This is a very well located accommodation in the city. Many sights worth to see are walking distance and also others are easy to approach by a short taxi drive. This is very important because traffic jams and long distances in Chinese towns make tourist activities a bit more complicated. The staff in the hotel are super nice and they speak English very well what is not always the case. They are willing to help, can be contacted for help via WeChat any time and they speak Chinese for you with the person you need to talk to. There is a very good restaurant attached with the hotel serving breakfast and it is very delicious (mainly European dishes). I would highly recommend this place - it was easy with them to be a tourist from Europe.

We liked everything!

The location is a bit far from Qingdao railway station, but located in a quiet side of the area. It is however near to a metro station, so it would be convenient if coming from the North station or airport. Anyway, it is a good neighbourhood. It is not too far to the central area of the old town, easy and nice walking distance. There are quite a number of eateries and cafe around the place. Itself has a restaurant and a cafe/pizzeria. The restaurant came in very handy during cold weather and rain, and they serve great food and drinks. There are also convenience stores nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful. I was early and they checked me in without any fuss. The hotel is like an art gallery, clean and lovely decorated. The room is spacious, clean, lovely set up, cozy, warm(as it was winter during my visit) and comfortable. The bathroom is big, clean and the toilet seat is not icy cold during winter.

The location map on Booking.com is not correct. It shows the hotel is at the centre of the tourist area, but actually it is at the borderline. Good thing I use the address to search the china version google and found it. Someone should update that map.

The staff were so helpful, from messaging us before we arrived, to talking to our taxi driver to give directions. They were very friendly and all of them spoke at least basic English. The location is also superb, within easy walking distance of the beach/pier and Zhongshan Road, and surrounded by lots of places to eat. Comfortable, clean and warm rooms.

There are lots of stairs and no lift. It's OK for fit & healthy travellers only.

Angela on reception was amazing, she gave us so much advice, answered any question we had, ordered us things we needed (included a weird request for a HDMI cable one evening which we did not expect to be able to get at all!). She went above and beyond for us, she bought us snacks to try just because she wanted to share them with us. Thank you so much Angela !

Excellent location to explore Qingdao Old Town. The start of the quaint tourist area packed with restaurants, shops and stalls is just a few minutes away (see picture). Really nice and helpful staff as well as great breakfast options in the restaurant downstairs. When my airconditioning stopped working they provided me with a fan and got it fixed the same evening so I could get a good night's rest.

The staff here are exceptional-Always responsible and attention to every need. The hotel excuses a European charm，with thoughtful touches like warm bilingual instruction，portable maps and hand written weather for the day. It's the evident that the owner has put great effort into every details，which is reflected in the impeccable service provided by every staff member，from reception to the restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel!!!!

Really great location in the old town of Qingdao. The staff were so lovely and had a good level of English so could give us recommendations and answer any questions we had. They gave us a map recommending restaurants offering local food as well as places to get drinks. We only stayed three nights and wish we’d stayed longer. We stayed in a private room so can’t speak for the dorms but the room was lovely and definitely didn’t feel like other private rooms we’ve stayed at in hostels

Everything was very good! Nice facilities, nice staff, nice cafe, & nice atmosphere! Check in was very easy, it didn't took too much time. There was no lift to the private rooms on the 4th floor but thank the boy who took my luggage. It's cool that I did my laundry there as well though I had to pay 10yuan to wash & have to pay via Alipay. But thanks to Xiao Zhou from the frontdesk for helping me with this! Thank you~! Cafe was nice, I got free water to drink)) Then there are sofa for you to sit on the 2nd & 3rd floors. So it's very nice! The Catholic Cathedral is within walking distance of 10 min walk. Then different small shack restaurants are up the hill in the south. To walk to the pier, it's 30 min.

Everything was great except for my room. It wasn't very clean because there are dead flies on the walls. Occasionally you also can get mosquitoes in your room as well. But I had repellent so it wasn't a problem with that. Bathroom for my private room was a bit tight of a space.

Cozy, comfortable bed with clean sheets, great & varied lightings in the room with a contemporary newspaper feature wall. Very helpful, warm and professional staff. Fantastic ambience & vibes in their accompanying "Jinn" western restaurant. Great beef souffle pizza & avocado yoghurt blend! So pleased with our first night stay that we decided to come back to 'home ground' after 2 planned visits to other further venues/ province.

No tissue box in the room.

I had booked a bed in a male dormitory, but I accidentally reserved a female dorm instead. The male dorms were already fully booked and my budget was limited. I'm grateful that the staff member offered me a twin room at a slightly discounted rate compared to the regular price.
