was a window above my room door which, throughout the night let light in from the corridor

My bed, a double, was clean comfortable and warm. The shower was hot and the bathroom, spacious. Whilst the pub does not provide breakfast their evening bar meals are very good and reasonably priced. This was the 3rd time I have stayed at the premises and will do so again in the future,

The traffic noise early morning from the road outside but that isn't the fault of the venue.

Just the job. We've stayed before in the same room at a great price for 2 nights. Great location. Great beer. Can't comment on the food as we're beer people and never tried it but it looked good and was a popular spot for the food for others in our group.

Room is looking a bit tired now. Could do with a spruce and a lick of paint. Plus the staines on the fold out bed settee are a little off putting.

Fairly priced, convenient to all amenitiess. Friendly staff. Good shower, plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Ty Morgan’s, part of the same company, situated minutes walk from the pub does an excellent breakfast at an additional cost.

Noisy as the main road passes by right outside, but reflected in the price.

WiFi is non existent in the upstairs apartment, only place it finally connected was if I stood by the rear window of the backroom, so not practical at all. Preferred it when there was the small fridge in the apartment, handy for putting our food for the next day in, expected it to be there as this was our 3rd visit, but there wasn't one anymore.

What do you expect? It’s pub in the middle of Rhayader. If you like staying in pubs in the middle of Rhayader this place is great. If you like fancy 4star hotels this is not the place for you. It’s friendly, cheap, got beer and its dog friendly. What more do you want. I love it.

Parking limited by bins and tables.lLimoted parking anyway. Need to maximise it

A good place to stay for a weary cyclist having cycled mostly in the rain from Brecon. Somewhere secure to leave my bike. A good hot shower to wash off the grime of the day. A comfortable and warm bedroom to allow me to dry off my damp cycling clothes. A good meal downstairs in the bar. A good breakfast too the following morning before I set off for Machynlleth - in the rain! All-in-all, a great place to stay. A very lively place on Saturday night. The staff are lovely too! I would recommend a stay here.

There's nothing I didn't like.

The location is great, right in the centre of the town. The staff were very friendly. The pub has a great food choices.

The electrics in the room could be improved- I had to put the kettle on the floor to use it, and there was an extension lead leading to the two bedside lamps, one of which wasn't working. I couldn't find a wifi network when I searched.
