My sister and I stayed at Highland Moors as we were visiting the Hay Festival. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by Sue, who was so friendly and helpful, and made us feel at home. Our room was huge, the shower superb, beds comfortable. Breakfast was wide ranging with lots of options to choose from. We had an evening meal whilst at HM which was delicious. There is a large area for parking and the shops are about 15 minutes walk.

We very much enjoyed our stay

Easy check-in, staff were lovely. Upgraded to a front, bay window room, with lovely views, for no extra charge. Didn't have evening meal, as we were booked to go to a nearby concert, but food we saw looked excellent. Good nights sleep, very peaceful. Superb breakfast. Will certainly stay again. Thanks.

Was a little bit further from town, than expected, but traveling by our own car, it didn't matter. Bar was a little sparse, but functional. Wouldn't put me off.

Both of the rooms were very nicely presented the shower areas were large and very clean, my little boy liked the books and the pool table down stairs but really wanted to go to the outdoor play area but the weather wasn't good enough for him to enjoy it maybe next time the breakfast was very nice with a large selection of dishes both the hosts came and spoke to us during the breakfast time and were very nice I will certainly book the Highland moors hotel again on my next visit to Llandrindod wells.

The only thing which I could suggest that would need a little improvement would be the WIFI my little boy was unable to stream on his tablet but that wasn't to much of a disappointment as we all enjoyed our stay at the Highland moors.

Very large room, comfy bed, very restful stay. Spacious car park so no problems fittting car in Hosts very friendly and welcoming Llandrindod a charming and easily navigated town

Breakfast very good and excellent choice, however being from Lincolnshire i often rate the sausages i try elsewhere against our local produce, and they often dont quite match up , but this really is nitpicking, rest assured i really enjoyed the stay!

Lovely welcome from Sue the owner who is clearly proud of her property and is doing her very best to continue investing and improving. We stayed in an immaculate and spotlessly clean room with a newly refurbished en-suite. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order. (I hate breakfast buffets with food cooked 2 hours ago!) Nothing was too much trouble. If we are ever travelling through this way again we’ll be back.

The hotel overall is a quirky, "old school", independent hotel with its own charm. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, the room was clean and comfy enough but, shall we say, traditional. Certainly not modern but not a huge surprise. The bed, though a single, was actually very comfortable. I actually liked the place in a retro sort of way and it served my purpose on a business trip. The owners were great, friendly and approachable. Ample parking.

The bathroom was small, but functional.

I opted out of breakfast (dietary restrictions) but the choice looked fantastic. The room was very spacious and I loved the large windows. Very comfy bed! On site free parking was great and Sue was very welcoming. Other staff were friendly and helpful too.

Very minor points - another lamp would be nice (Room 2). I would have liked to open the locked window slightly, but it was late when I tried and I didn't want to disturb anyone to help me.

Home from home The space in the room was fantastic (I upgraded to room 14 which has a small living room / kitchen sink etc.. Loved the home made cooking Great hosts

It would have been great to have had a mini fridge in the room - within the kitchenette area. Not a big issue - and didn’t detract from stay at all

A lovely building with lots of history, traditionally furnished in keeping with its age. Spacious rooms with long windows overlooking the local hills. Our room was warm, clean and the beds were very comfortable. A modern bathroom, also with plenty of room, and a monsoon-style shower. Sue is a very welcoming, friendly and informative host whose breakfasts and evening meals are delicious.
