We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Our room was large with great views and a comfortable bed. Location for us was great. It was a 10-15 minute walk from town which we preferred and a 15 minute taxi ride from the airport. We ate at the restaurant a couple of nights and breakfast was simple but good too. The weather turned on our last day and we got stuck here for an extra two nights. Staff were understanding and accommodating. We won’t be returning to Nuuk but I would recommend Soma.

The staff was great and always eager to help in case we had a questions about the city or any places to visit. The room was comfy and had all necessary amenities.

Unfortunately the rooms were being cleaned every 3- 4 days, definitely not daily. After raising the issue multiple times to the staff of the hotel, suddenly the sheets were being changed daily and the room was being cleaned in general. It could have been that the cleaning crew was not doing its job properly so I cannot really tell if it was the hotel or the cleaning crew. The Wi-Fi was a big issue for me. I was not able to attend any Teams meetings due to the poor Wi-Fi connection that I had in my room. If your room is not directly above the reception desk, the signal is not strong enough.

The location was excellent as great views of the new harbour/port area but also only a 15 minute walk to the centre. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast area and food was lovely. The bed was super comfy - I had the best night’s sleep. Overall, a delightful and characterful hotel. I highly recommend a stay here and will definitely stay here again if I am lucky enough to return to Nuuk.

I asked for a quiet room but was given one beside the lounge area. However, this should not detract from any of my comments above as overall the hotel and staff were brilliant.

It is a non profit hotel run by a charity that helps sailors. Restaurant is open from 6 am to 9 pm non stop. Lot of older men come to eat at the restaurant. It reminds me of YMCA hostels where people are very accommodating. I like the public washroom that is accessible and family friendly with a change table and grab bars for the toilet. For shoppers there is a cash and carry nearby. On my check out day I saw a luxury cruiser dock outside the window and many people came to have breakfast.

May be missing a bar fridge.

The hotel is clean with good breakfast. Inside hotel is worm and there are bar and restaurant. I have eaten chicken hamburger and was delicious. They check in early us.

We stayed there two nights. In the second night in the midnight one man enter in our room. The same happand in room of my friend. He had the card that open our rooms. In the next morning we told it to the reception and after that they check what happand they said us that the man just checked rooms. I thing that is not normal to check rooms in midnight when people sleep.

There's no value for money about Greenland. You either decide to go and close your eyes to prices or you have a bad time. Thankfully everything else about Greenland is priceless. Loved my stay and will likely be back.

The location of the hotel, the staff, the breakfast made my stay as comfortable as possible. All of the trips that I booked were nearby the coast, so that was convenient to say the least. You have restaurants, stores and the coastline in a short distance. The room was clean and big enough for my stay and my preference. Excellent hotel!

I liked everything about it. No complaints.

Greenland is expensive so having the possibility of a room with shared bathroom helped to keep costs down. Soma is a chain and the branches in other towns recognized my phone so I had free internet even though I wasn't staying there. The hotel is near the port so it is both convenient for the coastal ferry and much more scenic than hotels in the center. The views from the breakfast room were wonderful and the breakfast itself was good

They advertise a free airport shuttle but they don't pick you up if you arrive on the later flight and the buses stop running early so you need a taxi

What a great experience. We actually loved that the property was not directly in downtown. Nuuk giving us the opportunity to walk half a mile each way taking a different road each time.

Would of liked more tourist information to do last minute -example Nuuk water taxi has many summer trips Be prepared in summer to have your flight delayed or canceled because of the fog no fault of the hotel. They are amazing with accommodating delays.
