We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Our room was large with great views and a comfortable bed. Location for us was great. It was a 10-15 minute walk from town which we preferred and a 15 minute taxi ride from the airport. We ate at the restaurant a couple of nights and breakfast was simple but good too. The weather turned on our last day and we got stuck here for an extra two nights. Staff were understanding and accommodating. We won’t be returning to Nuuk but I would recommend Soma.

Their food is great. Definitely need to try it. My breakfast is included so I have it everyday. On separate dates, I have the lunch and dinner. The lunch I have the reindeer burger and dinner I have the fish and chips. Both are delicious and the service was great. Definitely try their local beers, they have a selection of it on their menu. Also I was very moved because I wanted to send a postcard to my son who lives far away. My flight was in the morning so I could not go to the post office. The front desk offered to go to the post office in my absence and he also select a few good looking stamps suitable for my child. I will never forget this friendly gesture and will definitely return to this hotel again.

Nothing. I love every bit of the experience and the peace and quiet to enjoy the Greenland scenery.

We were forced to stay here an extra night due to our flight being cancelled. The receptionist (Frederik, I think?!) was super helpful and kind and helped us solve the situation with the airline. (FYI Air Greenland covers your stay and meals here if your flight gets cancelled) We really enjoyed the hotel's restaurant and the hot chocolate was divine. The burgers are awesome. You can have tea for free all day. The room was cosy and overlooking the port and it was beautiful to see the snowfall, the mountains and a dog playing with snowballs from the window during the awful weather we experienced. This is a non-profit hotel and all profits are reinvested in the welfare of seafarers, fishermen, and local communities, so it is another great reason to stay here.

The one thing I disliked was the dinner we had on our last night - boiled shrimps, no flavour whatsoever on a strange salad with cold, fresh from the tin lentils... But highly recommend their burgers. Also, the hotel hallway has an off smell - might be old pipes, though.

Everything very fine. Clean and good breakfast. Nice stuff. Walking distance. Warm room. Really good.

To arrange a taxi for the early morning was a hassle. I ordered in evening before but at least nobody came and nobody took the call from the nice guy from reception in the morning. I felt lost. A delay from almost 45 min to go the airport is really bad. The hotel should be able to organise a taxi which works correct. Its the only bad thing in my stay but it's really a problem..

The staff was great and always eager to help in case we had a questions about the city or any places to visit. The room was comfy and had all necessary amenities.

Unfortunately the rooms were being cleaned every 3- 4 days, definitely not daily. After raising the issue multiple times to the staff of the hotel, suddenly the sheets were being changed daily and the room was being cleaned in general. It could have been that the cleaning crew was not doing its job properly so I cannot really tell if it was the hotel or the cleaning crew. The Wi-Fi was a big issue for me. I was not able to attend any Teams meetings due to the poor Wi-Fi connection that I had in my room. If your room is not directly above the reception desk, the signal is not strong enough.

The location was excellent as great views of the new harbour/port area but also only a 15 minute walk to the centre. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast area and food was lovely. The bed was super comfy - I had the best night’s sleep. Overall, a delightful and characterful hotel. I highly recommend a stay here and will definitely stay here again if I am lucky enough to return to Nuuk.

I asked for a quiet room but was given one beside the lounge area. However, this should not detract from any of my comments above as overall the hotel and staff were brilliant.

Great service. Good selection of breakfast. Room is big enough and well decorated. Close to supermarket ( downhill near the harbour)

It was walkable to town and to the dock where the midnight cruise starts. The views of the port and mountains were good. The Icelandic seafood buffet had great variety snd was delicious.

The bathroom only had a dispenser of clear soap meant for washing and shampoo. I understand it is to cut costs but for $300 per night I expected at least a separate dispenser hair shampoo. But I did have a great single room with a great view.

The breakfast, but equally the atmosphere in the dining hall and the hotel as a whole, was very comforting. The history of the hotel and its continued association with seafarers and sailors, together with its location close to the bus-stop as well as the harbour, made for a lovely stay.

I'm not sure about what could have been better. Perhaps, the slightly musty smell emanating from the carpets in the corridors needs to be taken care of...

It is a non profit hotel run by a charity that helps sailors. Restaurant is open from 6 am to 9 pm non stop. Lot of older men come to eat at the restaurant. It reminds me of YMCA hostels where people are very accommodating. I like the public washroom that is accessible and family friendly with a change table and grab bars for the toilet. For shoppers there is a cash and carry nearby. On my check out day I saw a luxury cruiser dock outside the window and many people came to have breakfast.
