I reserved a waterfront bungalow but was upgraded to beachfront. Bungalows were far enough apart that I was not annoyed by other guests and could enjoy the balcony overlooking the ocean. Bed was more comfortable than most in the country. Toilet paper and soap provided. Electricity was on longer than expected from listing. No mosquito net but few mosquitos. Snacks and filtered water were available for purchase. Uncrowded long beach close by. The host arranged my transport to the hotel and booked speedboat and taxi for when I left. I stayed 7 nights. I preferred this hotel to the other one on the island where I stayed that had a small beach area and many very loud tourists so that I could rarely enjoy my hammock or being on the beach.

I avoided the dining / common area as much as possible as it seemed there were always multiple smokers in the area. It was only a few minutes walk to a restaurant along the beach where tables were more spread out and I could more easily sit upwind of the smokers. Staff seemed abrupt and reserved initially but it could be because they were very busy and did not speak much English. But my needs were met and I spent minimal time in the communal area due to the smokers.

Really fantastic place. One of the last frontiers of Thailand, and I hope it stays that way. Food was great, Kayak deals were great. Price of the Bungalow was amazing for what I got. Main area is very cozy and well decorated. Honestly deserves a bit of a higher rating

Keep your window closed because all kinds of creatures will fly in your room after dark otherwise.

Perfect place in the jungle, between the trees. Simple bungalow, nothing fancy and that's exactly why I liked it. And so you know, this place has internet! I mean a real connection to the internet. We stayed in a couple of other places where they say they have internet but it was impossible to connect. So if you need it for work, this is your place.

Wonderful and somewhat secluded location. Comfortable bed. Solar and generator power for a good portion of the day. Comfortable lounge chairs and a hammock on the deck. Gorgeous view and only a few steps down to the beach for swimming. Good restaurant with casual atmosphere. Near enough to other beach bars and restaurants. Snacks like chips and peanuts available to buy. Once you buy a 1.5L bottle of water you can refill from the water cooler for very cheap. We had the last bungalow at the far end and really enjoyed the peace. We didn’t mind that the wifi didn’t make it to the bungalow. We had books to read.

Bug restaurant/resting area. Rooms vary, but our pricey room was spavoous, had a lovely balcony with sun beds, and cold water shower. It is all basic but perfect for a stay. Many people stay for months there.

Beautiful area, close to the beaches, cool shadow during the day time with nice breeze. Amazing owner and personnel at the restaurant! Also it is possible to rent a bike there.

Great value for money with clean, comfy rooms. The food is surprisingly delicious, and the self-service drink station is a convenient perk. Plus, the prime location makes exploring the island a breeze. Highly recommend!

There are too many mosquitoes. Haha

the landlady/owner is very nice and helpful. she organised a motorcycle for us. i like the "open fridge"policy - as long as the kitchen is open you can take drinks from the fridge yourself and just put the taken items into "thebook".
