Very friendly staff. Great location right on the beautiful beach. Nice beach bar / restaurant with good portion sizes. Great sunset view! Clean bungalow with a great seaview. Bungalow is simple but clean. We came back here for breakfast and cocktails even after we moved to another hotel on the island. Would very much recommend and would come back for longer at this place next time!

Amazing location, right on the beach. The accommodation has a great restaurant and there were many others nearby to choose from if you wanted a change. Staff were lovely and the beach was chilled and great for swimming or just hanging out. It's worth having a scooter if you want to explore the rest of the island. I would definitely stay here again.

My bungalow was right behind the restaurant, which was great when I wanted a morning coffee but not so great if it was a busy night and I wanted to sleep early. This would probably only be an issue with this particular bungalow, though, because the others were further away.

Amazing location directly on a beautiful, quiet beach. Cozy atmosphere with delicious restaurant offering fresh fruit shakes and a huge food menu. Wonderful, warm and helpful staff. We were so comfortable in this accommodation that we didn't leave the area for the whole 5 days we were there!

One unfortunate reality of island life is poor waste management. Beside the bungalows, there is a stream with a lot of trash.

Beautiful location on the north of buffalo bay, nice swimming, very quiet beach. Huts are veryvery basic which was fine for us. Partly open on the upper part of the walls so you need to sleep under mosquito net which was fine for us. Not many mosquitos around during our stay in march, mainly around 18:00. You sleep in de jungle which we liked very much. Loved the vibe of the camp, very relaxed, people running it is friendly small team. Restaurant with view of the beach very nice set up. Nice places to sit and relax during the day. Good food, reasonably priced. All the huts have a small deck with chairs and table to sit. From our hut you could see the beach, about 25meters to the beach. Beds were quite hard which is actually something we liked :). It is jungle. There are ants when you leave any sweet food, this will be the same for every camp. Also higher end camps we had ants in our room.

We loved our stay here and we really can’t put it in words. The bungalows are basically right at the beach and very specious and clean and a great porch to view the sunsets :) The staff here is a family and they are the greatest! Super nice and welcoming and they will try to help you with everything! The food is great especially the Massaman Curry, Tom Yum, Pad Thai and the fruit shakes! The beach is the most beautiful one on the island and Ao Kwang Peeb, a small lonely bay is just 15/20 minute walk away. 10/10 would come here again!

you can’t beat the location. the best swimming spot on Buffalo Bay. The water here is flat no rocks and perfect for small kids. The staff are lovely people and Khow prepares delicious food. The bungalows are very rustic and past their prime but the price reflects that. There are many options on Ko Phayam however this suited our budget as we have a five week stay in Thailand. Earliest happy hour that we saw starts at 3pm with big Chang beer for 90baht, you won’t find it cheaper. High quality ETE ice cream was a hit with the kids with many flavours to choose from. I am an ice cream snob so I can vouch for it. Our two kids had never been to the sea before and the jungle critters had them freaked at first but they loved the dogs which they are normally quite wary of. We stayed here for a week and are sad to have left. I definitely can recommend Baan Suaan Kayoo.

The Staff at the Reception/Restaurant was very friendly and very helpful. Upon arrival my mattress was way too hard. I was totally surprised and impressed, that they brought a totally new one the very next day. 💚 Thank you very much for that prompt solution and excellent service!

Cleaning lady was sweet, but didn't understand any English and answered " Yes" but never came to empty the waste bins.

Good bed and fan. Good helpful staff. Nice location close to the beach. Good porch. Good ice cream in the restaurant!

Toilet is very basic. Dont bring any food in your room, otherwise some animals may come up there... The food in the restaurant was lacking spices. My hairbrush was lost from the porch, dont know who took it...

Beautiful spot right on the beach. Bungalows are big and clean and comfortable. All the staff go above and beyond for you. Happy smiling all the time. Lots of nice spots to sit and watch sunset and have some amazing food. beautifully decorated with love. Close to some bars and restaurants.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. The owner is also owner of a local scooter rental, so you can easily get scooters by asking hotel staff. The food there was also fantastic and the location at Buffalo Bay close to the Hippie Bar offers an awesome sight. During breakfast, there's a good chance you will be joined by a few hornbill birds. They are hanging out there quite a lot. Would definitely recommend this place.

The only thing that I really had to get used to, was that there was no warm showers. Also I would recommend bringing a flashlight in the evening to avoid any surprises by snakes or something (that counts for pretty much all of Koh Phayam though 😅)
