It’s hard to find anything wrong about Rabbit. It’s off the road so you only hear jungle, you have a porch with hammock to spend your evenings, there is a sweet lady who offers great Thai massage, they have a nice restaurant with small lake view and great food (mango sticky rice to die for), hot water available for self equipped quests, refurbished bungalow that look better than photos on booking.com (pleasant surprise- white interior instead of coloured walls), 300m walk to sea, seriously its a gem. Maybe WiFi could be better but it’s equally bad on the whole island.

This place is a DREAM! Set in beautiful, landscaped tropical jungle, overlooking a hot pink lotus pond with giant butterflies, hornbills, frogs, cranes, orchids, fruit trees, and wild nature, just five minutes walk to beautiful Buffalo Beach. Great, reasonably priced restaurant overlooking the lotus blossoms that caters to vegetarians, too. Friendly staff, clean comfortable beds in the charming little, fan cooled thatched cabins dotted around the jungle, with modern bathrooms, shampoo and loo paper supplied, free water bottle refills. The excellent shower only has cold water, but who needs hot in the tropics?! The owner, Lek, is super helpful and friendly and, upon arrival, gives you handy hints of good stuff to see and do on the island. He can also arrange snything you like for you, from bike rentals, tuktuk taxis, boats, and snorkling trips. Lovely vibe, and I never want to leave! X

Lovely clean bungalow, quiet and secluded, good value for money. We were in the deluxe bamboo bungalow. Fantastic restaurant overlooking gorgeous lagoon with lotus flowers. Lovely attentive staff in restaurant and talented cooks. A guy thoroughly sweeps the whole place every day and the garden is well maintained. Bikes can be hired. Well led by Mr Lek, staff seemed very happy and working together as a good team. Very close to what is best beach on island in my opinion, plus other cafes etc if you want a change.

Nothing. Obviously it is budget accommodation so you are not paying enough for air con, hot water etc but we were fine with the fan and shower.

The bungalow was clean, had a private toilet and shower. The shower is cold but that was no problem for me. Lek and his staff are most kind. I was coming from Surat Thani and lek arranged a seat for me on a local van costing only 300bat. The garden and pont with lilies is stunning. You can hear the people around you but there is an understanding of being quiet. The best was a little hard to my taste but I’ve slept on beds in Thailand that were a lot firmer. The location is close to a beach and with a scooter you can get around easily to other beaches. As a solo traveler it was a little challenging to connect to others, cuz there are a lot of couples on the island. I would come back here.

It might be handy to put on some hooks to hang your clothes.

Excellent. Situated next to a lovely lotus pond and still close to Buffalo Bay (walkable distance) and to a great restaurant Ta Yai, this place offers amazing opportunities to explore Ko Payam. The dorm and bungalows are top notch. The paths are kept tidy. the plants are taken care of. Drinking water, tea, coffee, breakfast available on-site for reasonable prices as well. The best, of course, is the human touch that Lek gives to Rabbit Bungalow dwellers. He is attentive and considerate of whatever needs you might have, easy to talk to, and fun.

A super establishment. It’s well run and caters for all. The cabins are small but adequate and clean. They are set in beautiful grounds and the restaurant serves food of a high quality. As well as all of this , it’s a short walk to a very pretty beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the level of service and helpfulness of the staff, particularly the manager. P.S. the visiting hornbills are very entertaining.

Just one suggestion - a stronger fan or an air conditioning unit to really cool the room would make things perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rabbit Bungalow. The host Lek was very kind and we were offered some refreshments during check-in. Due to the holiday season we had to hop between accommodations so also sleeped in the dorm in Rabbit. The dorm was spacious and had comfortable beds. The area is quiet and there are quite a lot of hammocks you can chill. Lek and his staff organized a Christmas party which was a lot of fun. The accomodation is close to Hin Ta Lu which is a beautiful beach. Because of the tide you cannot swim here at all times but you can do so at Aow Yai which is a 30-40 minute hike or a short scooter ride. There are enough restaurants nearby that offer vegetarian/vegan food.

We thought the bungalow could use some small improvements. The entrance had some ply boards and I was somewhat weary to walk here on bare feet. The bed in the bungalow was less comfortable than in the dorm. The smell in the shared bathroom of the dorm could be improved.

This place is oasis in the island! It is located at the center of the island, 5 min walk from the beach. Really well located if you want to move around and be apart from the "busy" areas, although they are non-existent in there. They also have a restaurant with the best food in town, excellent massage service, and beautiful garden where you can relax. Internet is good if you need to get some work done. Lek and the team were excellent hosts making sure we were enjoying our stay. We made the best choice staying in here. We are already missing it.

Everything was amazing nothing to complain. Just if you need to do home office, Internet in this part of the island is quite stable and also in this bungalow. However, you may want to bring your own SIM card to make sure you have two options.

Everything was amazing from the moment we arrived. Lek is an amazing host and will make sure everything is perfect for you. The food and drinks are great and reasonable. The location on the island is perfect and the garden is so beautiful. The staff are so friendly and work very hard. All round amazing experience, we extended our stay but wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Bottles of water are brought to your room every day which is very kind, but it would be nice if there was an option (even paid for) to refill bottles to reduce plastic usage.

The Rabbit Bungalow was perfect. There's only a few cheap hostels/bungalows on Koh Phayam. This place should be so much more expensive. It's right across from a beautiful beach with areas you can have to yourself. There's tons of hammocks surrounded by trees and sun. The rooms are spacious and comfy with giant lockers to keep probably 3 85L backpacks :) The staff are so friendly. The owner is the best, he'll remember your name, give you suggestions, and more. Amazing place definitely stay here.
