We really enjoyed our stay in the King room with a sofa bed. Our bed was comfy and had great linens. The best part was that the sofa was actually in a separate room, which made it nice for privacy. Breakfast was also excellent for a hotel breakfast.

The surprise was an added city tax charge of $17 (and small change). When we booked, it was clearly stated on the web page that all taxes were included with price. Yep, nope. I even talked to the front desk, and she wasn't able to take it off. So....for anyone looking at staying here, be prepared!

When trying to figure out where I wanted to stay, I noticed that there were 2 Holiday Inns in Ontario. They looked similar from the profile, similar costs, and what appears to be similar locations. If you have experienced the same confusion and are not sure which one to choose, let me make this simple... This is the "Express" and THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT. Even as I passed through the lobby, many people walked in and had them mixed up. I actually felt sorry for the ones that had to go to the other location. This one is MUCH nicer and the location is MUCH better. The other one is basically a motel. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing super special about this place. But I assume if you're passing through the area and need a hotel this will check most of the boxes...above average accommodations, modern facilities and pleasant staff.

It was a little pricey for Ontario (Oregon) but there are only a couple decent hotels in the area.

The property was great. It was clean and provided the space our family needed. Some small added details stood out to us, like having the full set of linens available in the room for the pull-out couch bed (w/no missing pieces), a small set of dishes/cutlery for the small kitchenette area, a nightlight included, as well as a bar soap option for the bathroom. The free breakfast and pool were also great to have.

We were situated directly above the pool, so it was a bit noisy, but no major problems.

If you get a room next to one of the exits, it can get pretty loud with the door slamming constantly at very early hours in the morning. It’s not really an issue though if you’re a heavy sleeper.

The breakfast was decent however the seating area , though reasonably large, was filled with people and it was hard to find a place to sit where we weren't feeling like we were too close to others. The pancake machine was not working which was disappointing. The eggs and sausages were good. The fruit looked decent but it would've been nice to have melon as an alternative to apples and bananas.

There was no social distancing, the staff were not wearing masks and there were too many people in the dining room to feel comfortable. Also, as above, the pancake machine was not working and there was no waffle iron or even toaster waffles or pancakes. Also, our coffee machine in our room was not working. It was getting power, but when we pushed the Brew button, nothing happened. It was a keurig. I had to go downstairs to get coffee.

Yes we really like this hotel and have for years. It was clean and everyone was very nice. I love how clean the breakfast area is kept! But it makes me sad that you allow animals

I am very frustrated with you allowing dogs in the hotel. We have family members with severe allergies to animals and so we will no longer be staying with you. This makes me sad. I wish more places would understand that allergies are a big deal. We watched dog owners allowing their animals to sit on the couches in the dinning area. 😠

Welcoming staff. Great room layout and quality of fixtures and finishes, nice amenities, fantastic bedding, and super clean.

Decent breakfast. Comfy bed. Clean, and honestly just a step up from some of the others in that area. I stay in Ontario on my way through to Ketchum, so I just need a spot to break up our long drive. HI has been the best option yet. It's a little more pricey, but it was worth the extra money for quiet and comfort.

Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast extensive. They had a variety of microwaveable dinners, so we didn't need to find a restaurant after a long day. Bed very comfortable. Shower had soft water, with pump shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

This hotel is one of the reasons we like to stay at HIE. It is clean, comfortable with great service. We are willing to pay a little extra for feel safe and comfortable where we stay. The HIE should feel very good about the quality of this hotel.
