The hotel is in a good location in the town with great views from the seated decking at the back . The lounge area adjacent to the bar was lovely and comfortable for our party of 9 to enjoy their drinks in the evening . The staff were really friendly and helpful , especially Suki who was always available and made us all feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed …..

Welcomed by polite and cheerful staff.We thought breakfast was in the evening restaurant-however breakfast was in a back restaurant-wished staff had explained this as wasted time,waiting in the front restaurany. However,breakfast was well cooked and hot-highly recommended.

We stayed in Room 1-seemed it had been recently refurbished-immaculate matching furniture, cushions and curtains. One important negative remark ,we were unable to REGULATE the temperature of the shower.

The staff were very accommodating and the service was great. WiFi wasn’t good in our room but this wasn’t an issue for us. The shower was really good but noisy. The building is old so somethings are to be expected. The room was clean and comfortable and serviced well with some thoughtful touches, that were appreciated. Breakfast and the evening meals were very good. All in all, a good stay for us in an ideal location for where we wanted to travel from.

The location was central, both for the town and a great part of Wales. The food was good pub grub and the staff were friendly. A car park is always nice too when on a motorcycle.

Like a lot of British hotels, the building seem a little tired and run down. However, don't judge a book by the cover. The tired places are often gems. It would be nice too have a bigger selection of low alcohol or alcohol-free beers, especially on tap.

Breakfast was good - ample choice of cereals etc. Scrambled egg was a bit lumpy. Large airy breakfast room - well away from bar! Car Park was convenient with plenty of space. A young lady met us at the entrance, offered help with luggage, and made us feel welcome.

There was only one chair in the room - not really adequate for two elderly guests! Bathroom was minimal - not much shelf space for toiletries.

Well located hotel in the centre of town. Room had great views and bed was comfy. Plenty of storage space. Breakfast ordering on check in was efficient and the breakfast itself was fab (cooked and toast/cereals/yoghurt and juice). Really cannot fault this place and would recommend as a base for seeing the area.

Parking worked out for me in terms of the timings of when I was there but if busier you might have a short walk to a car park or on-street area.

The staff are lovely, the food is to die for and the manager has gone above and beyond to help in any way. I could live there forever if it wasnt for my job moving me around all the time. Cant recommend then high enough,. Oh and the best beers on tap. Lovely locals, that always say hello is just the icing on the cake.

Great room, slept really well. Lovely curry for dinner. All staff we saw were lovely, including Suki and Jack.

Breakfast good, but did ask for well done eggs on both breakfasts, but both were runny. Apart from that, rest of brekky (mine was veggie), was good.

The location is fabulous, just a short drive from the Elan Valley. Perfect for exploring the local area. The staff are extremely polite and friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant stay. The hotel is clean, comfortable and the food is fab.

There wasn't anything not to like.

Very friendly family who run this hotel, good although small parking area and offered a very good breakfast. Great value for money and what we required.

Could just be more appealing from the outside if painted a better colour as rather bold the green it is currently painted and looks rather unattractive
