Some of the staff were amazing - particularly the Greenlandic 🇬🇱 people on reception were great. Breakfast was good, though due to renovations it was served in a conference suite, so perhaps less choice than normal. Comfortable beds and well functioning albeit small and old fashioned bathrooms. But when you think of the hotel’s location, you really should not complain ! Bar staff were nice. Convenient free parking behind hotel.

Salad bar in the steak restaurant was disappointing. Noise from renovation works began quite early so no lie-ins ! The central location is handy - but it also meant that some homeless were in the vicinity of the hotel. Saturday evenings seem to be popular so they have a bouncer on the ground floor which is arguably reassuring but indicates that trouble is a possibility!

Hotel Hans Egede is a living testimony to the success of the Danish Christian missionary´s, Hans Egede´s, endeavours in Nuuk in the eighteenth century. Standing unmistakenly in the very heart of Nuuk ( Godthaab ), one could say that it was Nuuk itself. Considering that Greenland, even today, is remote and with only a small, scattered population, the hotel provides most of the facilities one would expect in a top range hotel anywhere in the world. The reception lounge is extensive, with computer screens providing information on the latest flights situation in and out of the airport. The receptionists were always efficient, friendly and helpful. The two lifts ( elevators ) provide access to the many accommodation rooms and to the restaurant and bar on the fifth floor, where pleasing views may be had over the town. A ´full English´breakfast supplements the extensive buffet breakfast in the mornings and later in the day, and especially for dining in the evening, there is a choice of meals, particularly focusing on a variety of steaks, served by a number of dedicated waiters and waitresses. The bar nearby is extensive with large satellite screens. I visited in summer but I could imagine that the hotel were a warm, sturdy shelter in the midst of the winter storms.

The proficient heating is situated under the window of the room, providing warm heating that matches the potential cold outside. However, the en suite facility is separated from the main room by two doors, considerably reducing the amount of heat that can travel from the main room, and there appeared to be no other heating available next to the wash basin, toilet and shower.

Great location, clean, quiet, and a very friendly staff. Literally, in the heart of Nuuk city center, breakfast, lunch, and dinner were delicious 😋. Taste of Greenland is a must try, the freshness of the seafood, the Musk Ox, Reindeer meat, Mattak (Whale blubber) & cod Chef's kiss . City Views from your room, the restaurants and bar.

The location was perfect for central Nuuk and the breakfast was very good. The hotel was clean and staff were very friendly and always helpful. There was some disturbance as external work was being carried out during my visit but at least it didn't start until after 08:00 and was finished by 17:00!

The shower area was a little small. The bar tenderer was very uptight and rude so we didn’t hang out for long.

This is a very comfortable modern hotel in a very small city. All the comforts of a good hotel, great location right in the heart of the city center. Nice breakfast. Restaurants nearby. Friendly helpful staff. Everything we needed for a great stay in Nuuk.

The staff are very friendly and approachable, the breakfast is excellent, and it's an interesting place to visit.

Some refurbishment work was going on, which limited the space a bit and made some noise, but it was well managed overall and only affected my stay a little.

Very good, 5th floor, most types of food, but not Asian as a mention. Not enough fresh fruit types.

Great location. Fantastic bar and restaurants...particularly the Hereford. Great staff...very helpful, especially during challenging flight cancellations.
