This is an amazing place to stay- tranquil and beautiful surrounded by hills. Such a relaxing place to be. The staff were lovely and very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Alex the manager, who is multilingual, does a very good job keeping the residents happy. A second Alex, who keeps the pool in good order and drives the minibus - always willing to drop people at the port, Sophia who does waitressing and serving and the housekeeper who keeps the rooms clean, refreshing towels and bedding regularly all help to make Amorgion a happy and relaxing place to stay. The breakfasts are wonderful with a good selection of sweet and savoury choices. I had a wonderful stay and would thoroughly recommend a visit.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

Amorgos is an absolute dream, and The Amorgion Hotel was exceptional. The location near to -- but far enough from -- the port of Katapola; the facilities with spacious rooms (we were granted 2 rooms right next to each other as requested to accommodate our family of 4) and a large, gorgeous outdoor pool area with stunning views for relaxation; the cleanliness of the rooms and pool (sparkling clean!); and most importantly the helpful staff. Georgia (our host) was attentive, kind and extremely helpful. The availability of rental cars at the property was unbelievably convenient... the best experience we've ever had related to car rental. Our driver (I do apologize, I can not for the life of me remember how to spell his name) was enthusiastic, funny and beyond helpful, and got us to and from the port easily. I truly can not say enough about our experience at The Amorgion, other than to sum it up by saying we were terribly sad to leave on check-out day, and hope to return in the near future. I wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else on Amorgos.

There is not a single thing I would change. This is a top notch stay and our family of 4 enjoyed every minute of our time there.

Beautiful boutique hotel complex with the rooms grouped artistically around a spectacular pool area that has views of the mountains on either side and all the way down to the sea in front. There is also a cosy bar/breakfast area. Everywhere was kept spotlessly clean and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. A big gold medal for Georgia who went out of her way to make our stay extra special. When we arrived late (delayed ferry) she was there waiting to greet us and insisted on making us supper as we were too late (too tired) to go into town. Wonderful.

Although it is a really easy 10 minutes walk down INTO town it is a little tough coming back up the hill (for older people). That said, taxis are available and car hire close by too so it should never be a reason not to stay here.

The location is beautiful - far from the noise and the heat, you get some air and a beautiful view. The swimming pool and resting area wre very cozy. The studio is spacious (up to 3 people can stay comfortable), with a small terrace perfectly oriented to enjoy the view. Georgia and the staff were great providing advice and addressing all the requests.

The location, despite being very scenic, could be a problem for those who want to walk to Katapola town: the street is not pleasant, especially by night. The kitchenette was not super well equipped (no plates, no knives) There is no room cleaning - you can expect it given the price.

Srcond time here, a magical place, the view from the hotel is incredible. The manager is very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much and the cats are friendly too.

A couple of times with no WiFi which is no trouble but I had to stay in touch with my cat sitter back home and get the tickets for the ferry so had to go to reception but again it was sorted straight away.

Room, pool, the whole ambience of the hotel was very good. Very chilled and relaxed. Staff were kind and helpful. Amorgos & Katapola are great and this is a great place to stay for easy access to both. One of the few hotels on the island with a pool which is a big bonus. Great views from the pool and pool facing rooms.

Breakfast could be a bit better. Coffee not the best and boiled eggs were not cooked one day. A little far from town (but I knew this when I booked) but it was a long walk to do twice a day. If that sounds like a problem thne best hire a vehicle. Both customer facing members of staff had only been working there for weeks or days so felt like they were somewhat "learning the ropes" Sure things will improve when they are both settled in at the hotel.

Really comfy beds in our triple room. Amazing pool and chairs to relax. We chose this property for the pool for our son and were really happy with our choice. Great view from our balcony.

Really small kitchenette and no coffee machine. Staff was helpful in providing more items for us to be able to eat as we were 3 people and there was only limited items for 2. Access to the property needs getting used to, not easy at first even with a small car!

They were kind to pick us up and drop us off at the port. The location is lovely away from the touristy feeling in town with a sweeping view. Very relaxing! I enjoyed their bath products and raki that was left in the room for us.

I booked a 2 BR for 2 couples. The 2nd bedroom was very narrow and had a strange layout with two twin beds facing each other with no windows. I felt a bit claustrophobic. I thought the breakfast was included but it as not. Food was ok.

Amorgion Hotel was perfect and I would have loved a longer stay! It was so peaceful with beautiful views. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was so fresh and delicious. Joanna and Pablos were so friendly and helpful - perfect hosts!

Nothing! But it’s important to note it’s a 10-15 minute walk up a small road from the town/harbour. You’ll need a light if you’re walking home at night in the dark.

Great rooms; large, very clean and in the middle of a great garden. Fantastic pool (not so many people). Super sweet hosts who picked us up at the port, and tried to make us feel so cherished.

Nothing. I really want to come here again (I allso loved Amorgion).
