I think this hotel and adjoining restaurant may have recently been purchased by Holiday Inn Express and remodeled. We found the room decor nice and bright, and it was very clean and comfortable. We were given a coupon for $5 off dinner and the food was good and the server was trying very hard to please everyone. Much nicer and better food then a couple of years ago.

While breakfast at the restaurant was included in our room choice, and was very good, we would have preferred a quick continental style breakfast where you serve yourself so that we could eat and be gone. Not a complaint, just a preference.

The staff was friendly and helpful. They even gave me a room so I could keep an eye on my horse trailer in the parking area. The room was very clean and well stocked with plenty of towels and even had 4 pillows per bed. Not only were they great pillows, they were marked as firm and soft! How great is that?! Then, free breakfast at the restaurant next door...not a waffle made in the lobby!! This place was above and beyond all my expectations.

Everything was so great, I hate to complain! The only thing I think could be improved upon is the shower head and the lack of good tv channels.

The breakfast offering was outstanding. There is a restaurant (Country Kitchen) that is an integral part of the facility - no need to walk outside in freezing or blistering hot weather. At the time of our visit at least, the price of any breakfast offering on the extensive menu was included in the room price, and it was a very good value with excellent early morning service. The facility (and it is not the Holiday Inn Express) is fairly new and spic and span clean. The beds were comfortable, and even though it cut into the size of the bathroom, we especially liked the separate and very accessible luggage area with a flat surface for both our bags and a cubby below with room for shoes, etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Bath size was limited for the reason noted above, and it would be helpful to have "carts" available to carry luggage down the hallways. Also, it was difficult to balance the temperature in the room since the heating unit seemed to have an unusually wide on/off range and the bed coverings were either too light or two heavy, depending what the heater was doing at any particular time.

Location was right off the freeway so for travelers just passing through it was an excellent location. Staff was professional and friendly. The room was quite large and I appreciated the balcony. Bedding was very clean and comfortable, shower pressure fantastic. The only reason for the 9 was the housekeeping staff failed to remove the previous occupants coffee pod from the machine and there was sugar scattered on the desk beside the coffee maker. I didn't mention it to the receptionist because the room looked very clean other than that one oversight.

Service and behavior of every hotel service person. The breakfast was awesome!

Staff was very welcoming. Place was modern and well maintained. Very comfortable beds. Had an outdoor pool and indoor hottub. Water temperature for both was perfect. Breakfast was made to order in the attached Country Kitchen restaurant. Bathroom vanity lighting was great.

The room rate which was $175 Don't like spending much more than $100/ night for a hotel room but we definitely got our money's worth at this hotel.

The location was great! The breakfast was ok.

At Country Kitchen, the staff member Mary's demeanor towards my son was less than welcoming. He ordered a cranberry juice that cost $4.01, and she then asked, in a somewhat rude and harsh tone, "Who is paying for it?" I calmly responded that I would be covering the cost and had already settled the breakfast bill. Later, I took a moment to speak with her privately, offering a tip and suggesting that a more pleasant approach would be appreciated.

Safe parking, no risk of break in unlike anywhere in Oakland or San Francisco. Hotel was close to grocery stores and gas stations. The staff was very friendly and the pool, though rectangular by design seemed to emanate an energy beyond that of a quadrilateral vessel for chlorinated water. Nice place!

The little mints they put on your pillows would have been a nice touch. An original David Hockney in the hotel room right next to the sliding door so I could look at the real swimming pool and then look at a Hockney pool painting would have been awesome.

New renovation of hotel and restaurant is well done. Access to grass area is a plus.

Per previous stays at this property, I confirmed and agreed to the customary one time pet fee but was charged a per night pet fee upon arrival. Staff stated that the new policy was implemented two weeks before my arrival and two months after my reservation. Staff said they would discuss with GM but without resolution. The one time pet fee was an enticement to use this property and should have been honored. No response from the GM upon departure.

Very clean, very friendly staff. The rooms have been greatly updated since the remodel. It felt very luxurious to stay there in Ontario.

We love Country Kitchen, and we’re sad to see that the complementary breakfast is no longer part of this hotel offerings. We also paid quite a bit more than we did before the remodel. The price increase is not without merit, the facilities truly have been improved greatly. However it was a bigger hit to our wallet than when we stayed last year.
